Tossing the man into the back of the police car with handcuffs, they closed the door, leaving the man soaked from the rain sitting in the back.
"Kugh" Gyun grasped at the bleeding cut on his side, it was a long and shallow cut that he'd gotten from a piece of glass when he was first dragged out of the taxi that he hadn't noticed initially.
It wasn't bleeding much but it stung quite a bit, as he lightly touched his side wincing, his breathing was labored from the broken ribs after the blow from the bat.
-At least they won't be talking to the police, but after an incident like this I'll have to give them a call, he's the only one who can handle something of this scale-
Sitting in the back of his car, he didn't have to wait for long as the female police officer opened the door and sat in the front of the police car.
"Stay still and don't move"
Gyun's vision was blurry, a feeling of nausea welled up in his stomach and felt like the pressure was building up in his head. He blinked several times, trying to reorient himself as he grabbed the seat of the police car. His sense of balance was fading and he felt like he was living in a fog, as he sat back in the car he felt like vomiting.
Closing his eyes he tried to disassociate himself, and focus on something else, eventually trying to meditate.

1 day later,
-This is familiar-
"So are you going to tell me what happened?"
Sitting in a hospital bed, Gyun glanced around as the stern-faced detective sat across from him. Gyun was in the hospital being treated for a fractured sternum and multiple lacerations that required stitches. As well as the concussion he'd received in his fight for survival against the gangsters.
Looking out the window, at the bright lights of the city he didn't answer immediately, in the reflection of the glass he could see a series of faces that Gyun recognized.

Getting frustrated that Gyun wasn't even looking at him, much less answering him the stone-faced detective snapped. "Hey, do you think this is some sort of joke?! I've got 17 dead bodies that they just took off the street and you won't answer any questions?!"
The other pair of police officers behind the detective, whom Gyun had noted looked tougher than the average police officer. -It's probably for security reasons, though they already have me handcuffed to the hospital bed-
Gyun looked at him with his piercing and empty violet eyes, "I don't think I have to tell you anything" his voice held no emotion in it, it was almost robotic.
The detective's face hardened at that, "You're lawyer arrives in 10 minutes, we'll see if you start answering questions then"
Leaving the room in a storm, the two bulky police officers assumed a guard position outside Gyun's hospital door.
Sitting up in his hospital bed and wincing as pain shot throughout his chest, Gyun spoke in a low voice "I thought I told you not to come back", dozens of hands grabbed his shoulders, and Gyun looked once again to the window. In the reflection, he saw the entirety of his Dream Walker battalion that he'd once fought shoulder to shoulder with in Murim, who'd all died, leaving only Gyun out of the 87 Dream Walkers. Their faces were left with the expressions they had when they died.
He took deep breaths to calm himself, his hand shaking as he reached over and grabbed the pair of bottles of pills he'd been given by the doctor one for the pain and the other for his depression. Taking one of each, Gyun leaned back closing his eyes, as he sunk into the hospital bed trying to control his breath.

"My client has no obligation to answer that question officer" the lawyer who was an older woman with streaks of grey in her hair spoke up for Gyun.
The detective gritted his teeth in anger, "He hasn't answered a single question yet" pointed at Gyun who was staring at his hands that were covered in calluses with a blank look on his face and his eyes.
"And he's not obligated to" The lawyer did not back down as the detective started to get angry.
The detective and the lawyer engaged in a back-and-forth, while Gyun sat listlessly spacing out while handcuffed he thought back to a half hour ago. When the lawyer first arrived,
She whispered to him she was with 'her' and that the call Gyun made to 'them' had paid off as they were already moving to put pressure on the police commissioner and the courts to close the case and rule in self-defense.
Sighing Gyun sat back in his chair, zoning back into the current interrogation he spoke for the first time since they entered the interrogation.
"I don't plan on answering any questions so why don't we just call it good for now instead of wasting any more time." his voice while emotionless came off as condescending
The interrogating detective's eyes lit up with anger, slamming his hands on the table "Do you think you're going to win this case, do you think that you're better than those people you killed"
Gyun's listless eyes drifted until they made eye contact with the detective the bright violet eyes were empty as they were before, but the detective could feel a hint of malice deep within Gyun's eyes. It seemed so evil that it sent a shiver down the man's spine, a man who'd seen all sorts of crazy people, people who killed for money, for pleasure, for the sake of it but he'd never felt malice like what he was now, more than that there was a hair raising dangerous and ominous feeling from this man.
Perhaps it was because the detective knew what the man across from him had done, killing 17 people in the street who'd attacked him in all sorts of brutal manners. One man's head had pieces of skull all the way across the street, his head quite literally exploding. But the detective was confident that no matter the situation, no matter where he saw this man the dangerous feeling would always remain.
If he had to describe the feeling, he would say it was like death was following him, no more like the other man was drowning in the feeling of death. It's the stench of death and the blood of those he killed was suffocating smothering him, creating an ominous pressure. The listless and empty eyes showed no remorse or empathy, as if he'd killed cattle or vermin, there wasn't even a hint of satisfaction or anger. This man gained nothing from killing those people yet he did, and did it in a brutal and ruthless way.
He stood up as he left the room he pointed at the other officers to take Gyun back to his hospital bed, the detective didn't speak and hid his trembling hands as he walked out of the interrogation room.
