Instantaneously, Nick had been brought to the time right before Ryan took off his helmet. He looked around, everything looked as if it was good as new.

He still had some tears hanging on his cheeks. As he glanced around once more, Ryan and Adam were still analyzing the readings from the scanning device. The peacefulness all around made him feel more relaxed and comfortable, but not for long. After that, Ryan said.

“Wow, the air composition is very similar to Earth’s air”

Just as he was going to take off his helmet, Nick stopped him and shouted.

“Ryan Don’t!”

“Why? What happened?” Ryan was very puzzled.

Nick all of a sudden didn’t know what to say. All he had in his mind was on what he said next could determine Ryan and Adam’s life and death. His autistic nature kicked in again, he almost couldn’t focus on anything anymore.

“Nick, Are you ok?” Ryan asked.

Ryan didn’t take his helmet off just yet, he believed Nick had some reasons for his interruption.

“Nick, what’s the problem?” Ryan questioned Nick once more.

“Nick, what’s wrong?” Adam asked.

Nick was just standing there, with his unfocused eyes staring at the ground. Ryan went in front of him and shook his body, trying to get his attention. Suddenly, Nick looked at them and said nothing, as if he had lost memory and didn’t know what happened just now.

“Nick”, Adam called him.

“Yeah?” Nick responded.

“Why did you stop Ryan from taking off his helmet?” doubted Adam.

Nick started to think really hard and finally thought of a reason.

“Because you never know what else is in the air and if it is perfectly safe for human consumption”, Nick answered.

“Fair enough”, Adam replied.

“Urggg, I guess I won’t take it off then.”

After that, the three of them finished setting up their bases and soon proceeded to form a connection with the 2 satellites.

“Connection made”, the system said.

“We should explore the area a little bit first”, Ryan suggested.

“No, the sun is setting soon, we need to build our base camp first”, Adam commanded.

Just when he said that, the sun started to set, the brightness of the surroundings diminished. There were shadows formed by the trees and other structures. The shadow began to stretch and soon became a long strip. It wasn’t possible to identify the object based on their shadows. Nick took out big tents and started to build them. He hammered the tents tight into the ground. There were loud clangours as he hammered the nails down. Adam took out fire building kits and started a bright yellow fire. The bright yellow flame illuminated the camp. The flame fluttered as the wind blew softly. Ryan took out all the food and necessary supplies. Whilst everyone was at work. They were secretly spied on by someone, a human-like creature. It hid deep in the woods and quietly observed each and every of their actions…
