Everyone comes out of their tent and that ball of light is uncomfortably close. Gorgyle is sprinting over to the main alarm bell.

He gives it four big rings.

"I'm sure they are aware now where's Kyra.

He sprints over to her tackling her behind a wall. The light connects an explosion that can be heard throughout the kingdom.

The dust starts to settle there is an intense ringing in everyone's ears. Gorgyle is trying to talk to Kyra to get her to focus but there's blood coming out of her ears. He pours some healing potion into his hands and has her sip it out of his hands. He then looks around and in the crater is Zack standing there shield up towards the sky where the blast comes from. His feet planted with belle clinging onto his back. She seems to screaming Gorgyle can't hear though. Zack is still just standing there. Covered in sut and dirt.

Zack: Belle are you alright?

Belle: yes I'm okay what about you?

Zack: don't worry about me check on the others I'm going to the bridge.

Zack looks to the gargoyle not saying anything and bolts towards it.

Gorgyle runs over to one of the cannons pushing on the side aiming it down the bridge.

Djin pushes some rubble off of himself and looks around. There is rubble everywhere dust and smoke making it hard to focus. He sees a pair of legs under a pillar that fell over.

Djin: EVERYONE WHO CAN MOVE, help me move this pillar there's someone trapped.

Belle and Kyra run over and start to help lift the pillar. They clear rubble from the body.

Belle screams " NO IT CANT BE.

Kyra covers her mouth too afraid to even speak.

Gorgyle: who is it who is it??

Zack: where's guntar he could heal them.

He looks to Belle who is crying profusely clutching her chest and kneeling her head on the ground.

Zack wants to run over but there's no time. He hears footsteps approaching and not just one or two.

He looks into the fog down the bridge. He sees what looks to be walls moving closer like someone is carrying them. Suddenly there's a wisp of air. His cheek is stinging he looks to the ground behind him there's an arrow in the ground.

His blood starts to boil he doesn't know if guntar is dead or alive, Belle is crying he starts to breathe heavily he grips his sword, and picks up a shield from the rubble next to him.

He starts to bang his sword against it as he stands in front of the gate of the bridge. Gorgyle stands up and walks over next to him pulling out his two daggers.

"You parry I'll tear them apart." He says.

"No one gets past us."

Djin: Kyra, Belle look at me I know it's hard right now but we need to go. We will provide long-range support. Kyra climbs up there. Belle you with me go now.

They wipe their tears and nod. They start to get into position.

Zack lets out a roar of pure anger, he charges down the bridge. He plunges his blade straight thru the poorly made shield wall. He feels it go thru and connect with something on the other side. The sound of blood splashing can be heard. Followed by shrill shrieks and a tongue he doesn't understand. A goblin whips around the corner. It has a short sword aimed at Zack's side as it's hurling toward him. Zack tries to pull his sword out but it's stuck.

Gorgyle runs pinning the goblin in the chest with his daggers into the shield.

He then jumps back, as Zack swings his sword thru the shield slicing the goblin and two orcs behind the shield. They stand up and look further ahead and 4 more of these shields can be seen.

As they approach more wisps of air are heard. A volley of arrows comes careening down toward them.

"SHEILD!"

A yellow light appears above their heads in the shape of a shield. The arrows bounce off it.

Belle: we end this for guntar.

Zack realizes his fears were true guntar is dead. This is now a mission to avenge their friend not to save them.

He screams once more throwing his sword into the next wall shield. Running right behind it and essentially tackling it while griping the now-stuck again sword. Toppling it over he pulls the sword up and starts to stab thru it until it does not move.

Gorgyle: look out Zack behind you!

He can't hear him over the ringing of his ears and the clenching of his teeth. Zack is seen flying where he was is a hobgoblin like never seen before holding a great club and a smirk.

Gorgyle runs over to Zack "Are you alright can you stand?

Zack: back me up and get me a clean shot.

Zack runs towards the giant goblin. The creature swings down two-handed straight for Zack's head who parry the blowing knocking creatures swing left. The spikes on the club stick on the ground.

Gorgyle comes zipping in front to the right. Stabbing his daggers in the goblin's side while spinning around the monster and landing behind it. The goblin falls to one knee while clutching its side. Zack stomps in front leaning back sword above his head with a tight grip. With malice in his eyes, he swings down cleaving off its head. It starts to roll down the bridge hitting one of the shields up ahead.

Kyra is firing arrows from back up top as there move forward. Picking off the goblins that sneak around trying to catch Zack and Gorgyle off guard.

Kyra: Belle there's a hoard coming up so you have anything crowd control I don't have enough arrows.

Belle: yes one moment.

"Ignite the spark in my hand, let the oxygen all around combust, for me, the flame will light it must. Hurl it at my foes and turn them to dust hyah!

Above Belle's hand what looks to be a small sun is forming she throws it up in the air. It zooms to above the bridge. It then breaks apart into several small beams that shoot down into the crowd.

Gorgyle: good belles joined the fray let's hang back for a second and catch our breath there's too many.

Zack just keeps walking not even acknowledging what Gorgyle said.

Gorgyle: Zack come on I know your angry but he wouldn't want you to die.

Zack whips his head around looking at Gorgyle with a look he didn't even know Zack could wear. He didn't say a word just stared. He then continues walking. He pulls one of his javelins from his back and hurls it thru the next shield wall. From behind it a group of ten goblins come sprinting out. They all jump toward Zack. He slices through two. However one grabs his arm making him stumble. The next one grabs his other arm, Then his legs. Even more, goblins come out from behind the wall.

Gorgyle is sprinting towards them he starts to peel off the goblins. Stabbing punching whatever works. Zack is still walking while this assault is happening to him. Kyra is seeing this afraid to shoot. She hops down and draws her katana.

Djin: wait Kyra do not go down there you will only make things worse he can't be reached look.

Zack pulls one goblin over his shoulder slamming it on the ground and stomping on it. He pulls off another one and uses it as a weapon bashing it into other goblins. Gorgyle is still pulling off goblins and stabbing them.

They're so focused on Zack that they aren't paying him any mind. A couple tries to flee and are hit with kyras arrows.

Kyra: they are retreating. From behind them, they hear armor clanking. Another platoon has made it up and is heading down the bridge to back them up.

Soldier: djin sir we are here to assist you sir let us take it from here.

About ten men come running down the bridge.

Kyra: wait there not retreating. The orcs are switching places.

Five giant orcs come up toward Zack. The men have caught up and are holding their own. One of the orcs hits Zack in his side with a hammer. He falls to his knees he coughs up some blood. He then tries to get back on his feet but is kicked in his face and starts to fall backward. He sticks his sword to the ground to

Catch himself.

A half-orc jumps in front of Zack catching the hammer with his hand.

Grimm let: oy clean your self up and catch ya breathe grimly got this one.

He pushes the hammer back the orc readies another swing. Grimmley meets its head punching the head of the hammer shattering it. The punch going through it connects with the orc's face. He punches his hands together and they start to spark blue.

Grimsley: alright boys let's bash some frickin skulls!!

Zack stands holding his side. He feels about two of his ribs are broken. Gargoyle comes up next to him pulling out a potion.

Gorgyle: take this quickly they need our help.

Zack: thanks I'm sorry I lost it there for a minute.

Gorgyle: yeah you kinda went nuts next time hear me out alright?

Zack: you got it, buddy.

The two start walking toward the battle ahead.

The party makes it to the base of the bridge as they make it to the ground they see a wagon, beside it is a hobgoblin in full armor and three goblins.

Zack: so he is in charge.

Gorgyle: look there are other goblins loading stuff into that wagon, there coming from that cave there.

Grimsley: what cave there's no cave here.

Zack: they must have blown it open.

Hobgoblin: so the brigade has finally arrived, well I guess it's finally my turn to play.

He pulls a sword from his back and takes a stance.

A hooded figure steps outside the cave and looks at them.

Hooded figure: so glad you could make it only you're a little too late I'm almost done so say goodbye to your precious little barrier it won't stand for too much longer.

Ginoae holds them off for me, would you?

Hobgoblin- ginoae: yes my master.

He grins and lets out a war cry and his goblin soldiers start to charge.

Gargoyle: great more of them.
