"What happened to you, Zack?"

"Long story fire breathing draconian beast thought he could beat me, he did not."

Kyra comes over with some bandage covering his burned exposed shoulder.

"You really should be more careful Zack you seem to get hurt a lot".

"Better me than Belle... or you guys."

"She's a lucky gal."

Gorgyles brooding off to the side.

"You look like you got a bit roughed up yourself?"

"Yeah, I guess, that guy a fool belle "doing the right thing" Where does he get that optimism from."

"Zacks always been like that. It's irritating at times sure but he means what he says it's hard to find that these days."

"So that's why you like him huh?

"Yeah, I guess so." "HEY, WHAT DO YOU MEAN LIKE HIM!!"

"Hahaha, your so transparent anyways looks like everyone's ready to go now.

They start their climb down the giant potted tree. As they look around they see next to the giant's bed there's a hole in the wall, to our perspective it would be the size of a mouse hole.

They get to the floor and start to head over there walking by the sleeping giant. The giant rolls over, his hand falling to the ground nearly crushing the group. With a thunderous boom, they all go about 15 feet in the air and fall on their rumps. They hurry into the hole in the wall.

It's dark they walk along holding their hands on the damp wall. As they keep walking aimlessly they start to feel lightheaded. Guntar starts to cough. Belle falls to the ground soon after.

"Belle! Hugh Hugh, are you okay?"

Zack then falls to the ground and one by one they all fall unconscious.

"Ugh, my head is killing me where am I?"

"Klerk shin iki retinitis"

"What the hell was that." Zack opens his eyes and looks around. He is in a large makeshift tent. He is tied to a rigid chair. Sitting across from him is a hobgoblin with a helmet on, feathers. He leans in towards Zack staring intensely.

"How you escape big man?? You strong??"

"I wouldn't say I'm..."

Zack is interrupted by Gorgyle.

"Yes friend, Zack here is as strong as they come!! There's no stronger he fought off the giant so we could escape so I would let him go before he gets angry!!"

Zack shoots daggers at gorgyle not liking the deception.

"See look I spoke out of turn he is already getting angry hurry you must release us.

The hobgoblin looks at Zack and stands up cutting his rope.

" I want to see angry you fight champion or friends die."

"What why I didn't even say.."

Zack is interrupted again by Gorgyle kicking him in the shin.

"Shut up if you want Belle out of here alive do what you do best defend."

"We are gonna have words after this."

As they leave the tent escorted by a bunch of goblins carrying spears. They look around and the cavern is huge they seemingly built a village here. The symbols on the side of the tent poorly stitched in look familiar.

They are led into a pit that's been dug out with spikes that point from the outside toward the center. The pit is about thirty feet in diameter, and 15 feet deep. Zack is brought into it and given a war hammer. His sword missing in action.

"Champion come to the pit!!" Shouts the crowd.

A giant hobgoblin even bigger than the chief starts sprinting towards the pit he leaps over the group into the pit crashing in front of Zack he stands up looming two feet over him drooling profusely.

Drumming starts and all the goblins surround the pit screaming and shrieking. The champion is carrying a morning star he is dragging behind him. The brute lifts his morning star and swings it at Zack's head. He barely ducks in time it sticks into the wall. Zack swings the hammer as hard as he can. He connects, and the hammer hits the champion right in the side of his face.

He looks at Zack and smiles. He rips the morning star out of the wall and smacks Zack in the process.

"This is insane, if I make it out of this Gorgyle is apologizing for sure."

The champion goes for an overhead swing. Zack parries the blow, swinging his hammer and bringing both weapons to the floor. The creature then kicks him in the chest. Sending him hurling the ground. Trying to catch his breath he is hit in the back with the morning star.

" agh!"

"Zack get up kick his ass!!" Screamed belle.

Zacks's eyes open wide he grabs the hammer, and the champion goes for another swing. Zack jumps turning while swinging and connecting with the goblins side. He is sent into the wall with intense force. The goblin gets up holding his side with one hand and pounds his chest with the other. He charges at Zack. He sidesteps and swings the hammer again hitting the back of its leg. He uses the hilt hitting the back of the neck knocking the creature out cold.

He drops the hammer and looks to the chief.

" I bested your champion now me and my friends will be leaving."

"No you must finish him or the battle is not done why do you not do it?"

"He fought well and should fight another day to protect your people I have nothing against him." I will not end him for such petty reasons."

The goblins start cheering and hooting. The chief smiles and sits down waving his hands at his guards. They swiftly let the group go. Zack climbs out of the pit and is greeted by Belle and Kyra who pull him up.

"Dude that was awesome you put on a show" Thanks, Kyra.

"Such a show off as always. You did well and you seem to have won the hearts of the locals."

"Thanks for cheering me on Belle you always give me strength." He said with a warm smile.

"I'll say you won a few hearts lad look at those ladies over there."

There's a group

Of hobgoblin women blushing and waving at Zack.

He looks away swiftly.

"Hehe, anyways we should get out of here."

"Yeah, I suppose we should leave before that giant wakes up."

The chief approaches the group.

"Zack you are the new champion. Your short sad friend was right you are strong. We ask Zack for help to get past big man.

"Zack looks around and all the villagers are surrounding the group eagerly awaiting a response."

"There's so many of you there's no way we will go by undetected."

"Why don't we go scout and see if there's something we can use to make this work." Said gargoyle.

Zack looks at him astonished. Gargoyle seemingly wants to help.

"What's come over you, look like you saw a ghost."

"It's just what you said caught me off guard."

"I'm selfish, not heartless, if we say no we will most likely die." They look to the chief who nods in confirmation.

"Fair enough, chief we are gonna scout ahead the rest of you guys wait here and rest."

Kyra steps up "If anyone needs some rest it's you, big guy. Let me and Gargoyle handle this one. Stealths not really your thing."

"Well if you don't mind I would appreciate it. You're becoming a valuable member of our little group thank you."

"Thanks, Zack she bows formally and ushers gargoyle to head out."
