We ended that certain day by burning all of the corpses. It was quite a sight. There's just something mesmerizing about seeing a huge fire flicker around. Though the smell is incredibly bad.
Burning the bodies wasn't my idea. It was Night's, I think. I do think that getting rid of the bodies is a good idea but, you know, it's troublesome to bury all of them...
So I for one thought of just leaving the bodies there and have those wolves, goblins, or those black birds to eat them but Night took initiative and started to stack the bodies together.
For the items of those bodies, we removed them and placed them in one spot. We didn't remove their clothes because it seems hard to do so only their armor, weapons and other items. Although we did take a couple of shirts for clothing purposes.
But before we burned them, I took some blood from them and stored it in one of their water containers. I filled up about three water containers.
Sun and Night also took some things from the pile of items. To name a few of those items, they were a couple of shiny round metal things called coins, several water containers, a few metal rods, a paper thing with shapes drawn on them, a round thing called a compass and other things.
It was quite a lot so it was hard trying to fit everything inside the compartment under the seat of the carriage. When morning came, I went and hunted two rabbits, to which Night burned them and the two ate them. I tried some and it tasted horrible. Definitely not going to try that again.
A little later that day, we left the place and headed off to where the two are trying to get to.
I also asked them to teach me their language to which Sun happily complied. She first taught me simple words, then she taught me how sentences are structured and where certain words go and other things.
It seems that I learn fast, is what Sun told me. I don't know how fast one normally learns the language of humans but it took me three days to somewhat understand what they're saying and another day to speak their language. Overall, 4 days.
"My~! You're quite a fast learner, aren't you?"
Sun complimented me and held me against her large chest when I managed to say "I love you" in their language. Her chest is warm so I liked this having been done to me.
Night also rubbed my head, which is nice.
When I managed to learn their language, they asked me what my name was. I don't think I have a name so I told them that. They then named me Snow. It sounded nice so I liked it.
During those 4 days, Night's head wound had also healed completely. They told me that it's because of the magic of Sun but I don't really understand that.

We also encountered a long, flowing body of water called a river at the side of the road. From there, we washed ourselves. My hair, that turned into a tangled mess, returned to how it was initially, at least somewhat.
I like this concept of bathing. I'll be sure to keep an eye out on any more bodies of water that we may encounter on our way.
After that, we didn't smell like blood anymore which is both fortunate and unfortunate, for me at least.
Sun and Night also washed their clothes in the river. From what I saw, they have two sets of clothes.
For Sun, she has the frilly dress with blue and white color combination to which she wore once when I met her and the one she's wearing now which is something like what human males wear with the difference being on what she wore to cover her lower part, which is something called a skirt.
For Night, her dress is something, to which she described as being maid clothes. Now, she's wearing her other clothes which are the same as Sun's clothes.
As for me, Sun gave me something that she made using the clothes of those human males. It's a grey one-piece dress.
"It suits you well, Snow."
"Right!? She's really cute wearing that dress!"
"Comfy. Thank you."
This clothing doesn't keep me as warm as the previous one that Sun gave me, but it is lighter and easy to wear.
After that's all done, we washed the blood off of the carriage. It seems that when blood dried, it's not a liquid anymore and it even seemed to have stuck on the surface of the carriage, making it harder to remove. In the end, we didn't remove them all but at least it isn't that obvious. Removing the blood stains is important after all so that other humans won't be scared of us.
As for the door, we couldn't reattach it so we went on without it.
When I ran out of human blood, I hunted more of those rabbits to refill my blood containers but Night scolded me for hunting way too many. She said that it would disrupt the 'ecosystem' of the forest.
So I decided to hunt at night when they're all asleep. Did I try to drink their blood while they're asleep? Of course not. They would wake up when I do that and I don't know how to explain myself if I get caught.
I don't really know what their opinions on having their blood sucked, but I'm sure they wouldn't like that so I refrained from doing that, until they agreed to it that is.
They told me about that 'scroll' things that they often use when starting a fire. According to the explanation that Night gave me, the scrolls use something called mana to activate the symbols written in the paper in order to produce fire. This also uses the same concept on the magic thing that Sun used on Night's head injury apparently. I don't really understand it so I just nodded along with her explanation.
Night would also often head in the forest and pick 'berries' and 'fruits'. These ones taste way better than those burned rabbit meat but it still doesn't beat the taste of blood. I'd say it's better than boar blood.
And concerning our sleeping schedule, it's typically me sleeping in the afternoon and them sleeping at night. Anything in between is traveling. Though at night, they insisted that I sleep with them. I'm not particularly tired at night so I only stayed with them until they fell asleep and continued to pull the carriage.
And at night, the plains are really interesting. Sparkling dots of light filled the night sky, with a huge round bright thing called the moon that would slightly change shape every day.
There's also the occasional visit from one of those wolves and goblins. They weren't exactly peaceful when they came so I ripped off their heads for them. Of course, they don't only visit at night.
At one point, Sun questioned the fact as to why we weren't attacked at night since she heard stories of travelers getting attacked by monsters at night. I decided not to answer that.
We passed our days like that and in a blink of an eye, which is true when compared to the time when I was just a soul, we saw several structures on the horizon.
Judging from the reaction of Sun and Night, I guess we arrived at something of interest.
