Roy knew that he can be stupid sometimes. But the moment he used the key to open the magical door of the goblin inner village, he realized that this was the most stupid he has ever been.
After all, what kind of a moron open would the front door of a settlement full of goblins in broad daylight. It was as if he was wanting to be killed.
So, like the overconfident moron he is, Roy opened the door. And the first scene he saw was that almost a hundred goblins were looking at him. They had an awkward staring contest for a few seconds and then the party started. In response Roy could only say,
"Fuck! I'm dead, aren't I?”

[Warrior Goblin- Lvl 15]
Two big warrior goblins were staying at the back. After having Roy on their sight, both of them gave a battle cry and the full village started running towards Roy.
Roy was stronger than every goblin that was present. But the problem did not lie there. It was their numbers. Roy thought to himself that rather than charging in now, he should utilize guerrilla warfare. But that plan went out the window as the door closed behind him with a bang.
Roy gave a weak smile at his opponents, unsheathed his new [Bastard Sword], keeping it on his right hand hand, and said,
“Let’s just hope I don’t die quickly.”
[Lord’s View activated.]
Just moment after Roy activated his skill, three goblins jumped at him. Roy used [Quick Step] and dodged out of the way. He needed to kill these goblins quickly. Even if they were weak, Roy had no confidence in killing them if 20 of these things surrounded him.
As Roy dodged out of the way, the goblins crashed in the exact spot he was in before. Roy used [Quick Step] again before the disoriented goblins could recover and appeared just beside one of them. He wasted no time at all as he slashed at the goblins head. No mana was used, but with his high dexterity and weapon quality, Roy felt as if he was cutting butter.
After killing the first one, Roy did not waste a single second as he side stepped and slashed at the second one cutting it in half across its body. But now the third one had already recovered. Without wasting any time, it threw the dagger towards Roy point blank. He did not have enough time to dodge and his sword was already mid-swing. So, he used his other free hand deflected the sword with perfect timing proving once more the importance of his high [Dexterity].
The weaponless goblin died not long after that. The sound of notification ringed inside his head but to his [Lord’s View] that was conveniently dulled out. It had been less than 10 seconds since the fight started and another group of six was upon him again.
Roy used [Quick Step] to dodge another stab to the chest. He wanted to counterattack but this new group was far more organized. They tried to successively attack him, so that he could not have any time to recuperate.
Roy watched from the corner of his eyes as another group of ten marched towards him. He needed to kill this group fast if did not want to be overwhelmed.
Roy used [Mana Manipulation] to pull one of the goblins close to him. This new skill let him manipulate mana in the environment. At his current level, he could only give a slight pull or push something as heavy as the [Worker Goblin].
The change of positioning disrupted the combination attack of the goblins and Roy captivated on theat. Within a second, he pounced on the goblins and slashed them left and right. The familiar sound rang inside his head but even before he could relax, he felt a tingling sensation at his back. It was nothing concreate, just some primal instinct. He quickly turned around and tried to dodge. But he was too late. A wooden arrow flied swiftly at him and stabbed him at his left shoulder.
Roy got pushed back from the recoil and realized in horror that if he was even a second late, then the arrow would have blasted his head wide open. Both his passives [Swift Processing] and [Pain Tolerance] worked overtime to find the archer without him succumbing to the pain.
Good news was that he found the archer. Bad news was that the archer was at the very opposite side of the village just beside the [Warrior Goblins]. No way in hell can he kill the archers as of now. The only possible option left for him was to dodge or parry every single arrow in the middle of his fight with almost a hundred goblins. There was nothing else he could do.
So, that’s exactly what he did. He fought and fought and fought. He used all his available skills to their limits. Every slash, every stab increased his proficiency. The duration of [Lord’s View] ended, which was now seven minutes after its increase in level.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Even after that he did not stop, he could not afford to stop. It felt as if his body was moving on its own. His left shoulder was already badly injured, his palm was bleeding heavily. But he did not stop. He slashed with his [Bastard Sword] in his right hand and parried the arrows with his left. It was as if he had turned into a killing machine with the only objective to eradicate all the goblins.
Roy did not know how much time had passed nor did he have the luxury to keep count. But he could see that the number of goblins were decreasing. All his equipment were painted in red with the blood of both him and the goblins. Multiple arrows were stuck to him in his arms and legs. Luckily, he managed to keep the damage in his vitals to the minimum.
People might have said that this was a fight for survival. But the grin in Roy’s face proved otherwise. He grinned from ear to ear as he continued his slaughter.
He dodged, he turned and he killed. He killed and killed. Even after that, he did not lose his mind, his rationality. Every time he killed, he kept pushing forward. His target was the archer. And just as he closed the distance enough, he summoned his [Dual Short-Swords] from his [Spatial Storage]. Roy swiftly grabbed one of the swords and threw at the archer. He used [Mana Manipulation] to increase the speed of the throw and [Mana Nullification] to give armor piercing capabilities to the sword. After reaching level 5 with the skill, Roy could now give a temporary null-magic coating to objects without having physical contact.
The archer had more [Perception] than the other goblins. So, the moment Roy summoned the swords, it figured out what was going to happen. The archer tried to block, but it was too slow. Even before it could block, the sword pierced its skull right in the middle of its eyes. The level 11 [Archer Goblin] did not even had a chance to block the attack.
With only ten goblins alive and the archer dead, Roy felt good about himself. He felt that with the annoyance gone, he could focus on the fight more. But it was a huge mistake. He had forgotten about the [Warrior Goblins] and how close they were to the archer. Seeing the big goblins not involve themselves in the fight, Roy thought that they will only intervene after all the goblins are killed. His hypothesis was based on the logic of video games. But this was not video games, it was real life. And even though system sometimes was similar to games; it was far from it. It was more unpredictable, more complex and more dangerous as Roy would now painfully realize.
Just after killing the archer Roy had turned around and started to kill two of the goblins behind him. One of the [Spear Goblins] dodged his slash and stabbed his abdomen. The stab was not that deep, but for a moment it hampered Roy’s movement. Even though it got sliced in half the next moment, it had done its job. Because Roy felt a danger behind him, it was more than he had ever sensed. He realized that before he could turn around and see the attack, he would be dead. He needed to dodge the attack. But in which direction would he go; Left, right or forward. He did not know. But he had to something, anything. So, he took a huge gamble and used [Quick Step] to shift to his left.
Roy heard two huge blasts behind him. His gamble paid off! He was alive! But he was far from uninjured as he felt a searing pain in his left foot. Roy did not need to look down to figure out that his left foot had been totally crushed.
Roy felt as if he could not continue to go on. He wanted to lie down. The pain was just too much. But he could not stop. It he stopped even just for a moment then he will die. So, gritted his teeth as he jumped with his only leg and dodged a slash by one of the smaller goblins. But he did not have the time to kill it as felt that another attack was coming from behind. Roy dodged with better timing this time and did not take damage. But the smaller goblin did not have such luck as it got crushed like a nut.
This was the first time Roy could properly see the [Warrior Goblins]. Both of them were burning with red mana. And they looked pissed. Way more pissed than the goblin last night. "Why were they so pissed?" Roy thought. Well, technically Roy did slaughter their whole village after all. Roy gave a weak smile at them and tried to lighten the mood,
“Sorry for being a bad guest?”
But in response they screamed at him and charged.
“So…. not a fan of dad jokes.”
Roy used [Quick Step] again as he dodged another attack. Even though he was in excruciating pain, he did not stop his rational thinking. [Swift Processing] helping him hugely in that department. He knew the remaining five small goblins will become a huge pain in the ass for him later. So, he needed to kill them first. And even if he could not kill them personally then the two [Warrior Goblins] needed to his job. With that in mind he collected his other short-sword from the ground and threw it at a [Sword Goblin]. It tried to parry the attack, but the power difference was just too much. Another goblin down with a stab to the throat.
Although the big goblins were faster with their power boost, it was not even comparable to Roy. And by now he already knew that they did not have any ranged attack. So, without even worrying about them, Roy rushed forward to kill another [Worker Goblin]. After killing it Roy quickly took out the arrow from his left shoulder and threw at the goblin that was trying to flee.
Roy repeated the process another time to kill last of the small goblins. Now, the only ones left were the big ones. Roy felt as if he could drop at any moment. He remembered how he almost died several times to these goblins last night, but this time it will be different. For a second Roy thought of using the [Health Potion], but quickly discarded the idea. After all there was no guarantee that these two were the last ones of this village.
Even before Roy could think of anything else, one of the goblins charged at him and the other followed soon after. He observed that the one was still quite a few feet behind him. Within a second a plan has formed in his mind, Roy smirked and held his bastard swords with both his hands for the first time.
He concentrated and erased every bit of unusual information from his mind; he was trying to replicate [Lord's View] without any skill.
The goblin charged with all its strength and Roy did not dodge. The huge club was coming to crush him and at the very last moment, Roy shifted his sword in one swift movement and parried the strike. It was preposterous to think that a club was being parried by a sword. But that is exactly what Roy did. The moment Roy parried the strike, the goblin went off balance and without wasting any moment Roy used all his necessary skills and slashed it across its torso. With its lower defense, the goblin did not even have a chance to defend Roy’s strike as it split open in two halves.
But Roy was not done yet. Even before the body could hit the group, Roy kicked one part of the body towards the remaining goblin. It was still charging towards him and as soon as it realized what was happening, it swung its club and removed the body from its way. The goblin thought that it had dodged the attack but what greeted him was Roy’s grinning face along with his null magic coated bastard sword.
With the final decapitation of the [Goblin Warrior], the fight was over. Roy sighed with relief as he stood amongst hundreds of corpses. It was a total bloodbath, a slaughter. He looked up at the sky which had the orange hue of dusk and murmured to himself,
“At last, its over!”
“Not really. Its just over for now.”
Roy swiftly went on high alert after hearing the new and alien voice. He stepped back as positioned his sword for an ambush. But the moment he looked above, his eyes went wide as his danger sense exploded.
