Gyun was a block away in a distant alley as he tore off his sweatshirt, tossing it in a random trash can as he carefully took off his gloves and mask disposing of them in a separate trash can.
As Gyun walked along the Seoul night streets in the rain in a long sleeve T-shirt, the soaked shirt stuck to his well-muscled body, showing off his muscled physique.
-I need to make a call to 'Them'-
He noticed a young woman staring at him, approaching her he plastered a smile on my face. His hair was wet and stuck to his face,
"Hey, so uh I'm a bit lost and my phone died...so do you mind if I borrow yours for just a moment to make a call, I need to call y friend where I'm at?"
The woman's face flushed red, her eyes darting to look anywhere but at Gyun's body, "Well er, here you can make a quick call if you need to" She passed Gyun her phone,
Gyun gave her a short bow, "thank you" he dialed a number
The bright streetlights and building lights illuminated the sidewalk, as the phone rang, the city street noise, of the cars and people on the city street talking overlay the ringing cellphone.
After a few rings, a heavily distorted voice came over the call, "I thought I told you not to call me"
"Yeah yeah, I-" Gyun paused as he glanced over at the woman who had been looking at him, who hurriedly looked away.
He turned away and lowered his voice, "I handled him, but I got a drive out of him before Mr.Ryeo left this world, it has some information on it."
"You haven't checked it yet have you?" Through the heavy synthetic distortion, Gyun could hear a hint of concern.
"No, I haven't, why? Is there something bad on the drive?"
There was a pause over the call, "There shouldn't be but you never know, you should pass it off to me, I'll send a courier, if there's any security on it I can get it unlocked"
Gyun smiled as he turned and waved to the woman, before turning in the other direction, despite keeping his voice relatively quiet, his voice carried a heavy aura of intimidation.
"Hey, do you really think I'm stupid enough to give you that fucking drive, don't forget I know who you are, I'll kill you if you screw me on this"
A heavy silence followed for a few seconds, "Well then why don't we make this agreement in person and you can settle this face to face"
"Is that a threat? Are you forgetting what I've done already? I'll kill you and your fucked up family, do you understand me?"
"Sigh* you don't change, do you? *tsk* so angry... we can meet on neutral ground if that's what you desire, I'll be bringing some of my 'associates' for protection, and I'll text you the location"

"Remember you need me for you to succeed" Gyun hung up,
Turning to the woman he smiled, "Thank you so much"
"Oh y-you're welcome"

The raindrops thumped softly against the taxi cab, staring emptily out the window at the passing city, the monotonous sound of the city. The grey sky, the city had a drowsy feel to it as the roads were unusually empty.
For some inexplicable reason, the environment put his mind at ease, he felt himself sinking into the taxi's seats.
He'd killed many people, enough to warrant an afterlife of suffering, if there was an afterlife
But this was one of the rare occasions where he felt more at peace with himself after taking the life of another person. It felt like one of the many weights on his shoulders had been lifted off his shoulders.
Closing his eyes he leaned back in the seat, he felt like he could sleep right this moment,
"Gyun? Gyun? Are you awake?"
Bolting awake, Gyun woke up in the midst of a battlefield, the sounds of screams surrounded the muddy field.
He looked up to see a fiery trebuchet shot fly through the air, he looked to the side, it was the face of some soldier he didn't know.
"W-Who are yo-"
Gyun was cut off as the man coughed up blood, and collapsed over Gyun's legs an arrow lodged deep into the man's back.
Shoving the man off of him Gyun scrambled to stand up, glancing down at his attire,
-This is the standard Canto Empire foot soldier leather armor, is this a memory of my first year?-
He picked up the dead soldier's spear that was still grasped tightly in the dead man's fingers, the muddy battlefield was filled with crates and blood.
Before he had time to even realize or process what had just happened, an enemy soldier charged out from the fray, towards Gyun. His face was extremely young, he looked no older than 17, but the look in his eye showed a fear deeply set into his mind.
Desperation,
That was the only word to describe what Gyun was sensing from the boy, yet maybe because it was Gyun's memories and this had all already happened. He found his body instinctively moving, spearing the young soldier through the stomach with a powerful thrust, a bloodcurdling scream followed. The boy's face contorted into a horrified expression, and the life slowly drained out of him along with his blood while he was in pain impaled on Gyun's spear and the tears fell down his face.
Even Gyun's battle-hardened self, flinched when he pulled out the spear, and blood spurted out covering Gyun in the boy's blood. And the soldier fell over unmoving in a pool of his own blood.
Feeling a sickness in his stomach, Gyuns breathing became more and more heavy as his eyes darted around the battlefield, his sweat beaded down his forehead, he grasped his helmet, and tossed it to the ground. He felt like he couldn't breathe, his heart was pounding, and leaning over he threw up on the ground.
-I need to run-
Dashing along the battlefield Gyun panted as he recalled where he was,
This was the 1st year of Gyun's arrival in the otherworld, and this was the battle of Zola, the first major battle he'd taken part in where he'd managed to kill his first enemy, back when Gyun was a third-rate martial artist with ordinary skills.
"And where I..."
Looking up just in time to see a flying burning trebuchet shot land right in front of him, gathering his small amount of internal energy, before the shot exploded and sent him flying backward.
Bouncing off the ground, Gyun could feel the side of his jaw burn intensely, likely a burn from the flames of the exploding artillery shot, as he hit the ground for a second time he landed on his arm, and a jolt of pain shot throughout his arm, and Gyun felt the bones shift in his elbow. As he landed for a third time, he felt his head hit something hard as he finally stopped rolling.
As Gyun lay on the ground looking up at the sky, the fiery streaks of artillery and the small pins that were arrows dotted the sky, his vision was blurry and his mind felt foggy.
-Fuck...this is when I got that ugly burn scar on my jaw and broke my arm-
His mind felt so fuzzy, he blinked, as stars in his vision appeared, he felt his conscious slip,
-Ha, What a fucked up dream-
The pain was vivid still vivid in his mind, as his eyes shot open,
His breathing was labored, and the cacophony of screams was still fresh in his mind as he reached to feel the sweat on his neck.
He felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise, he looked out the window of the cab, a face was looking back at him.
-Minhee, why are you back again? Is it because I killed him?-
The beautiful face frowned at him, her mouth opened as if to speak, Gyun sat up suddenly attentive to hear her voice.
'The light is beautiful isn't it?'
"What? Minhee?"
There was no response from the apparition in the reflection of the window, instead, the reflection disappeared into a pair of bright headlights of a car charging into the side of the cab.
Gyun's body tensed up,
-Shit-
Grabbing hold of the seatbelt, he was already buckled in as the car rammed the taxi cab, it felt like time was slowed.
The windows shattered, and the frame of the cab crumpled, the shards of broken glass flew by Gyuns face as the car lifted up into the air. The car flipped over, and Gyun was held in place by the seatbelt, which knocked the air out of him as it caught him as he started to bolt forward from the impact.
The car slid across the pavement, making a screeching sound as the metal drug across the pavement.
