The elf looked at me intensely and spoke, "After you annihilated their crusaders and soldier, they probably realized that you are stronger than what they thought. We must hurry our plans and attack them sooner than we planned before." then he took a break to breathe out before continuing, "Or they will probably call for even more reinforcements."
There was something I didn't understand "What difference will it make if we capture a city sooner? Wouldn't they simply attack and take it back? Wouldnt it be safer just to leave somewhere where I can just grow stronger without any hindrances before taking over a city?"
His cold blue eyes focused on me, and his tone changed to that of a teacher explaining something to his students "No, once we take over a city church wouldn't be ably to send an army on us easily. You see, a church is closely affiliated with the Holy Empire of Lichtenberg. Them sending a soldier to capture a city would be seen as a Lichtenberg capturing this city so it wouldn't be tolerated by two other countries bordering this city."
'In the worst-case scenario, I will just escape and leave this city behind me.'
"Alright, let's attack as soon as possible. That paladin was weak anyways when I fought against him."
"Do not underestimate a paladin. He was probably significantly holding back to not hurt civilians around him and expect hard battle as a portion of adventurers will join a fight on the enemies side together with city guards and a personal army of city lord. But we will also get reinforcement in the form of undead we kept stockpiling for years under the city. Prepare yourself. We will attack tomorrow as they will not be expecting such a bold move from us."
"Huh" came out of me as I wasn't expecting that we would attack so soon, but before I had a chance to say anything, the elf just walked away.
I frowned and clenched my fists in anger, 'What is he thinking to just leave? Such a terrible behaviour'.
Ten minutes passed and I was still dumbfounded about that whole situation. I was thinking about what to spend my CE on, as there was a bad time to evolve. At first, I was browsing through the lower tier options as they were much cheaper. After a while, I got an idea about the first thing I wanted.
'This will be super useful if it is what I think it is. No, idea why I am unlocking it only now.'

You learned a new skill [Out of Body Casting I]
Basic information about my new skill flooded into my mind, and I grinned that it was exactly what I thought it was. To test it, I cast simple utility magic to create a small amount of water. Mana started to surge through me, but this time it left my body, and a small amount of water started to pour out of the air a quarter a meter away from me.
"This is really nice. I can now form magic on places I am not directly touching. It will be cool to create a sphere of plasma, not in my hands but simply in the air next to me."
Next, I opened the highest tier of a shop to check it.

'What is even a point of a multicast skill? I can do it already without that... Maybe it would be easier or in greater quantity? That instant level for magic looks good, but it would be smarter to keep it for a future where it will be harder to level up my magic. [Basic Elemental Magic Schools Pack] would probably unlock something useful, so I will buy it. '

I clenched my fist as a headache caused by a flood of new spells being uploaded into my memory hit me suddenly. 'Yes, new elements. Sadly most of these spells are useless for me. Still, the more elements I combine into one spell, the stronger buffs from my class skill it will obtain. Still, why do I think that I overpaid for something that is basically a beginner-level magic'
The last thing that I wanted to buy was [Advanced Armor Pack] as I wanted to know how it works, and also some extra protection wouldn't be a bad thing. 'I wonder if it will just appear out of thin air.'
Not wanting to wait any more, I bought it, and full of expectation I was sitting on the bed waiting and waiting. No announcement arrived, nor did any armour appear in front of me. 'Was I scammed by a system?'. Full of frustration, I got an idea to look into my [Dymensional Storage]. I instinctively felt that there was really some armour stored inside. I willed it outside and it appeared directly on me. Its base was made out of black soft fabric cut in the shape of a dress with the front bottom half of a skirt missing. The chest part of the armour was a black metallic breastplate closely fitting my figure. The only decorations were spikes on pauldrons and engraving glowing in a dim purple glow. My arms were mostly unprotected except for spiked plates protecting my wrists and shoulders. My legs were wholly covered in plates of metal. I took a few steps, and surprisingly it was light, almost as I had no armour. Surprisingly there was no helmet.
'This looks good. Now let's analyze it.'
