The Jakqoo walks onto a platform and it is then taken to a long tunnel. There were two rows of light on the ceiling and on the ground and they were parallel to each other. Grey and orange-colored panels lined up the walls. Vincent was in the cockpit of his frame when a small screen popped up beside him, it was Bel. “Now, Vincent, you are on the catapult. This thing is made to feel like the real thing, so be ready for it. Now since you are on the catapult, like in all mecha animations, it is a must for you to say your name and the name of the frame as you launch. Try it, it’ll be fun.” Vincent listens to Bel’s advice and did as he was told, “Vincent Porter, Jakqoo A. Ready for take-off!”
The light at the end of the tunnel turned from red to green, and the catapult moved. Sparks flew as the Jakqoo was quickly sent towards the end of the tunnel. Upon reaching the end of the tunnel, it was launched out of the tunnel. The Jakqoo activated its thrusters and flew. He was glad that the controls for both the online and offline versions of WARFRAME were similar. While he was launching, Vincent thought about Bel’s advice, "So that’s why Anna had me say that. Got to say, now that I know the reason, it does feel kind of fun to say." Compared to the offline version, Vincent felt G-force as he was catapulted.
After the Jakqoo was catapulted out of the tunnel, two more frames followed suit. The second one to launch was a female rose-themed Angel type frame, “Anna Fischer, Rosenkavalier. Taking off!” Rosenkavalier was catapulted out of the tunnel followed by another machine. “Justin Walker, Mantaraia. Setting sail!” Sparks flew as the third frame was launched from the catapult.
Upon exiting the tunnel, Vincent found out that he was just launched from a tower in the middle of a beautiful metropolis. He marveled at the sight of the city below when Anna and Justin joined him in the air. Justin contacted Vincent, “Alright Newb, enough sight-seeing. We’re here for your tutorial battle mission, so let’s hop to it.” Justin led the way to the outskirts of the city into the forest.
As they flew towards their destination, Bell noticed something on her navigations panel, “Oh, what’s this? Vincent has his autopilot on. Should I tell him about it? Nah. I’ll just let the autopilot take him to his destination and turn it off when the battle starts.”
The group of three flew deeper into the forest, just a stone’s throw away from the closest mountains. During the flight to their destination, Bell contacted Anna, Justin, and Vincent, primarily Vincent. “Alright you three, listen up. There are three key aspects in WARFRAME that you should always keep in mind if you want to keep improving yourselves. The first one is frame assembly, the second is, masterful control skills, and the third and last one is passion. After all, you can’t be properly motivated to do something without passion. The more passionate you are about something, the more motivated you are to do it. Your skills can only improve as you play the game.” A screen appeared just below Bel’s screen and Anna commented, “She’s not wrong. But, on to the matter at hand.”
After flying for a few more minutes, the group of three comes across a blue, nearly see-through dome. Looking at it through his screen, Vincent asks, “What’s that?” Bell reveals some information to Vincent, “That’s the boundary field. The moment you step through it, you will enter the battlefield and the tutorial battle will start. Since it is a tutorial battle, your machine won’t be harmed by accidental friendly fire. There are plenty of cases where this happened in large-scale battles when a proper strategy was not formed. Since you don’t have to worry about friendly fire, you can go all out.” Vincent gives an excited and affirmative smile, “In that case, come on guys.” Anna answers, “You got it.” Justin answers, “Roger, roger.”
Upon entering the boundary field, a notification appeared on the screens of each frame and at the boundary of the battlefield. It reads, ‘Mission Start’. As they fly over the forest, alarms alerted Vincent of enemy targets inbound to his location. The screen zoomed in and gave him a better picture of the attacking enemy. There were nine grey enemy units approaching the trio. Three of the enemy units had large cannons attached to their arms. Six of the units were flying towards Anna, Justin, and Vincent, while the other three stopped and began firing upon the three players.
Vincent blocks the blast using the shield on his shoulder but the attack sent him flying a bit. The impact had caused Vincent to be propelled away a bit. After regaining his bearings, Vincent fired the missiles from the missile pod attached to his legs. The missile hits and destroys one of the enemy units, but not before it was able to fire off one last round from its cannon. The attack hits Vincent and he fell out of the sky and was sent crashing down into the forest. After Vincent fell out of the sky, Bell finally remembered, “Oh, right, forgot to turn this off.” The green light that lit the autopilot box dimmed.

Anna launches her bits as she opened fire on the enemy units that were approaching her. The bits fly around one and easily disposes it of its defenses. The bits kept unleashing a barrage of beams and they whittled away at its armor, it began to fire at the key points of its target until the enemy unit was destroyed. Anna took care of the other one that came after her. She fired beams at it while it retaliated with a hail of bullets from its machinegun.
Once it was within range, Anna launched her cable and it coiled around the enemy unit. The cable began to heat up and turn a shade of orange as electricity flowed through the cable. The electricity shocked and stunned the enemy unit while the heat from the cable, heated and melted the body of the enemy unit. After reaching its breaking point, the unit exploded. After taking out one unit, the bits flew in the direction of the cannon units.
Justin on the other hand, easily disposed of his targets. The shots fired from the depth launcher exploded upon contact with the enemy units that approached him. They exploded into bits and pieces after being shot by this weapon. While Justin was occupied with one enemy, another stealthily approached him from behind. Unfortunately, this sneak attack was not beyond his notice. Justin pulled out the new halberd from his backpack before launching the manta ray.
Justin swung the halberd with great strength. The halberd turned a shade of orange as it was swung. It easily tore through the torso of the enemy unit. It was split in two before exploding. The manta ray flew in the direction of the units with the cannons and it fired its torpedoes once it was within range. After maneuvering through cannon fire, the torpedo that was launched, hit its target, destroying it. Anna’s bits did the same and easily disposed of the cannon units that were firing upon them. All that was left were the units that were targeting Vincent.
After crashing into the forest below, the alarms alerted Vincent that there were two units encroaching upon his location. When they arrived at his location, one of them immediately took out its beam sword and tried to impale him. Vincent was able to react quickly and escaped destruction, thanks to his thrusters, it had carried him to safety. The unit with the beam sword quickly charges toward Vincent. Vincent took out his heat war hawk ax and blocked the attack, before pulling the trigger on his machine gun.
Even when he was able to push the enemy back, Vincent kept firing. The enemy unit stumbled backward a few steps before exploding in a ball of fire. After disposing of another enemy unit, Vincent spotted the third one not too far away. It fired its machinegun but Vincent zig zagged while charging towards the unit. He was able to dodge a few shots, and as he got closer, Vincent pulled a grenade from his back and threw it at the enemy unit.
The grenade split apart into six separate pieces before one of them detonated and exploded. The small explosion detonated the others, thus creating a larger explosion. The explosion stunned the enemy unit. Just as it was starting to get its bearings together, Vincent appeared from the dust and smoke and slashed his ax downwards. A large gash was left behind on the enemy unit. Sparks flew from the gash as did electric currents. This happened just moments before the unit blew up.
After the third unit was destroyed, Bell contacted Vincent and commented on his performance, at the same time a message appeared above the head of the last unit that Vincent had defeated, it reads ‘Mission Complete’. “You need to work on your reaction time. Plus you need to keep calm. I know this was more exhilarating when compared to the offline version, but that is what gives it its appeal. You can safely fight to the death in there. You need to keep an eye out on your opponents though. Don’t let them surprise you. You have to be the one to surprise them. You can’t follow their rhythm. Instead, you have to make them follow yours. But, all in all, I’d say it’s not bad for your first mission. All you have to do now is to return to base and register the mission as cleared. Afterward, you can take a breather, you deserve it.” Having received the mission complete from the game system, the trio returned to the tower that was the base and returned to the lobby where Bell was waiting for them at the counter. Bell helped Vincent with the procedure after completing a mission. “Well boys and girl, you should be able to handle things on your own from now on. Here is my contact information if you ever need me. Now, I’m off to help another novice in need.” Bell said her goodbye and left. Vincent looked at the name that was just added to his contact list, right under Anna and Justin. It showed Bell winking at him.
