Sorry if you saw a notification pop-up and got excited about me publishing a new chapter only to see this instead, but I wanted to share this sooner than Saturday.
So, erm, as of right now, I finished writing chapter 20 of volume 5, which for all intents and purposes, is the LAST MAIN chapter of Abby and Violet. That leaves the last interlude chapter to be written which will be published the week next to the last main chapter. Those that have previously acquired previous volumes might be aware that those interlude chapters are left for the "official" release, but this time, I chose to also publish the ones belonging to vol. 5. My reasoning is, if you're one of the people who've been following and reading what I've published on RoyalRoad or Scribble, you've earned it in a way, even if you don't buy them from Amazon, Patreon (once I get the store running) or anywhere else I put them on sale through Draft2Digital.
The plan was to have vol.4 and vol.5 edited by the 1st of December, but with only 10 days left, that'd mean editing about 1400000 over that period of time, or 14k words a day... ooh, boy.
The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
I'll have to read each at least once to see and make notes about the flow of the story before even starting to do any edits, do said edits, add needed stuff here and there, remove unneeded this or that, reading it all again, make more needed edits, rinse and repeat ad nauseam.
I'll see if I can at least edit the 4th volume until the 14th of December, that one being +-60000 words, but still, I can't make promises.
Once this is all done, I'd also like to do something to celebrate and bid farewell to these characters as the main thing my daily life turns around for the past 6 or so years (I'm getting old, but somehow my beard is still crap.) Maybe dust off an old discord channel I have and do some sort of stream for those interested once I figure out how that's done correctly. That'll have to way for next year however, since there's still the matter of selling my grandparent's house and then do some much needed renovations on my current one. It will sound like I'm exaggerating, but I really mean it when I say that parts of it have started falling off.
I'd also like to take a few days off after all of this is settled and before I start working on a new project too, but I'll take those when I feel like this is all properly taken care of.
Thank you for reading this, and may you have the rest of a nice week.
