‘Wow, these are nice bonuses. But being weakened for tree day feels dangerous. I remember now it mentioned something about physical changes. I wonder how I look now.’

I wanted to summon some water use as a mirror, but I spotted the first changes by looking at my hand. They were now much paler, and there were two sets of claws growing out of them. One set was growing out of the tips of my fingers. They were long and curved, with sharp-looking edges. Ideal for slashing. The second set was growing from spaces between my fingers. They were shorter, only around twenty centimetres long. Their tips were pointy and sharp. Ideal for stabbing. Both of these sets were made from some black metal-like substance. I distinctly felt the presence of new muscles allowing me to retract these two sets of claws independently. I retracted my stabbing claws and swang with my slashing claws at cave walls. It cut deep holes in the wall almost without any effort. It wasn’t like they were cutting. It was more like they were erasing matter they touched.

‘These are so cool. I have some means of melee attack finally.’

Next, I summoned a small puddle and looked at my reflection. It wasn’t only my hands that got paler. My whole skin was paler by few shades. Also, my eyes were now simply said weird. They were now unnaturally deep, with tiny golden sparkles of energy inside. Then I realized something. There was absolute darkness in the cave, but I could see fine.

‘Is it just my opinion, or am I even more beautiful now.’ “Hahaha”

I spotted something with my new eyes. It was behind stones blocking the cave entrance, maybe kilometer in the distance. Powerful presences in the form of radiating orbs were closing on my cave. They were moving fast. With my weakened body, there was no chance to escape.

‘What is with these stupid coincidences? They show in the worst time when I am weakened after evolution. This is bad, butt I think I have a chance in a fight.’

I opened my cave and walked towards these presences after I ordered wolves not to follow me.

Soon I spotted a group of humans in long coats decorated with symbols looking like a shining eye.

They spotted me, and one with a silver chain around his neck shouted towards me, “You, dark witch. The time of redemption has come. Holy flames will purify you of your sins. You are charged with the crime of using forbidden magic. ”

“I don’t know what you are talking about. You must have mistaken me with someone else” I tried to get of this with words.

With an insanely looking expression, the leader laughed and shouted at me, “No crimes shall hide from our Gods. Your lies will not save you, heretic. Seize that heretic she will be judged and punished in accordance with gods laws.”

My heart sunk when I heard that they would kill my wolves, but I could do nothing now. I could only wait for my revenge.
