It stopped.
The alpha Lirel just stopped as soon as I used {Glare of the moon}. No weird effect, no "everything went blank", nothing trying to take over my mind. The skill just, activated, and the Lirel just, stopped.
I don’t know why I was so afraid to use it! Probably because I thought that because it had come from something like a prophetic title that it would make me fall in a certain line.
Anyway, I’ve got a bunch of Lirels to kill.
First, I tried using [Spike launch] on the alpha. It only left a dent in it, so all I had to do was to use it repeatedly! I used it about twenty times before running out of stamina, but a least I made a small wound! After recovering for a bit, I started using [Poisonous bite] over, and over, and over and over and over and over again, until the alpha Lirel stumbled and fell down, dead. I won. I somehow managed to defeat a being multiple times stronger than me, I mean, I did beat a spider much stronger than me before, but this isn’t the same thing… The spider felt more satisfying to kill. Anyway, the other Lirels seemed to be recovering from the poison. They were like 6, I was exhausted beyond measure, but I had just killed their leader, depending on their level of intelligence, they might retreat.
The Lirels started backing up when one of them stepped forward, seemingly trying to encourage the others to attack me all at once. Shit. They all started stepping towards me, granted, with their injuries, it was rather slowly. I was way too exhausted to use [Flight], or to move, but the time they took to get in range was enough for me to recover enough energy to slowly move around.

I tried using {Glare of the moon} again, but nothing happened… WHAT’S THE POINT OF HAVING SUCH AN OVERPOWERED ABILITY IF I CAN ONLY USE IT ONCE!?!
Well, at least I still have the skill, so I’ll look into it later.
They all threw nuts at me, but I jumped over them, I then tried to go around the tree as fast as I could, I then sprinted to the next one, but when I was trying to get to the next one, a Lirel tried intercepting me, so I used [Spike launch], however, with how exhausted I was, I missed. It then tried to attack me using its claws, but I jumped to the left and bit its arm, which gave me the opportunity to escape from it.
Then I felt a searing pain as a huge, gooey object violently collided with me, making me get knocked back a good distance. Then the Lirels all lined up in front of me, ready to shoot me down as I’m stuck to the ground. Then it happened, what I was preparing for this entire part of the fight payed off. You see, I was using [Thread manipulation] non-stop since I started dashing around, I was trying to set up a simple trap. I actually meant to miss earlier, but I still didn’t hit my target, not that it really matters, the trap was just set in another place, and that place just so happens to be where they all are. A stroke of luck? Of course not! I was trying to set them up to group up at that spot anyway, they just accelerated the process.
So now I have six Lirels dangling in the air, waiting for me to kill them. Unfortunately for them, they’ll have to wait until I manage to get that nut off of me…
So turns out that the reason my energy restored so quickly was because of [Photosynthesis]! Well, I say "so quickly", it’s not like I had enough energy to fly around at max speed instantly, but still, it was way faster than when I was human! Anyway, after many pulley contraptions and a lot of threads, I managed to break free from the nut, so afterward it was just a matter of poisoning the Lirels until they died, then I ate the alpha, and I finally went to sleep in my tent. When I woke up, I went to see the trapped Lirels and surprisingly enough, they were still there. I honestly expected a random animal to have taken them. I guess they taste bad or something, not really something I can complain about since I just eat whatever I can, anyway, time to dig in!
