What they see is a giant cavern with a bustling marketplace. They are seeing foods they have never seen before. Shops all around, merchants peddling goods. there up ahead the road past the square, an inn is seen. There's a large billboard with papers all across it l, and a crowd surrounding it to boot.

As they make their way over to the board they try and move through the crowd to the board.

"where are the ones that let you into the portal?" Said belle.

The people immediately around them started laughing.

A goblin with a patch over his eye and a beard spoke up. "You guys are pretty new around here, right? You can't just Waltz into the portal. you got to join a guild and work in the mine. Now there are some easy monsters down in the mine, you have got to get your feet wet before jumping in the ocean."

Guntar steps up and greets the goblin. "Scer it's nice to see you again old friend. "

"by the gods guntar it's been a while what brings you to the board? Aren't you usually are hitting the portal??" Said the goblin scratching his patchy beard curiously.

"Aye, I've brought along the wee denies I've told you about."

Scer looks at Zack and Belle for a moment and then it clicks. "Oye it's the cheeky little witch and the welpling Knight hahahaha..!!!"

Belle glares at the little goblin and Zack is too polite to say anything.

Guntar asks Scer "what are you up to anyway??"

"Well, I've been conducting a guide type of business ,we've been getting a lot of new blood as of late. A new generation of adventures are flooding in, getting themselves killed."

He hands Zack and Belle vouchers for his shop the dragons scale armory.

"This will get ya what you need equipment-wise to get started in the mine stop by and see me later. I mean it any friends of Guntar's are friends of mine."

He walks away from the crowd and disappears. Guntar pulls a piece of paper down the quest board. It reads "We require a three-man team to escort and clear wing 7 of the mine. rock geckos have shown up and are eating the ore and attacking the mine workers."

"I think this is a good place to start." Guntar said rolling up the quest sheet and putting it in his pocket

Zack agrees and said "we should go get our gear that Scer guy was nice enough to give us these vouchers."

They make their way through the main marketplace. all around them are carts filled with foods, weapons, jewelry, and everything you could think of was being sold here.

For Zack and Belle, this was kinda hard to take in all at once.

Guntar picking up on this says "Let's go get something to eat on me!"

The two hold their stomachs and happily comply.

They head over to the inn/tavern. It has a big sign that said " scorched earth inn. They walk in and head to the bar counter and are met by the tavern owner. A very tall Dragon borne man. Emerald green skin. With frills on the side of his head. He smiles with a toothy grin and welcomes them into his place.

"What can I get for your today, house special is a rock worm casserole!!"

Guntar sais "sounds great we will take three."

They eat while asking questions and general directions. After a nice meal and good conversation, they head to the Scers shop.

As they approach the door there's this hissing noise and Zack jumps in front of Belle as a small explosion blows through the door and windows of Scers shop!!

After they collect themselves they run in and find Scer sitting on the ground. Rubbing the back of his head black dust all over his face he cleans his goggles.

He looks up and sees the group and smiles.

"Sorry about that hope I didn't scare you I've been working on something new. It will make bows obsolete!! Anyway, enough of that you came to get that equipment right!!??"

He picks up two backpacks with pick axes and shovels. He also gives them some light armor it's a little beat up. He sees the sword Zack is wearing on his belt.

"That looks a little beat up want me to sharpen it for ya or you can trade it with a little coin for an upgrade??"

Zack tightly grips the hilt and looks at it and looks to Scer in an unusually serious manner

"No thanks I was dropped off at the orphanage with nothing but this sword and a soiled pamper. I would appreciate a sharpening."

Scer looks to him "I understand I'll take good care of it try on the new gear and I'll sharpen this."

He brings back the sword freshly sharpened.

Scer hands it back and said "I fixed the sheathe as well take care of it lad. I recommend you each join a guild there are four they cover most skill sets. For you belle, I recommend Clair's Lair of Magic. for you Zack, I recommend Father jacks house divine teaching.

Guntar agrees " I was just about to suggest the same thing. the job date is three days from now so you should have time to settle in and maybe learn a few things."

They leave Scers shop with their new equipment and head toward their guild halls.
