A Stay in a Village 6

A Stay in a Village 6

"So how was the snack I made for you and your friends, Snow."

"They said it's delicious."

"Is that right? I'm glad."

Currently, we're in bed and I'm sitting on Night's thighs as she questioned me about my day.

With the cloth thing removed, I could effectively feel the warmth of Night who is right behind me.

And regarding their questioning, I don't think it's that interesting, at least for them, about my day. I'm sure they've experienced something more fun than what I had.

I don't get why they wanted to hear how my day was.

But contrary to my obvious confusion, the two seemed to be genuinely interested.

Sun has been smiling for a while now as if she's waiting for something while Night is red as blood and uncharacteristically huggy.

Of course, not like I mind the hugging part. I quite like it after all.

The problem is that Night is blushing.

Although I'm more used to it by now, you know, it's making me feel as if my head is flying up the sky.

Thankfully, I'm not that hungry right now so I don't think that I'll be pouncing on her any time soon.

… unless if she did something inviting.

"What about you, Snow? Did you find it delicious?"

"It's okay."

"Mmm… if we get to the capital, I'll make better tasting food for you."

Oh…!

That sounds promising. Human food, if cooked decently, could rival that of rabbit's blood.

And I know that what Night did isn't the pinnacle of human cooking as well. I'm sure that I can safely hope that this capital place has better tasting ingredients.

But they could always just add blood and it'll taste a hundred times better.

Well, that'll depend on the taste of the individual, I guess. Humans will never understand the greatness of blood.

While I was thinking that, Sun mentioned something outrageous.

"Rather than the quality of the ingredient, I think Snow just found it disappointed that it lacked something."

She isn't really making anything up.

I did find something lacking in the fried potatoes but I didn't expect that Sun would point it out just like that.

"S-something lacking…?"

"That's right~!"

Then Sun moved her shirt to show Night the bite mark I made earlier on her neck.

"!… Snow bit you!?"

"Yup! And it felt reeeeally good."

I could see Night's throat moved as she gulped down her saliva.

This might be bad. What has gotten on Sun? Did me biting her changed the way she thinks?

I should be careful. I'll have to think about what it does to the other party as well.

Then suddenly, Night held me close to her.

"U-um… what does that have to do with the potatoes?"

"It doesn't have blood. Isn't that right, Snow?"

I simply didn't respond. Something is happening and I'd rather not help stir whatever that something is.

And it seems that Sun had found out about my reason for my dissatisfaction about the potatoes.

I guess it was obvious when I look back on it.

Night looks to be troubled by what Sun had said.

She then directed her attention to me.

"Would Snow prefer it if I added blood?"

"… yeah."

I can't lie about this after all. It's something I truly desire.

"... Then would my blood suffice?"

When I agreed that I preferred it, I didn't mean that it should be Night's.

But then again, I could get to taste Night's blood in the food that she makes.

So I nodded as a reply.

Night expression turned stiff upon hearing my answer. Her face got even redder and her lips closed shut. Night's fragrant scent wafts through the air and entered my nose as if gently inviting me over.

Is this a chance? Though I'm not that hungry, I would still like to try Night's blood.

I tried it before and it was great. It's a taste that I'm simply craving all this time. And now, I may have a chance to taste it again.

I reached out and caressed the side of her neck as a test if she really wanted to or not.

And Night replied by closing her eyes and rubbing her cheek on my hand.

Is this the go signal? Did I get her permission? Human body language is weird so I don't know.

Upon seeing my confused face, Night giggled softly and answered the biggest question I have currently.

"... It's fine, Snow."

With that, I plunged my fangs into the side of her neck, just above the collarbone.

Night's warm blood entered my fangs.

The feeling of drinking blood from a human like this is simply pleasurable.

As it thought, Night's blood is really delicious.

If I have to pick between Sun and Night, I don't know what to choose. I like both.

Like Sun before, soon after I started to suck her blood, Night began to pant. Her warm rough breaths hit my ear which made this experience all the more enjoyable.

" … eep! S-snow…"

I heard her say but she didn't sound to be in pain so I kept going.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

When I'm satisfied with the amount I drank, I pulled out my fangs.

"… Snow... Do the same thing to me..."

I assume she means leaving my bite mark on her like Sun?

I don't mind but I don't understand why she wanted to.

Like Sun, since the one I made had healed, I bit her again after wiping off the saliva off of my fangs.

The two small wounds healed enough that it stopped bleeding but it didn't heal all the way.

That should be fine.

When I tried to remove myself from her, Night suddenly pulled me back closer to her into a hug.

It's warm. It's fine. But why?

"Let me stay like this for a while…"

Is what Night said.

Then I guess I should indulge myself with Night's slightly high body temperature.

But then...

"Hey, Roosevelt, that's unfair!"

"Ho? Then join us."

For some reason, Sun hugged me as well.

The feeling of being surrounded by two warm bodies… it feels like I'm floating.

And coupled with Sun's large breast squeezing behind me and Night's smaller pair at my front, the comfy degree is in a whole other level.

It definitely feels a lot better than just squeezing myself in between them while they sleep. Being squeezed intentionally, it's simply amazing.

"Mmm…"

I let out a moan from just how good I was feeling right now. Truth be told, I'd like to stay like this for a thousand years.

But soon after that moan, came a yawn.

I think it's afternoon right now, after all.

Just remembering the time made me sleepy, and combined with this same sensation, I couldn't fight the sleepiness no matter how much I try.

And before I knew it, I dozed off.

•••

The fact that when I opened my eyes, there's no bright light entering my eyes nor any light at all in the room must mean that it's night already.

Due to my vampiric descent, I could see quite well in the dark.

And with that vision, I saw that the strangely acting human warmers from before are gone.

They must be doing something else.

I exited the room and I saw Sun sitting on a chair, papers laid out on the table and an object with a fire inside, lighting the whole room.

A lantern? It sounds like the name of a person.

Noticing my footsteps, Sun looked up towards me and smiled at me softly.

"Good evening, Snow."

"Un."

It looks like Sun had calmed down now. She was rather weird earlier after all. The two of them that is.

What Sun is doing currently is she's writing something on a paper at the top of the stack of paper, bound by a string.

Is this what they meant when they're making scrolls?

So I asked, but that didn't seem to be the case.

"I'm making a [summary]."

"A [summary]?"

Sun looked up at the ceiling for a moment before answering.

"It's a shortened version of these papers."

I think I get it.

The bunch papers that Sun had brought, there's a lot of human words in them after all. If she's making it a shorter version, then I can understand why she would do that.

I came closer to take a better look at what she's doing, being careful not to disturb her.

I simply watched her silently like that.

When I got tired of standing, I sat down on the chair next to her and continued to watch her like that.

There's something fun about watching someone do something. It's something like an activity where your eyes and ears are the only things that are needed. It's something relaxing.

After a couple of minutes passed, Sun turned to me.

Her expression is hard to read.

"Have you ever been lonely, Snow?"

She asked me in a kind of voice that I associate to being motherly.

Thinking about her question a little bit more, I arrived in the same answer that I said to Leo.

"No."

"Oh? For me, I feel lonely whenever I look at these papers."

Her smile didn't disappear but I could feel that Sun is thinking about something sad again.

She would often think like that whenever she looks at the papers when we were traveling.

I still haven't felt sadness before, yet I know what it is.

It doesn't make sense.

"It's something precious, like that. But it's okay now. I still got Roosevelt, and you."

Sun perked up as she returned her gaze towards me as if her earlier expression was all a lie.

"Even though we've just met just recently, I feel like wanting to devote my whole life to you."

Sun is becoming that again.

The same look in her eyes from before, where she's all clingy and wanting me to bite her.

She then leaned closer to me and caressed my left cheek with her right hand. Her obvious excitement is apparent but I could feel that there's an underlying sense of nervousness from her.

"Will you let me, Snow?"

I reflexively nodded at her sudden question of approval.

I felt like I was just suddenly taken in by Sun's gaze for a moment. Like something controlled me and made me agree without my consent.

After seeing me agree, her eyes lit up and suddenly hugged me out of nowhere and begun to thank me repeatedly for some reason.

Since she's all happy like that, I don't think that taking back what I said or nodded on would be a good thing to do so I let it be.

Then she placed me on her thighs, saying that with this, I could get a better view, and continued what she was doing. This time, with a big grin on her face and slightly redder cheeks than before.

Since she smells so delicious, I leaned closer to her and buried my face on her neck.

Needless to say that she was rather surprised about that but she let it be and gently caressed my head, her fingers fixing my hair bit by bit.

Although, now that I think about it, I think Sun said some not-normally-said words.

But I'm sure it'll turn out alright in the end.

Whether it is something normal for humans to devote their lives to another person in a non-slave like a manner or not doesn't matter to me.

If Sun wanted it then what's wrong about it.

A little later, Night came and she seemed to be quite angry at something. Judging from where she is glaring, it's pretty obvious who's the subject of her anger.

"I'll get to hug Snow tonight."

Is what she demanded while puffing her cheeks

And why am I involved in this?

"I should say this now but it was Snow that wanted this."

Since when did I say that? These two had been saying some untruthful stuff lately.

With a 'fu fu fu', Sun then continued with her greeting.

Night simply sighed to that and begun to place the things that she had brought on the unoccupied side of the table.

There's a couple of things in the basket that she brought.

There's a green vegetable that looks to be made out of large leaves, rolled together in a ball, a weird yellow elongated oblong thing covered in yellow squares, a red thing with a seemingly watery content, and another red thing with a harder surface.

Their names seem to be cabbage, corn, tomato, and apple, respectively.

There are also the ones that I'm familiar with; Carrots and potatoes.

Is Night going to make a stew from all of these?

Seeing me eyeing the foodstuff that she brought, Night offered me an apple.

"Do you want one, Snow?"

"Is it okay?"

"Of course."

Since she offered, I couldn't really refuse.

But upon having a hold on it, there's a slight problem.

This apple feels hard. Can I really eat this?

"Roosevelt, can I have a knife?"

Upon Sun's sudden request, Night gave her one of the smaller knives that we have.

After saying her thanks, she took the apple and begun to slice it in half.

Inside the apple is a white flesh, with sweet-smelling liquid dripping from the surface.

Sun then cut it up in smaller pieces until it's bite-sized.

"Here, open your mouth, Snow~."

As she asked, I open my mouth and Sun fed me the apple slices.

As I expected, it tastes sweet. I like it.

It's certainly not up to par with blood, obviously but this is good enough.

I'd prefer this as a snack.

With vigor, I ate it all in a short time. For the next apple, I'm the one who fed Sun. I'd like for her to try it as well.

Although Sun's cheek turned red because of it, she accepted me feeding her nonetheless.

After a short while, Night is finally done with the thing that she's cooking.

Like before, it's a stew, but this time, it contains more ingredients and it's more complex looking.

But compared to before, there's no meat. Should I hunt some rabbits in the future?

"Please clean up the table, we're eating."

"Alright."

After sun put away all the papers, Night served us our portion.

Mine looks different though.

Its broth is more red looking. And something about it smells familiar.

I pulled on the hem of Night's clothes to get her attention.

"It looks redder."

"That's because I added my own blood on your portion, Snow."

So she did.

That's why it smells like there's blood mixed in it.

But of course, it's not that I'm not happy but if she did that, she had to injure herself, right? And it didn't have to be just Night's blood either. It could just be some other animals blood like rabbits.

Although I did say that, I would prefer having Night's blood in my food. I guess it's partly my fault?

I can't have these humans go around, having open wounds on their bodies. They can't heal quickly after all.

And so I inquired.

"Your wound, show?"

Night was confused as to what I meant at first but she soon understood.

"Ah, okay…"

She shyly showed me her wrist which has a cut wound. The bleeding wasn't much now but the area around it is getting all red, and it doesn't seem to be because of her blood.

I licked the wound, all the while ignoring Night's embarrassed face and after a short while, it had started to heal.

It didn't heal all the way through. Probably because my saliva is only capable of that much so I asked Sun to heal the rest.

I didn't like the fact that she needed to injure herself to do this but since I could finally have Night's delicious human blood mixed in the food that I eat, which is also pretty good, I refuse to end it all because of that.

So rather asking her to stop, I instead said: "I'll heal you after so only make small cuts."

I'm guessing that the healing properties of my saliva are capable of only healing small wounds like the wound I leave when I bite creatures. So if Night cut herself lightly, my saliva should be able to heal it all without needing Sun's healing thing.

Since it was still a small wound, Sun healed it in a couple of minutes.

And also because of all that, the food that Night made had become slightly cold.

Thus, we started eating soon after.

As expected, the stew this time tasted amazing. With Night's blood in the mix, the tastiness of the dish became a hundred times better.

Night seems to be happy as well that I'm enjoying my meal but Sun looked at it differently.

"Next time, we'll be using my blood!"

"Nope. I was already assigned to this role."

Sun's cheeks puffed up from seeing Night's provoking smile.

Seeing this reminds me of another pair.

I should see them tomorrow as well.
