Our hero ignored the snarkiness of the supposedly automated system as he was magically compelled to fill in his background. He knew that making himself a chosen one wouldn't do, he needed something believable and something his powers could support.
"Ahhhhh... Fuck. Open information about 'Wonton Fields'."
~~~
Wonton Fields
An area of intense Qi Starvation. Sparsely populated with mortal villages, this region gains its namesake from its inability to sustain spiritual herb farming. Humans are unable to naturally cultivate in this environment. The strongest cultivators in this area are rejects from better areas and the clans controlling the area. While small in the comparison of the rest of Pangea, Wonton Field's surface area is larger than Earth's.
"Hmmm... when considering my age and powers, I have too much information at my disposal. I don't have a family, and I doubt that I could claim myself as some sort of savant and go with that. My actual cultivation ability no doubt would be totally eclipsed by my knowledge. I've also never seriously fought in my whole life. Ughhhh..."
Our hero stressed over a great life choice. Maybe it was the fact that he was emotionally unsound after being brought back to 15 years old in his mid-twenties that caused this distress. Maybe he was an indecisive little bitch, we may never know. Anyway... after much deliberation, our hero decided on a cover story for his sudden appearance.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"I was an orphan that showed promise in gathering information and reading, as such, I was adopted into a scholarly sect. Due to elitism coupled with my poor background and sub-par cultivating talent I was kicked out of the sect and sent into the Wonton Fields in exile."
"... Accepted"
Fang Hu immediately began coughing up several black specks out of his mouth while his entire body began to change. His fat didn't go away, nor did he gain any muscle on his tall, rather lanky body. He felt several toxins flow out of his blood, his skin cleared of grease and blemishes at a visible rate, his asthma, which he had from birth, left him, along with tar he had from most of his family smoking around him.
"Ha… haa... HA HA, haa... HAHAHAHA!"
Having energy flow into him, Hu felt better than he did ever in his last life. With a bright smile on his face, he took a stance and began pushing Qi into his fist and deflecting imaginary attacks. With fancy footwork Fang Hu avoided and parried shadow strikes like he practiced for years. Which, he supposed, he should say he did now. When he was finally finished, he noticed that he no longer had any spare Qi left in his body.
"Hah... hah... well shit, I guess I'm defenseless until my internal cultivation refills my reserves. Just like that though, I got that much strength. I wonder if I can milk the system for more shit like that. I doubt many people from Earth could beat me now. Maybe a martial arts master, or an MMA champion could. ... I need to find some people. I'm already starting to talk to myself. Bad habit."
With that, our hero set off on a journey. His destination? The closest probable source of water, a basin some 3 days away. After that? The closest village possible, of course!
