The next day when I woke up I researched on my phone where the international summer school is.
Various results in the search engine LuckLuckGo said, that there were plans to build a summer school, but the summer school never came into existence.
Has Emiko lied to me?
This question ringed all day long in my head.
I have to ask her.
So, hours after midnight, I sneaked outside and went to that bridge. I was a bit earlier than the last time here, so I figured I could move a bit away and see from which direction she comes from.
The darkness around this place was quite eerie. I felt more lonely than when I was with her.
Out of the blue, the street lamp near the bridge turned on. However, alongside the street lamp looked… cartoonish.
Because I couldn’t believe my eyes, I tried to rub them but that didn’t make me wake up, as I wasn’t sleeping.
Upon further inspection, you could also see something crawling out of the light of the street lamp. No, it’s as if something was crawling out of it.
A few moments later a thing, a creature was noticeable. Some sort of bean-shaped blackness.
And then it dropped to the ground. As if a bucket of paint just dropped down.
Slowly, it rise up and formed a creature. It slowly shaped into a human being.
It’s Emiko?!
The street lamp turned off. I used that moment to slowly leave and went to the path of the normal route. From there, I slowly approached the bridge.
“Hey.”
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
“Hey, Emiko.”
“Are you troubled with something, Melo?”
“No. Yes. Maybe?”
I was confused. She acted as if everything was normal. I figured I needed to ask her.
“Do you want to go to your summer school with me?”
“Sure!”
A bright smile formed on her face. I didn’t know that going to her summer school was going to make her this happy. Then again, is she abducting me? Or where is she leading me?
She grabbed me by the hand and lead me to the street lamp she came from. She tried to climb it up, slowly.
“Follow me.”
I was a bit astounded by her ability to climb up a street lamp.
As soon as she touched the street lamp, the street lamp looked cartoonish again and the light turned on.
At the same moment, as I tried climbing it up, it felt like the warmth of the light was gone. The sudden decrease in temperature made me shiver a bit. But I took the courage to climb up further.
“Is it cold?”
“Yeah. But with you, it’s not so bad.”
She returned another smile.
Just as she touched the street lamp, her shape began to deform into this black thing again. And then slowly, she was slurped up into the street lamp.
Just as I touched the street lamp, I felt like as if my whole view expanded. For a second I could see nearly everything around me in a circle radius, seeing bushes, birds, the river, the small stream, the bridge, and the street lamp.
Then there was nothingness. It was frightening. After what felt like an eternity, I came to my senses.
I dropped out like a slime from the street lamp and hit the ground. Slowly, my view shifted upwards, and then it stopped. I looked at my hands and they looked cartoonish. Then I looked to the left and saw Emiko. She looked like a young school girl, but cartoonish. Big blue eyes, super long yellow hair, super white skin with a sailor’s uniform and a blue skirt along with black shoes and long, black socks. It was the first time I looked at her completely.
"You look even more beautiful."
“Could you stop teasing me?! This many times makes me feel embarrassed.”
“Neeeeeever!”
She smiled as she turned around, moving her hands high in the air and exclaimed:
“Welcome to my world, Melo.”
