He stared at the spacecraft. Another man walked towards him and asked, “Have you had breakfast yet Nick?”.
“No”, said with a deep voice
Nick redirected his focus and went to eat breakfast. It was almost like he was being reminded.
He slowly consumed his last meal before leaving. He looked down onto the food. The soggy, black and circular cereal partially resembled a black hole. Fear started to grow in him.
After the meal, he was preparing and doing some last minute checking. Several people were surrounding him and putting his personal space suit on. He sat down in front of a window, and on the opposite side was the spacecraft he would enter to make history. As he waited to board the spacecraft, the fear continued to be amplified. There were multiple people checking the systems and recalculating the amount of fuel used to make sure. In the time being, Nick was just staring at the spacecraft. It was an immense orange rocket with 2 rocket boosters attached to the sides. The rocket boosters are there to help the whole spacecraft to escape Earth’s atmosphere. The most important component: the space shuttle was placed on the main rocket body with its nose pointing up.
A few moments later, Nick raised his arm and looked at his watch.
“09:51”, his watch blinked.
There were only nine more minutes before the rocket launched the spacecraft into space. Nick made sure he was fine and in good condition. The fear continued to magnify. He later redirected his focus to the rocket/spacecraft.

“09:53”, his watch displayed.
The rocket looked as if it was as tall as a skyscraper. It had fins to stable the flight and contained tons (literally tons) of a mixture of liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. Liquid oxygen increased the rate of combustion and therefore pushed the rocket up. The rocket consists of many sections. The payload section, fuel tank, living module (space shuttle) and storage section.
“09:56”, his watch showed.
The rocket, rocket boosters and the space shuttle took 10 years to design and 8 years to build. Moreover, it had cost 500 billion dollars to build the whole structure, with over 1000 workers, welders and managers working countless hours.
“09:58”, his watch announced.
Eventually, he and the other two men were walking through the spacecraft boarding bridge. Nick’s body stopped operating out of the blue when trying to enter the spacecraft. There seems to be some strange force keeping him back.
“Nick, get in”, said Ryan
Nick tried to restart his body and walk in, but failed. He just stood there. He was putting 100% of his effort into moving, but he felt something was trying to stop him and trying to prevent him from entering the spacecraft.
“Nick, what are you doing?”, said Adam in a serious voice.
He opened his mouth and tried to speak but he couldn’t, it was as if his voice chords were removed and he wasn’t able to produce any sound. Unexpectedly, his body suddenly restarted and moved itself into the spacecraft. The three of them laid down onto seats and were almost like being tucked into beds by the officers. The immense pressure of his space suit on him can be felt as well as the amounts of fear that has accumulated.
“T-minus 3 … 2 … 1”.
As the rocket tried to lift off, there were tremendous amounts of flame and smoke coming from the rocket nozzle. There were thundering roars from the rocket blasting off.
“We have a lift off!”, celebrated the commentator.
As the rocket blasts off, the fear is finally gone and they have successfully taken off. He could feel the enormous force for gravity acting onto every square inch of his body. It was like his body was being crushed by a hydraulic press. Soon after, the spacecraft entered the exosphere, it turned and aimed towards HD 260655b which has an Earth-like environment, suitable for humans to live in.
Slowly, the spacecraft accelerated and gained speed. Once desired velocity was obtained, the space crew were allowed to move around. The internal living space is rather spacious and the three men could freely move around.
