Firstly, analyze the situation.
There are 12 humans with varying kinds and numbers of armor placed on varying places on their bodies. All of them have a sword. There's also 4 more hidden behind the thicket. It should be fine to ignore them.
There's also the big armor guy who I just recently injured. It's safe to assume that he won't be fighting this time. Plus, he's already at the verge of death. Or not.
All of them seems to have the intent to kill us but they're all keeping their distance. Probably because they're cautious.
I don't know what other abilities that humans have. Lacorte didn't say anything of the sort though so maybe it's fine to not suspect anything.
Alright, from how I easily beat this big human, and as well as those 4 humans before, it should be plainly obvious that I'm stronger than any of them.
Maybe I can beat them after all. But still, it's best to be cautious. I'd rather not get injured. I don't like pain, I regret not having that part removed.
One came forward to attack me. A simple swing over the head like the big human did.
Easily, I dodged it and then I grabbed his clothes and kicked him towards the others.
I managed to to get 2 of them. They'll take time stand up again.
Then, 4 of them came at me at once as the rest advanced forward. I punched the closest one in the face but he barely managed to dodge it. My fist grazed his cheeks though so he still lost his balance and fell down.
The other 3 attacked me after that. All three of them aimed to attack different areas. One aimed at my head, the second at my torso, then the their at my legs.
I could simply use a bit of strength to move myself a fair bit distance backwards. But maybe I should just block it using my arms, just to see how painful it is to get hit by one of those swords.
Even though I said that I'd rather not get injured, this might be a good opportunity to feel know how painful it is right now so I wouldn't get surprised by the degree of pain later on.

Prioritizing my head and torso, I held up my arms to block it, leaving my legs exposed.
Two words slashed at my arms and it didn't feel pleasant at all. I could tell that the wound it left is deep, with blood pouring out of them. The other sword hit the shin of my legs which had almost made me lose balance.
This sensation is definitely something that I won't forget.
Still, I'm sure this kinds of wound should have felt more painful but oddly enough, they didn't hurt as much as I would have expected them to. Of course it's still really painful.
Using this brief pause in their action, I spun around and kicked the head of the one who hit my leg, sending him flying.
I continued the spin and used it to bring myself forward to the other one right in the chest. He wheezed in pain as he toppled backwards. The last tried to strike me again with a horizontal swing but I managed to dodge it and brought my left foot on his jaw, bringing him down.
Then the one I barely managed to punch had stood up. He still looked fazed so I easily brought him down again.
I didn't think I've caused the four anything that fatal but they didn't move after that so maybe they died.
And as expected, my wounds had healed significantly after just a few seconds.
When I looked at the other 8 humans, they stopped their advance. One of them blew an irritatingly loud sound.
Then four fast moving things came out from the thicket. Most likely it was fired by the ones hiding behind the thicket. I narrowly dodged them but I'm sure the next one's won't have any chance to hit me now that I am aware of them. Unless they increased the amount.
I really hope that these humans are a special case and that most humans aren't like this. If most of them are as aggressive as this then I would rather talk to a boar than with humans then.
Looks like they couldn't throw those things at me consecutively.
After that, the remaining 8 human males rushed at me.
Even if they're weak individually, I'm not so sure if I can handle 8 of them. In this case, I should properly go for the kill.
Using the same thing I did to the first four humans that I've killed, I beheaded the first one that attacked.
I tried to retaliate towards the next one but another one hit me from behind. I flinched from the pain but still managed to hit another one, but my hit wasn't fatal. The armor on his head blocked my attack.
He then counterattacked by reflexively thrusting his sword. By then I was trying to dodge out of the way of another sword swing so I was hit right on my chest.
The sword pierced at the side of my stomach. This isn't good. No matter how good a vampire's regeneration is, if my head or heart get destroyed, I'm done for!
I used all my strength to get me out of the encirclement, taking a human with me, to which I snapped the head of shortly after.
I then threw the body towards them, strong enough to knock them off their feet.
But right after I just did that, those annoying flying things, which are called arrows it seems, suddenly zoomed past my face.
Before I could even react to the next arrow, it had already embedded itself inside my head.
The pain came afterwards but I couldn't really feel it all to well. I lost my vision, then my hearing, then soon after, sense of smell came after.
I could still feel blood flowing out of my skull. I could feel the pool of blood that I'm lying on. I could feel it increasing in area.
I couldn't believe it. It happened so suddenly.
I was careless there. I knew that there are arrow-shooting humans with them but I completely forgot about them in most crucial point. No, I don't think it's because of that.
Even if I didn't forget about them, I would surely still get hit by an arrow. Those humans must have planned this all along.
It was me who underestimated them.
In the end, I couldn't save those two. I'm sure those humans would've killed them by now.
Ugh... I couldn't believe this. I didn't even last a month in living in this world.
I'm sure I would've disappointed Lacorte...
I'm sure that I...
I'm...Tired.
