As the spacecraft approached the majestic celestial body, the planet grew and grew. It looked as if it was magnified. There was an immense amount of light being reflected by the planet and it was almost too bright for the naked eye. Nick, Adam and Ryan all pressed their faces against the windows and stared at the majestic celestial body. There were big patches of green all around the planet, surrounded by blue oceans. It was as if it was a magnificent life being. All of them were amazed and this was never seen before on Earth. Just when it reached climax, there was an alarming siren.

“Entering the exosphere in T-minus 10 minutes'', the system yelled.

The three of them switched modes in an instant and started preparing for landing. Nick started getting the space suits ready for everyone. Ryan started operating and setting up GPS technology that will be brought out. Adam is steering the spacecraft and ready to launch a satellite while they are currently almost in the exosphere (Satellites mainly are found in the thermosphere and exosphere).

“The spacecraft have entered the exosphere”, the system said.

“Launching GPS satellite in 3 … 2 … 1 … Launch”

As the system announced the launch, the satellite that was attached to the spacecraft got detached and was shot out like a bullet. It rapidly flew through space and went into orbit of planet HD 260655b. It looked like a missile at first when it flew out, after it reached high orbit it spreaded out like a cobweb. It had large solar panels with an immense surface area which would provide power for the satellite. As the satellite flew out of sight, another satellite was almost ready to be launched.

“Reaching the stratosphere in T-minus 10 minutes”

As the spacecraft entered the stratosphere, the other satellite was launched subsequently. Adam, Ryan and Nick started to prepare for landing. They have put their suits on and strapped themselves inside the main control panel.

Spacecraft entered into the thick atmosphere and there was an unimaginable amount of friction and air resistance. It created large amounts of heat energy and the heat shield had started glowing red. The whole spacecraft, which looked like a plane but wider and smaller wings, was heating up and almost resembled an asteroid. When the spacecraft descended, parachutes were opened, a soft cushion like air bags were released to prevent major damages to the spacecraft.

The spacecraft was only a few hundreds of meters above ground and the speed was finally able to be reduced to a manageable amount. The spacecraft is about to land.

“BRACE FOR IMPACT!”, yelled Adam.

The landing was actually rather smooth, and there was minimal damage to the spacecraft. As everything settled down and the engines turned off, the cabin door opened automatically. Everyone slowly unbuckled themselves and went out of the spacecraft.
