Pant Pant*
"HAHAHA! There you are!"
Gyun breathed heavily as he raised his sword, he'd reached the 32nd floor and reached the penthouse after more than an hour of working his way up. His sword was covered in blood as he pointed his sword at the tutorial boss, who was a slender middle-aged man with brown hair and bright silver eyes.
Gyun took off the trench coat that his character had come with, and using the coat he cleaned his sword of blood. Before sheathing it and tossing the coat aside, he loosened his shoulders by moving around.
-Ah I probably shouldn't do that....meh force of habit-
Gyun lowered his stance and opened his legs, the tutorial boss didn't even speak as it moved its hand to reveal the sword sheath on its hip.
Both stood still for a moment, before the boss drew its sword, and charged.
------------------------------------
A day later
Gyun was leaving the high school, and Juwon followed him
"come on man, your giving up on Reality Quest already?! You finished the tutorial mission with the full clear almost a full 2 hours before the previous number one. Your characters on the tutorial leaderboards, your currently ranked number 1 for the Ronin class and 3rd in the world rankings for all classes for the tutorial missions! You could be a pro!"
"It got boring"
Juwon kicked a small rock on the sidewalk they were walking down in annoyance at Gyun's dismissive attitude over something so impressive.
"Why?!"
Gyun closed then opened his fist as he stared at it, "Because it's not real"
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
-It's true, despite how realistic the graphics were, it couldn't replicate the feeling of my fist driving into someone's skull, it couldn't give me the satisfaction of dominating my opponent, and I couldn't smell the blood I'm used to. It felt fake-
Gyun felt conflicted, he didn't want to fight again but the half taste of violence was too intoxicating. Even before he'd transmigrated to murim, Gyun had adored martial arts he'd studied kendo reaching a world-class level before 15 years old. He'd even found someone to teach him iaido the art of drawing your sword, he'd even briefly forayed into boxing. He was someone who'd fought all his life, in all fairness murim fit someone like him. That's why he survived the war and others didn't, but now that Gyun was in a time of peace, he was satisfied with a life of peace.
But that tantalizing feeling of fighting was luring him back,
-shit what am I thinking it's a beautiful time like this-
Gyun turned to Juwon "Hey lets go get some coffee"
"eh?"
"I'll pay this time"
"Sure hell yeah! " Juwons confused face turned giddy
A voice shouted from behind him "HEY!"
"hmm?" Gyun turned to look back at where the voice came from,
It was from a group of high schoolers, Gyun looked around before answering "You talking to us?"
The group walked nonchalantly up to Gyun and Juwon, they were wearing the same uniforms that Gyun and Juwon were wearing.
Except for the one guy in the front who was wearing a Balenciaga sweatshirt, Gyun recognized him as the one who'd swung at Gyun back when they were watching the fight.
Juwon also recognized him, "You're that guy from before..... Lee Jisung right?"
"Yeah"
"So what are you here for?" Gyun interjected before Juwon could answer.
-With guys like this there's only one reason they would show up at a school with a posse like this.-
Jisung smiled as he pulled out his hands and raised them in a mocking manner, chuckling to himself.
"Hey calm down, we aren't here looking for trouble, we just wanted to make sure you don't tell anyone what happened yesterday."
-You could at least come up with a better excuse- Gyun thought sarcastically
Juwon also caught on pretty easily and promptly rejected it. "I think we're good, me a-and Gyun were going to a PC cafe after this anyway so we are perfectly fi…..ne "
The Jisung's group surrounded Gyun and Juwon.
His expression and voice were so arrogant that it grated on Gyun's nerves so bad he wanted to send his fist through his face.
But Gyun held it in since he had no ambition of serving a few months in Juvenile Detention.
Gyun smacked Juwons arm, "Well you don't have to worry we won't tell anyone"
Juwon glanced at Gyun and the other bystanders on the street who were mumbling as they passed by noting the spectacle.
One of his group whispered to Jisung, "There are too many people here, we can't do this now"
"tch!" Jisung glanced at the pair who'd humiliated him, especially the one who'd almost sent him to sleep with a slap.
-I can't let something like this go if anybody were to find out about something like this my position could be endangered that's why I'm using these idiots-
Jisung pondered for a bit, before turning to Gyun and Juwon "Well why don't we discuss this with my hyung-nims? They're discussing something at a great party spot you can even have a drink on your way out."
Juwon and Gyun were both bewildered for a moment they turned to look at each other, thinking the same thing.
-This guy must think we're stupid-
"N-
"Yeah why not" Gyun interrupted, -It's best to show someone their place before they get arrogant-
"So where are they?"
"They're currently at a famous meeting spot, it's only a few minutes around the corner"
