Chapter 8: Memories and Recollection

Chapter 8: Memories and Recollection

I don’t have fond memories of summer school. Because I didn’t really care about tactics of wars or fashion, I was always an outsider in the class.

But my sister, Dila, was always there for me. Except after one day, when she was taken to another school because she was chosen to become the next empress. On that particular day, I wasn’t in a bright mood, to begin with. So when I heard that Dila was no longer with me, I was enraged. I transformed into a dragon and burned down the school and the village of the teachers in a fit of rage.

When I cooled down, I was embarrassed by how much destruction I did. So to distract myself I fled into another world and by chance met Melo.

Yes, Melo. A person with short brown hair and brown eyes, with black sweat pants and a plain black t-shirt. A person that didn’t question too much of my motives and just went with me wherever I wanted to.

I am sorry about not telling Melo that before I met him I fought Evil Rabiters so that the poison would reverse my transformation and I would completely be back as a full human. He probably is worrying about me right now.

So why do I remember all this? I feel like this has something to do with me.

And then, the purple Dragon’s Mark appeared in front of me. It was blinking light. The light slowly got brighter with each blink and then when it was awfully bright, I woke up.

When I woke up, I felt new body parts on my body. I was in disbelief when I touched my head and could feel horns.

Did the poison not work? Or is this simply my new state?

My thinking got interrupted by realizing that an unknown man sat next to me.

I stood up and braced myself for a fight.

“Woah, there! I have nothing against you. But we need to make this quick. Your friend is in danger, he went to the Mountains of Ice. Elany is on the way there, but I’m not sure if she has enough strength to get back there with that boy.”

I was already out of the wooden hut by the time he finished that sentence. Strangely, my eyesight got better and there are horns. Horns! But I have to worry about that later. I have no time to lose.
