"So you say your boss was corrupted by negative energy?" asks a woman in a grey coat.
"Yes," says a redhead girl. "And then he was killed by someone I don't know. He came late."
"I see. It's good, it means a Demon isn't running rampant. Why did you all steal a Kamino Weapon?"
"Our boss wanted to give it as a peace offering to join a Rogue Guild. He never said which one… so I can't help with that."
The woman in the grey coat closes her holographic screen. "Thank you. That is all. You can take her back to her holding cell."
The redhead gets taken away. The woman in grey plays with her long black hair. She waits for a second before checking outside. There is no Sharmeija member in sight.
She sneaks through the interrogation section of Sharmeija, a labyrinth of corridors. It takes her a few minutes to get outside. She goes around the corner where a passed-out Sharmeija member lies in his underwear.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
She dresses in different clothes. She places a bottle of alcohol next to the man, along with the device she made her notes on. "That should do it."
The black-haired woman makes her hair neater. Perfect bangs and a ponytail with a gold-metal hairband. She takes out an earpiece and places it in her ear.
"Jubala here. Does anyone read me?"
Jubala sneaks away from Sharmeija Headquarters towards train tracks. A voice responds in her ear.
"Jubala, do you read me?"
"Ah, Grivo! Good to hear you."
"Where have you been?" asks Grivo. "You were supposed to report back to the Guild days ago."
"I had to make sure our trail was covered. Good news, Starseeker is not expected at all in the attack on Virtura, even after Gittar's sticky fingers."
"That is not what Master Mathias ordered."
"Well, he knows what I'm doing. Besides, I got a possible lead on how to find the next Kamino Island."
"No Jubala!" shouts Grivo. "You need to come back this instant!"
"Sheesh, you're yelling my ear off! I'm heading to the Valentine Guild. That's where I'll find the location."
"Jubala. Do not continue with your plan. You will-"
Jubala takes out her earpiece. The sound of train wheels becomes loud. She smirks. A cargo train approaches.
"Right on time."
She runs beside it and jumps on as soon as the opportunity arises, disappearing into the land of Arkodia with the train to its next destination.
