The moment Roy opened his eyes, he realized that he was in some sort of clearing. He heard some sounds of notifications coming inside his head. For the moment he ignored them and as he was calming down, he said to himself,
“What the fuck just happened?”
Okay, he knew what happened; after all the System has told him so. But still, it was kind of nuts if you think about it. The concept of the multiverse being real was amazing enough, but still the System left quite an impression on Roy.
But that was not the weirdest thing for Roy. The weirdest thing was how Roy was so accepting of the ideas System gave him. Better yet, why the fuck does he still not feel anything. He is supposed to panic and scream because his life has totally changed in the span of 10 minutes in the hand of a really powerful and really edgy omnipotent being (who laughed at his own joke). Then again, did he truly care about the life he led until now? Did his life really change or did it just change its …
Roy stopped himself from thinking these things. It was neither the time nor the place for psychoanalyzing himself. First came the observation of his surroundings. Roy instantly realized that his clothes have already been swapped with his new equipment.
He wore brown armor and brown trousers. The sleeves of his armor were dyed white and his gloves were dyed black. He also had a pair of large black boots. Roy didn’t mind the armor and trousers. But he absolutely hated the gloves and the boots. Although he still kept them on so that he would not get injured accidentally just because he was feeling a bit uncomfortable. He could feel his ring inside his gloves which was also really weird. But not weird as seeing actual swords.
Roy was a city boy through and through. Martial art was one of his hobbies growing up and the whole blame goes to the beautiful cinematography of “Karate Kid”. But Roy had no fucking clue about swords. Then again as he had chosen his class to be a “Spell-sword”, he had no other choice but to learn it. So, without wasting any more time he unsheathed both swords. Both the swords were extremely simple steel swords without any noticeable pattern. Also, he could feel that the “Swordsman-ship” skill working as he could instinctively do some sword moves. So, that was a good thing, right? After playing with them for a bit he sheathed them carefully so that he did not damage something.
Roy still remembered that he had some unread notifications. So, he swiftly analyzed his surroundings to find a safe spot to review them. And him being in a clearing didn’t really help. So, he took the Sun as his natural compass and went North. After running for five minutes, he found a tall tree. Roy quickly climbed the tree mid-way, so that he could have a natural camouflage. After properly positioning himself there he opened his system messages.

This is a new beginning and like every other beginning it is going to be extremely hard. For you to survive in the future you need to be stronger. Stronger than you have ever imagined. That is why you need to face situations that encompass Life and Death. So, strengthen your resolve and strive to survive. The system wishes you the best of luck as you clearly need it to survive more than a day.

Rewards: A Common item and common skill of your own choosing
After reading both the quests and their objectives a couple more times, he realized that the objectives are fairly simple. Just survive, kill, level up and for that you get to go to the new Universe. But Roy was absolutely certain that there are many hidden quests inside the tutorial. And most probably those hidden quests will give him the highest number of rewards.
Roy also caught something interesting in the description. The system message told him that any extra feat that he could earn will be rewarded by the system. So, there is a clear indication that feats can be earned inside the tutorial and Roy also deduced that he needed to earn more feats as the feats earned during the tutorial will be far less difficult as everyone is kind of a baby with the new universe concept.
Another thing that caught his eyes was that there was no mention of [Titles]. So does that mean no one can get titles inside the tutorial? Or is it that gaining titles gives rewards that are not at all bound by the tutorial? Roy thought about this for a couple of minutes and decided to deal with it later. So he again continued to read his system messages.

So, this is my new trait- Roy thought to himself. Roy had no idea what any of these meant. Although he could guess that his skills were kind of like anti-magic or something. He quickly pulled up his Status Screen.

The first thing he noticed after opening his status menu was that his trait-based skills did not have any rarity tag. Which kind of made sense as trait-based skills were dependent upon one’s personality. He also noticed that his class based stat points are automatically distributed. He had two free points and he quickly allocated them towards his vitality. After all, he needed HP to survive.
Now it was the time to check out his new traits and skills.
Mana Nullification -Lvl 1
You use your own null magic to nullify the mana around you. With the increase in proficiency, you can focus on a specific part of your body or can extend it towards any weapon to maximize its effect. The consumption of mana will be dependent upon different variables.
Roy could already guess that he had an affinity for [Null Magic]. And this Mana Nullification skill must be one of the most basic skills. But still, this could turn out to be an excellent tool for him. Especially during this beginner stage. He tried to activate the skill and concentrate it on his hand. For a moment he perceived a white light which was his null magic but it disappeared just as fast and the anti-magic field expanded towards his surroundings. The effectiveness of the Null magic was diminished greatly. Roy realized that he needed to do some practice with this skill before he could use it properly. He needed to use it on his swords so that he can use this skill properly
Lord's View-Lvl 1
Upon activation of your skill, you take on the Lord's View for 5 minutes. In the Lord's eyes, everything is a mere tool to be used for his own gain. He disregards anything that he deems useless as he strives with the one and only objective in mind and that is to achieve his goal.
MP Cost: 40
Roy just stared at the skill description and the MP cost for nearly a minute. Both the skill and MP cost was outrageous. He could already imagine the hundreds of different ways he can utilize this skill. This skill was like a GPS which pave the way towards the desired goal. m Roy felt it deep inside his bones that Lord's View is going to accompany him for a long time - if he stays alive that is.
Now, time to see his trait description.
Absolute Nullification
You are the embodiment of apathy. You do not care about anyone or anything in the whole multiverse. You are incapable of feeling emotions. You are the true nothingness. After reading his trait description, Roy sighed. This short description has already answered some questions about himself that he was trying to deny. The last line also caught his eyes, but he judged it to be an exaggeration of the System. For now, he put a stop to his thinking. He will properly judge these things after he survives the tutorial.
Roy slowly started to climb the tree. He was satisfied with his trait skills although he had multiple questions in him mind about the description of his trait. But, that was future Roy's problem.
Still the good thing was that he could actually try to defend himself now. After all that’s what really matters.
