Caelan thought he had made a huge mistake. First, he was not omnipotent. Even with a cheat-like mechanism like the lord's eye, he could not command multiple places at the same time. Second, he underestimated the mystery and power of the Eternal Continent and mistakenly believed that with just six Gyrus Demons, he could be invincible in the border region of the Eternal Continent.
The truth had taught him a lesson: the dwarf merchant group that had appeared out of nowhere, and the dwarf warrior named Edgar inside were much more powerful than the Gyrus Demons. Although the battle with him was extremely brief, Caelan was certain of this. Apart from Edgar, the other members of the dwarf merchant group were not to be underestimated.
If they wanted to retake the Iron Mine, they would probably not be able to do so with the current army of demons, which was almost entirely composed of Native Demons. Although the number of Native Demons was more than ten times that of the enemy, in the face of an absolute power gap, there was no point in having a large number.
Suddenly, a crazy plan flashed through Caelan's mind, to make a large number of Native Demons devour each other, thus giving birth to a super Native Demon.
His eyes became blazing and crazy as if enveloped in a blazing Dark Abyss. Caelan waved his hand sharply and shouted, “Two hundred Native Demons step forward!”
The two hundred Native Demons slowly walked out of the queue, their eyes full of confusion.
Caelan's gaze was fixed on them, and his voice was cold and ruthless, as cold as ice.
“Start killing and devouring each other!”
Instantly, the area fell into chaos. The Native Demons roared and snarled, charging at each other. Their sharp claws were as sharp as blades, and their teeth were as sharp as saw teeth. A bloody battle ensued.
The bodies of the Native Demons fell one after the other, and the blood-stained the ground red. The Native Demons were not willing to be restrained in the first place, and now their instincts were completely unleashed. They attacked each other like crazy as if they had fallen into endless madness. Some Native Demons were torn to pieces, while others were disemboweled. The scene was terrifying, like hell on earth.
Outside the fighting circle, more Native Demons gathered around, their eyes flashing with excitement and longing. They seemed to want to join in the frantic battle as well, but without Caelan's approval, they could only watch on with bated breath. They fidgeted restlessly as if they could break free at any moment and join the fight.
As the Native Demons fought amongst themselves, Caelan noticed that only the initial devouring could increase attribute values and that the subsequent devouring only served to restore strength and condition. The remaining ten or so Native Demons in the fighting circle were only slightly stronger than the initial ones, and this increase in strength was not worth the loss of so many Native Demons.
A deep sense of disappointment welled up in Caelan's heart. It had been a futile exercise!
After verifying that this measure was not very effective, Caelan gave up on this inhumane idea with no choice. He waved his hand, signaling the remaining Native Demons to stop fighting.
This method did not work, and Caelan was also unable to hatch troops of a higher level than the Gyrus Demon.
Now, Caelan desperately needed more powerful combat capabilities, as well as a role that could independently command the army of demons. All kinds of conditions pointed to the Race Hero without a doubt!
It was time to build an Abyss Sinful Shrine!
Caelan strode with determination to an open space. This open space was filled with a mysterious atmosphere, and the ground faintly radiated a dark light. He stood still, his gaze slowly scanning the surroundings. This was where he intended to build the Abyss Sinful Shrine.
[Abyss Sinful Shrine, the unique basic building, costs 10,000 resource points and 50kg of Dark Iron]
[Current Resource Points: 17,430 points]
[Current Dark Iron: 80kg]
“Confirm construction of the Abyss Sinful Shrine!”
Caelan's voice was firm and powerful, echoing through the air.

A mysterious force was suddenly awakened above the empty lot. The ground shook as if in the hands of an invisible giant, and fine dust fell. Thick black stone pillars rose slowly from the ground, their surfaces carved with various hideous demon patterns and mysterious runes. The runes seemed to have a life of their own, shining with eerie light as they constantly flowed and changed. As the pillars rose from the ground, they made a dull roaring sound.
Large black bricks flew from all directions as if summoned by magic. Each of these bricks exuded a deep, dark aura and their edges were sharp as knives. They quickly came together and fit together seamlessly. As the bricks were joined, a black light flashed for an instant, as if some kind of mysterious fusion was taking place.
A huge dome began to take shape. The dome was made up of countless black metal sheets, which were drawn into the air by mysterious forces, one after the other, and then combined together with precision. The metal sheets collided with each other, making a crisp sound. The dome was carved with complex patterns, including fanged demons, burning flames, and distorted magic symbols. Black smoke rose from all corners and lingered around the shrine.
[Abyss Sinful Shrine Lv.1 completed]
...
Caelan stood silently in front of himself, gazing at the Abyss Sinful Shrine that had just been built. A hint of astonishment could be seen in his eyes.
“What can I say...”
“Although now I know that the nature of the Dark Abyss is utter chaos.”
His gaze slowly swept over the majestic and mysterious appearance of the Abyss Sinful Shrine, the black stone pillars, the runes that shimmered with a dark light, and the bricks and stones that exuded a deep, dark aura.
“But I still didn't expect that recruiting heroes from the Dark Abyss would also be completely random!"
His tone carried a hint of helplessness and surprise. He had originally hoped to recruit a specific type of hero according to his own wishes, but the reality was very different from what he had imagined. Unlike other lords who could clearly see the attributes of the heroes they recruited, the Abyss Sinful Shrine building gave Caelan only one option:
[Draw the first race hero]
[Cost of first draw: Dark Crystal ×1, Demon's Blood ×1, 2000kg Flesh]
2000kg Flesh is easy for Caelan. Dark Crystal and Demon's Blood can only be exchanged at the Arcane Treasure Exchange and are expensive. Although Caelan still has more than 7000 resource points, he still feels a pang of pain when he sees the exchange price.
[Resource points: -2000, 5430 remaining]
[You have exchanged: Dark Crystal ×1]
[Resource points: -1000, 4430 remaining]
[You have exchanged: Demon's Blood ×1]
After spending a large amount of resources to exchange for these two items, Caelan clicked the option to draw a hero, and a new prompt popped up.
[Are you sure you want to spend: Dark Crystal ×1, Demon's Blood ×1, 2000kg Flesh to draw a race hero?]
Caelan's gaze fixed on the words showing the probability of drawing a hero, and a strong shock welled up in his heart.
[Common 55%, Uncommon 35%, Rare 7%, Epic 2.5%,...]
When Caelan's gaze finally landed on “Legendary 0.5%,” his eyes widened slightly, and surprise spread across his face in an instant. He couldn't believe that there was a probability of drawing a legendary-Quality hero from the level 1 Abyss Sinful Shrine, even though the probability was a pitiful 0.5%.
“Sure!“
Although Caelan had a slight worry in his heart about this randomness, after experiencing many challenges in this abyss, he had gradually adapted to the environment here. At that moment, he decided to place his trust in the Dark Abyss and believe in this special world full of mystery and the unknown.
”As long as the hero's quality is Uncommon!”Caelan prayed silently.
Soon, the Abyss Sinful Shrine in front of him began to stir. A scarlet magic circle that looked extremely evil and seemed to be able to desecrate all beautiful life appeared quietly in front of Caelan.
This magic circle started out as a tiny black dot, but it spread rapidly at an alarming rate, like a greedy blood-thirsty mouth, reaching out for the flesh prepared for this summoning.
Within the scarlet magic circle, the flesh, which had long since lost its life force, began to change in a strange way. As if awakened by some mysterious force, it regained its vitality and slowly wriggled.
