Chapter - 11 : Star Class
---
Alex woke up and engaged in a rigorous training session before heading to school. Upon arrival, he joined the lineup of awakened students on the school grounds, all eagerly showcasing their natal weapons and the moves they had mastered during their month-long break. As Alex took his place at the back of the line, he noticed the other students avoiding him, treating him as an outsider. However, Alex remained unfazed by their behavior, finding solace in the fact that he could maintain a low-key presence and focus on his own growth without being distracted by superficial matters.
After some time, James made his way towards the school grounds, walking directly towards where Alex was standing. However, before he could reach Alex, he found himself surrounded by both girls and boys. The girls attempted to entice James with their affections, offering to be his girlfriend and fulfill his every desire. Meanwhile, the boys approached him, seeking reconciliation and extending invitations to join their groups for collective learning.
However, James saw through their shallow intentions and ignored their advances. He continued on his path, unaffected by the superficial attempts to win him over. Observing this, the onlookers couldn't help but sigh and regret their own actions, wishing they had not treated James with disdain.
"Hey, Alex. How have you been? Have you been practicing with your natal weapon?" James greeted, but Alex remained silent, offering no response. Undeterred, James continued talking, sharing how his grandfather and parents were overjoyed that he awakened a divine weapon. He mentioned the daily requirement of injecting 20 blood bags and the reduced life reduction of 3 years, now totaling 32 years.
James went on to discuss the two advanced moves his grandfather had taught him, namely "Hammer Pain" and "Hammer Quake." He also proudly mentioned that he had started practicing his exclusive move, "Divine Trigger" which served as an auxiliary technique, enhancing the power of his moves threefold for a duration of 10 minutes.
Before he could continue further, a voice echoed across the grounds, commanding attention. "Alright, everyone, quiet down," the voice declared. "I understand you're all excited, but don't let it get to your heads. Awakening is just the beginning. True power is achieved through constant refinement and dedication to perfecting your skills." It was the principal addressing the gathered students.
He continued, "Now that everyone is here, we will be dividing you into three sections: Star Class, Middle Class, and Bottom Class. The Star Class will consist of only twelve students, while the Middle Class will comprise those who have awakened with D and E level normal weapons. The remaining students will be placed in the Bottom Class."
As the principal's words sank in, a mix of emotions spread through the crowd. Some students were visibly pleased, anticipating the benefits and advantages that would come with being in the prestigious Star Class. They knew they would receive the best teachers, resources, and possibly even financial support from the school. However, not everyone shared this enthusiasm.
For some, there was a sense of unwillingness and disappointment. They knew that being placed in the Bottom Class meant limited opportunities and fewer resources. The realization of the discrimination based on power and ability weighed heavily on their minds. In this awakened society, strength was respected, and the weak were left to fend for themselves. It was a harsh reality that reminded everyone of their place in the hierarchy of awakeners.
After the students were sorted into their respective classes, the principal announced the teachers who would guide them on their journey of improvement over the next four years leading up to the major competition. The anticipation grew as the students eagerly awaited the introduction of their mentors.

First, the principal introduced Romario Jesus as the teacher for the Star Class. Romario was a formidable figure, a 4th level Advanced Martial Artist who wielded a C level Normal Spear Weapon. His expertise and skill in combat were highly regarded, and the students in the Star Class knew they were in capable hands.
Next, the principal introduced Amy Jones as the teacher for the Middle Class. Amy was a 2nd level Advanced Martial Artist who possessed a D level Normal Musical Weapon in the form of a harp. Her unique weapon intrigued the students, and they looked forward to exploring the harmony of music and combat under her guidance.
Lastly, the principal introduced Jonty Allen, the teacher for the Bottom Class. Jonty was a 1st level Advanced Martial Artist, wielding an E level Normal Sword Weapon. Though his level was relatively lower compared to the other teachers, the students in the Bottom Class understood that he would provide them with the foundation they needed to grow and improve.
With the introduction of the teachers complete, the principal addressed the students with an announcement that had everyone's attention. "Now, for the moment that everyone has been eagerly waiting for," he began, "students in the Star Class will have the privilege of selecting any three skill books from the extensive library. Additionally, they will be provided with a remuneration of 1 million Ark dollars annually."
He continued, "Students in the Middle Class will be able to choose two skill books from the library, and they will receive a remuneration of 100,000 Ark dollars per year."
Lastly, he addressed the students in the Bottom Class, stating, "Students in the Bottom Class will have the option to choose one skill book from the library and will receive a remuneration of 20,000 Ark dollars annually."
As the students absorbed this information, a sense of motivation filled the air. They understood that their choices and efforts would shape their path towards becoming formidable awakeners.
Principal swept his eyes across the ground and said , "I know some people would not be happy with this distribution .They think even if they are low level weapon awakeners than the star or the middle class , it doesn't mean they will perform poor than the powerful ones. So, to give everyone equal opportunity, the school has decided there will be competition between the classes and based on the ranking they would be reshuffled in the classes and will enjoy the same benefits which the awakeners in classes experienced " . Hearing this , awakeners in Bottom class and Middle class can be seen with excitement in their eyes and they seemed to be filled with determination . Some of the top students sneered seeing this as if they knew these low level awakeners cannot match the speed with which they will progress , no matter how much they put in effort.
Observing the students' reactions, the principal decided to clarify an important rule. "I want to emphasize that every awakener, regardless of their class, will be allowed to choose a maximum of three skill books from the library. This means that if a student initially belongs to the Middle Class but manages to secure a position in the Star Class through exceptional performance, they will be eligible to choose only one additional skill book since they had already selected two books earlier."
The principal's announcement ensured that every student understood the limitation and the fairness of the system. It prevented any potential imbalance or advantage for those who might have initially been placed in a lower class but demonstrated exceptional progress.
The principal concluded, "Remember, the skill books from the library are valuable resources that will aid you in your journey to become powerful awakeners. Choose wisely and make the most of the opportunities given to you.Ok,now everyone go to the library to choose skill books!"
Alex, along with the other students, made their way to the library after the principal's speech.
