For the rest of the day, Thomas was being looked after by both mother and daughter duo, fearing that the boy would once again fall unconscious. Thankfully for all of them, nothing happened to him, instead, Thomas felt more energetic than he ever did, tiring out his poor friend. By the end of his stay, Latia was long asleep while Thomas wear a sad look on his face, mostly because he was the reason behind Latia's exhaustion.
"Don't worry dear. I'm more than sure that my little Latia had fun playing with you today."
"No, no, you misunderstood me, Aunty. I'm not sad about that, I'm sad that because of what happened to me, I tire Latia out playing all day."
Lilith smiled at him before ruffling his hair, making the boy smile in response. Not long afterward, Leif came back from their room, wearing a rather casual set of clothes.
"Ready to go home, champ?"
"Of course, sir."
"How many times did I tell you to call me by my name or even uncle brat?"
"Twenty-two times in the past two days…Leif."
"See? It's already better. Now let's get you home since I reckon your parents are dying to see you."
A second later, Leif puts his hand on Thomas's shoulder before both of them disappear. At the same time, inside Thomas's home, a magic circle bearing the Astaroth house appeared in the living room.
From it came Thomas and Leif to the amazement of the boy's father who was watching the TV. As soon as he saw his son appearing from within the magic circle, Jonathan quickly got up from the couch and hug his son, to Thomas's embarrassment.
"Dad!"
"You should have a little confidence in your son! Nothing bad happened to him, besides he just awakened his sacred gear, a tool that would help a lot, considering the nature of it."
"Thank you for looking over, Mr. Leif. My wife and I were worried that something bad happened to our son, despite knowing that your wife and daughter would watch and take care of him."
"Now I know from where Thomas did have his respectful way of talking with people. Please, just call me Leif, no need for Mr, after all our kids are friends."
Leif didn't stay for long after he dropped Thomas and after he and Jonathan talked for a few minutes he binds the father and son duo farewell before leaving in the same fashion. Once Leif left their house, Jonathan and Thomas went to the kitchen where Kate was cooking. As soon as she saw her baby, she dropped everything she was doing before hugging the life out of Thomas. Maybe this was an effect of being hugged to death, but Thomas could swear that he saw a tear falling down his mother's cheek as she was hugging him. Like any worried mother, Kate start asking Thomas what happened to him and while he didn't tell them the whole truth, mostly because Bahamut suggested that it would be too much pressure on them, Thomas just told them what he told Latia and her parents.

After he managed to get his mother to stop hugging him, Thomas went back to his room, excited to see Mars, and brag about what happened to him. When he walked into his room, Thomas couldn't believe his eyes. On his bed, reading a book, stood a young man with hazel long hair and amber eyes that compliment his skin. For some reason, the man wear a smile on his face when he saw Thomas. The boy was about to Everte Statum the man out of his window when he heard the familiar voice of his cobra friend.
"You ungrateful brat, you left for two days and you forgot your friend?"
"Mars?"
Thomas look at the man in surprise, as the man morphed back into Mars, landing on the bed. "Now, what in the seven hells happened to you? The last time I saw you were barely at the bottom of the Low Class, but now, you are almost ready to break through to the next rank. What did that devil girl do to you?"
Before Thomas could answer, his entire right arm started glowing. A second later, the same odd yet familiar-looking draconic arm appeared from within the glow, in the place where Thomas's human arm was supposed to be. When Mars saw that, he transformed back to his human form before taking a fighting stance, making Thomas take a few steps back.
"Thomas, I want you to tell me the truth. By any chance, did a being lives inside that arm of yours? A being capable of destroying the world?"
[Would you look at that? Thousands of years ago you would have faced me without a worry, but now, not only did you get weaker, but you also are scared. What happened to you Rerek? Did your friend finally banish you from that realm of yours?]
Mars or Rerek's face showed for the first time since Thomas got to know him, fear, a fear so deep that he started to tremble, but soon after the initial fear disappeared, disbelief could be seen on his face, not wanting to believe that he was somehow still on Earth after all of those years.
[You see Thomas, your friend over there, was just as little snake the last time I saw him. He and his friend were probably the only fools brave or crazy enough to challenge me to a duel, despite knowing very well that they could die. Even now after thousands of years, he still doesn't want to admit that he's nothing more than a little snake.]
"Screw you monster! No being in this damned world could defeat you and you know that! Not even all of the big shots from all of the pantheons and mythologies could defeat you together!"
"Wait for a second. You two know each other?"
[While it is true that I know who he is and vice versa, the truth is that back then I didn't take a break to talk with anyone, not even when the Big G asked me to. But I do remember all of the creatures, gods, devils, etc. that tried to stop my rampage, at least the ones that caught my attention. Don't worry Thomas, in time you will learn more about me and probably about Rerek, but for now, you don't have to worry about anything. I will be here to teach you everything you want.]
"For a price! He will ask for something in return! Don't believe this monster, he will only eat you alive!"
Hearing these two arguing with each other made Thomas wonder if his life would ever be quiet, however at the very least, he will not have a boring life, that's for sure.
