A month after that fateful meeting between Latia and the Shidous passed by before Irina alongside her mother left for the Vatican. Despite the tearful goodbye that came once she had to leave, Irina swore on God that she would not Latia win at whatever game they were playing, leaving Thomas confused about the whole thing. If that wasn't all that painful for Thomas, the first time he went to the underworld with Latia, he almost died in his sleep.
Strangely enough, nothing happened when he arrived there or even while he was playing with Latia, but as soon as closed his eyes to sleep for the night, the pains started, gradually growing worse.
At first, it start as a simple fever, but soon after that came to the pain that wracked his body as he lay on his stomach, fighting to regain control over his breathing. However, no matter how much he struggle or how many times he tried to use Anapneo, a spell made specially to clear the throat of a choking patient wasn't even working on him. Sadly nothing worked, and even when he felt the world around him going dark, the pain only increased as if his body was trying to keep him awake to suffer.
Soon a few minutes passed since the pain appeared, and Thomas could feel his thoughts slowly but surely disappearing, unable to do anything. His salvation was when Latia burst into his room finding him on the floor curled into a ball and crying out in pain. The little girl quickly shouted for her parents who came a few seconds later. As soon as she saw Thomas in pain, Lilith, Latia's mother kneeled beside him and put her hand on the boy's back. Thomas only remembered a few precious moments of calmness before the pain came back, worse than before.
At first, he thought it might drive him mad, but that thought disappeared when Latia grabbed his hand and manage to distract him. She starts telling him all of the times the two of them played, learned and even fought against each other in the last year. The happy and the sad moments both of them went through together, surprising even her parents by just how much their daughter was spending outside of her home and with a human nonetheless.
However for them that didn't matter at all, mostly because Leif, Latia's father was once a human too, before Lilith saved him, almost three hundred years ago. But that wasn't all that important for them, no, instead the two of them took a liking to the polite and cheerful little boy that their daughter had brought home to play, and because of that reason alone they would do anything to make sure that Thomas would not die tonight.

For Thomas however, the pain was akin to living in hell as he kept drifting in and out of blankness, twisting and screaming, no matter what Lilith and Latia do, it was as if they were supplying the pain. The more he scream the more Thomas felt himself grow weak as his throat ached and his voice grew hoarse with all the screaming.
The pain was worse than anything he had ever felt in his entire life. Not even when he miscalculated his own power and create an air blast after Latia taught him some of her own magic, did his body hurt like that? He didn't know how much time passed since the pain started, but at some point, he got so exhausted both physically and mentally that his body simply refused to keep him awake anymore and thus Thomas drifted into a short coma.
Rather than working up the next day, Thomas found himself in some black space, with nothing but emptiness all around him, as if the whole place was just an empty void. He felt a terrible cold seep into him before a large pair of golden eyes stared down at him.
The moment he stared back at the eyes, Thomas felt his whole body shaking, frozen in fear as the huge pair of eyes was slowly moving towards him, shaking the whole space. The closer those eyes came, the worse Thomas felt as a terrifying pressure descend upon the boy. Just as the eyes were about to come upon him, they stop short of a few meters before a deep voice echoed.
"A human? After all those years a human found their way here? "
A second later, an enormous figure appeared out of the nothingness making its presence seen by the young boy, who gasped in shock at what he was seeing. In front of him stood a black humanoid dragon of titanic proportions, bigger than anything he had seen in his life. If the size of the dragon wasn't scary enough the fact that a pair of great curved horns and most of its body was covered in spikes and scales made Thomas question if this was how a devil should have looked in the first place.
Almost as if he could read his mind, the dragon glanced down at the young boy before he spoke again.
"Devils, humans, and angels all look the same boy. What I am was forgotten in time, The Big G made sure of that thousands of years ago. My question remains, how did a young human find this place in the first place? "
Gathering every ounce of courage he could muster, Thomas look the dragon in the eyes before he answered. "This place? W-What is this pl-place?"
"Oh? You could speak. That's good, as for your question, this place is nothing, an eternal prison where the worst being that once walked on Earth had been sealed thousands of years ago. Yet somehow, you a young human managed to send his soul inside my eternal home. It makes one wonder what happened out there for someone to even remember this place?"
"I-I don…"
"Forget about my question, young human. I'm more than sure that someone as young as you wouldn't know anything about the real world. Now, what should I do with you?"
Fearing that the dragon would erase him from existence, Thomas decided to at least find out who the Titanic dragon was.
"Who are you?"
