Chapter 10: Framed

Chapter 10: Framed

Two days later, it was the last class period of the day.

Damien was locking up the student council room with a special key that only he, the student council president, had access to.

If you were to use one word to describe Damien’s day so far, it would be odd.

Despite the fact it was a normal Thursday, Damien had a bad feeling.

He was on guard the entire day but there was no indication anything was wrong. His intuition had never been wrong, yet

today he was off his game.

When there was a quiz in his general studies class, he got a 99%. Still at the top of his school year, but not an 100.

For most people that would’ve been excellent, however Damien wasn’t most people.

He always got 100% in everything he did, especially in academics.

These factors left Damien in sour mood.

‘What’s going on with me today? I never had an off day before, why is it happening now?’ He thought as he walked to his dorm room.

As he saw the door of his dorm room Damien stopped.

His eyes widened and he hurriedly ran toward his dorm.

The room was surrounded by multiple teachers and staff members of the school.

“What’s going on? Why are you guys searching my room?” Damien asked in confusion.

One of the staff members turned to him.

“We have received an anonymous tip that you were storing alcoholic beverages inside your dorm room.”

“What?”

Another staff member with short black hair appeared behind Damien.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.

“Student council president Damien Valorant, you are coming with me.”

‘The most reasonable course of action is to follow their orders until I find out what’s going on.’

“Yes sir” Damien replies as he follows the man who began to walk away.

After about 5 minutes, both Damien and the staff member reached a room.

The man opened the door and held it open for Damien as he walked in.

In the room there was a table and a chair on each side of the table.

The man sat in the first chair, and Damien sat in the left side.

“You may call me Mr Smith.” The man said.

“As you already know, you have been under investigation for having alcoholic beverages under your possession.” Mr Smith looked at Damien in the eyes.

“Are you aware that if these claims are proved to be true you could be under the threat of expulsion?” He asked.

“Yes I do sir. But, I never bought nor stored any alcoholic beverages. This anonymous tip is trying to frame me.” Damien responded.

Mr Smith sighed and scratched his head.

“Fair enough, but if we find alcohol in there, you will have to prove that you were framed.”

Then, Mr Wells walked into the room and called Mr Smith out.

“So? Did you find anything?” Mr Smith asked impatiently.

“Yes we did…” Mr Wells began to speak.

“We found beer and wine stuffed inside a mini fridge in his dorm room.”

Mr Smith’s eyes widened.

“Alright. I’ll inform Damien.”

Mr Smith entered a back inside the room Damien was in and spoke.

“We have found alcohol in your dorm room.”

Damien’s gaze sharpened quickly at this revelation.

‘I was definitely framed, someone planted alcohol inside my room. But who? No, I’ll figure that out later, right now I just need to get out of this situation as quickly as possible.’ Damien thought.

“If possible, may I be allowed to inspect the room? Maybe that way I can deduced who framed me. I promise to not tamper with any evidence and you may monitor me while I observe the dorm.” Damien asked.

This request confused Mr Smith but he nodded.

“Alright, that’s fine.”

Then, they went back to his dorm room.

When they arrived there was barely anyone inside the dorm compared to how many staff members there were before. This could be a result of them already confirming there was alcohol stored inside the room.

Damien walked inside and observed the room.

‘The room looks similar to it was before, however the culprit made some mistakes.’

Damien looked around and noticed some things.

‘The lamp is slightly more tilted than it usually is, along with the fact that the table my lamp is on isn’t dusty anymore which means they cleaned it.’

Damien walked towards the mini fridge and opened it. Mr Smith followed him and watched Damien to ensure he didn’t tamper with anything.

‘I knew it, the drinks are slightly crunched, meaning that the culprit held it too tightly.’

Damien turned towards Mr Smith.

“I know who the culprit is.”

The next day, we can see Mr Smith, Damien, and student council vice president, Mary.

“Mary, did you trespass into Damien’s dorm room and planted alcohol inside to frame him?” Mr Smith asked her.

“Yes.” Mary answered blankly.

“How did you obtain these beverages?”

Mary stayed silent and continued to look at Mr Smith blankly.

“Are you aware this will result in your expulsion?”

This time, Mary hesitated slightly, and looked down.

“Yes.”

“Alright, Mary you will stay here, Damien you are free to go.”

Damien got up from his seat.

“Thank you sir.”

Damien left and went to his dorm room.

‘Even though Mary didn’t actually do it, I still got out the situation properly.’

Damien lied on his bed.

‘I figured out that the culprit bumped into the lamp and put his hand on the desk, then he wiped down the desk to erase the evidence. And after bumping into the lamp he crushed the beer slightly. Then all I needed to do is have Mary tell the staff that the story was true and everything I described actually happened. That was simple, I just threatened her that I’d destroy her family business if she didn’t help since my family his very powerful. Either way, she was probably related to the culprit since I’ve suspected she wants to get me expelled.’

Damien turned on his side.

‘Although, the way the culprit did this was unnatural. They probably added those little hints to make me underestimate me so they can expel me next time.’

He smiled.

‘But everything worked out.’
