Chapter 5 - Out in the wild

Chapter 5 - Out in the wild

After flying for a while, I looked back to make sure I wasn’t followed. Surely enough, all I could sense was trees and some little animals. Well, little compared to the elves, but for me... Let’s just say it would be smart to avoid them as much as possible. I then started to scout to try to find some food and water sources. After searching for many uneventful hours, I finally managed to find a "Siniclia" bush (basically some purple berries that somehow aren’t toxic) near a river. I went to a nearby tree branch and started using [Thread manipulation Lv1] to create myself a little tent, not long after, I felt the presence of a bunch of wolves… That’s what I assume them to be, at least. Yeah, I ain’t going out when predators are around, at least, not for now, that would simply end with my death. I may be able to take on any insect, but not much more than that. Somehow, after a few minutes, they went away, almost as if they were scared of something, and yet I couldn’t sense any other presence around. My "you’re fucked" alert then went off and half of me was killing me to fly away as fast as I could, and yet the other was screaming that if I moved a muscle I would die. That’s when I felt it, as if a veil on my senses had been lifted, a presence so powerful and intimidating that it could crush me started doing rounds around the tree I was nesting on. Was it taunting me or genuinely searching for me? I was too scared to care. After what felt like hours, an eye appeared from the entrance of my tent, directly staring at me. Need I remind you that I am not even the size of a human hand, so I don’t have the words to describe how much fear I felt when I saw the giant eyes of a being that could kill me without even trying, directly staring at me. If I had pants they would be ruined. I’m not ashamed to say it. It then looked like it stepped back, and then, a very melodic feminine voice said:

"Come out now, don’t keep me waiting~ Don’t worry, I won’t kill you today."

While I didn’t like what was implied with that second part, I still went out, for fear of what could happen if I didn’t listen…
