Ryan slowly walked up to the town’s gates as his gaze was on his map. He found out that the red dot on his map was a town. The red dot disappeared, and the name of the town was revealed.
Welcome to the town of Guile. This town is home to a renown noble family that gained their title by serving the Queen and saving her life in a time of crises. This town is well known for produce.
“Oh, neat. That’s good to have a Map that tells me what the town is good for.” Ryan said to himself until a deep gravelly voice called out to him.
“Halt! Who goes there!?
Ryan looked up to see a guard looking dead at him with his hand held out.
“I’m just a traveler looking for a place to rest for a little bit.” Ryan answered the guard. The guard furrowed his brow at Ryan.
“Traveler or not, you need a better reason than that to enter this town.”
“You mean, you don’t let any visitors come into the town? How do you stay functional? Who buys your produce to help the town?”
The guard cocked an eyebrow at Ryan.
“How do you know that the town is known for its produce?” The guard asked Ryan, but Ryan came back with an answer quickly.
“Because I can see the produce booths from here.” Ryan gestured behind the guard. The guard didn’t look back.
“You got a mouth on you.”
“And you got a stick up your ass. Can I please enter the town and get some food and rest?”
The other guard stiffed a laugh at the other. The guard snapped his head at the other guard.
“It is true…” The other guard said. The guard angerly waved Ryan through.
“Go before I change my mind!”
Ryan didn’t waste any time and entered the town.
Stolen story; please report.
Ryan looked around him as he took in the scenery. The town wasn’t small. It was about the size of a small city from his world. Ryan couldn’t help the smell of fresh produce and grilling meat in the market. Ryan couldn’t help but smile at the tempting smells. He started walking down the cobblestone streets. Ryan accidentally ran into someone.
“Oh, sorry about that.” Ryan apologized.
“And you should be.” The mousy voice said. She turned around and faced Ryan. “You should be watching where you are walking! I am a noble and you should be bowing before me!” She pointed to the ground expecting Ryan to obey.
This girl was cute, but her attitude just turned Ryan off. Ryan groaned in frustration. He always hated girls that thought they were better than others. She had the typical noble clothing, but she didn’t wear a dress. Her outfit was loose from the waist down but tight on her torso. It didn’t help much for her curves because she didn’t have any assets with looking. Her tight shirt barely showed her chest, and Ryan could think that she just wore that to show off what little mounds she has. She wasn’t human though well maybe half human. Ryan’s guess was that she was half-human and half-beastkin. Maybe she was half-mouse or rat. Ryan didn’t really care at the time.
“No thank you. I rather not get my armor dirty.” Ryan replied to her.
The mousy girl scrunched up her nose and stomped her foot.
“I will not allow such disobedience! You will bow down to me and give me the respect I deserve!”
Ryan rolled his eyes at the girl.
“I will not do such thing. I’m not from around here and I don’t need to. I’m not going to bend a knee to a spoiled bitch of a princess like you.”
She gasped. She’s never heard such a thing before. She almost took Ryan’s words as a compliment because he called her a “princess” but then realized what he said earlier.
“I am Freya, daughter of Lord Barret and I order you to bow before me!”
Ryan walked past her and ignored her order.
“Whatever, princess.” Ryan said mockingly.
“Stop! I am arresting you! I’m going to take you to my father, and he’ll have you thrown into the dungeon!” Freya yelled at Ryan.
Ryan flipped her off and continued to walk away from her. Before he knew it, he was tackled to the ground and manhandled by the street guards. Freya walked up to Ryan and slapped him.
“Serves you right, peasant! Now, you’re coming with me to see my father. I know he’s going to punish you well since you disobeyed me!”
Freya lifted her head high and cackled to herself like some cheesy anime villain. Ryan cringed at her cackle. It was almost as bad as nails on a chalkboard. Ryan looked over at one of the guards.
“Can you please shut her up? That laugh is terrible, and my ears feel like they are going to bleed soon.”
The guards secretly agreed with Ryan until Freya stopped cackling and started to stomp her foot to the ground.
“Take him to my father, NOW!” Freya ordered loudly as the guards started to march Ryan towards the lord’s castle at the top of the hill. Freya was following behind with a cheeky smile. She then spoke loudly.
“This is the treatment you will get if any of you dare to defy me!”
Ryan just shook his head as he was carried to the lord’s castle with Freya following with her head held up high showing her entitlement.
