In the year 2069, the company Earth United, created a system where players could enter the cyber world they had created, the Nexus. In this game, players would place their assembled machine and parts cards in the frame base, the card reader, and insert them into the gaming cockpit. Players would put on the visor and enter the Nexus. Once inside the cyberspace of the Nexus, Players could freely interact with other players or play missions and battles. Over time, this game quickly gained popularity and was played in most parts of the world. This system along with this game, revolutionized the world of gaming as we know it. The name of this game would only continue to gain fame. The name of this game is W.A.R.F.R.A.M.E (Weaponized Armoured Robotics Fashioned for Resolving and Mediating Encounters)
A young man walks off the train and exits the station. He makes his way across the street and walks a few blocks. He had short brown hair and brown eyes. He had a regular build and wore a white shirt that spelled ‘Fight!!’ in bright red letters under his blue jacket. He had a backpack on him as he made his way through the streets. He had just arrived in the city called Massey before he overheard some voices in an alley nearby.
The young man went in to get a closer look only to see a group of four had surrounded a young man with blonde hair and wearing a maroon-colored blazer. All of them looked to be in their teens. The leader of the group edged on, “Hand over everything you’ve got if you know what’s good for you.” The young man in the center of the circle fell on his butt and panicked. He was fearful for his life. He took out everything in his pocket and gave it to them. “Here’s all the money I have. Take it. Just let me go, please.” As the young man was giving his money away, something dropped out of his pocket. Seeing the injustice being done, the young man stopped observing and jumped into the fray to save the frightened teenager. He charges forth and punches the leader before the others start attacking him. “Four against one. Now that hardly seems fair. How about I even the odds a bit. Wait, that’s still a bit unfair, considering I’m the one you’re facing.” He easily subdues them by punching them in the gut and either elbowing or kneeing their faces as the leader was getting back to his feet. While this was going on, the blonde in the blazer scrambled to his feet and ran, leaving his possessions on the ground.
Seeing that the rest of his gang were all on the ground and wincing in pain, the leader charges forth with his fist against the young man. However, the young man easily grabs the incoming punch and throws the leader over his shoulder and slamming him to the ground, before twisting his arm to his back. Our hero looked up only to see the person he had saved, running out of the alley in fear. Suddenly, a police officer strolled by and saw the beaten teenagers groaning on the ground while the leader was beneath the young man’s knee. All of the people present were taken to the police station for questioning.
The young man was explaining to the police officer what had happened when a beautiful young lady in a beige skirt, a white and blue striped top, and a blue jacket walks in. She immediately begins scolding the young man the moment she caught sight of him. “Vincent, I thought I told you to stay out of trouble. And what did you do to get arrested by these nice police officers?” Vincent scratches the back of his head, his face riddled with guilt. “Hey, sis.” Just as his sister was about to berate him, the arresting officer interrupted, “Excuse me, miss?” the police officer stopped himself intending for Vincent’s sister to reveal her name. The young lady told the officer, “Maya Porter”. The officer continued, “Actually Miss Porter, your brother here isn’t really in trouble. He had saved a young man. You can take him away now. He has already given us his statement.” Maya thanked the officer and dragged her brother out.

Maya continues to berate her brother on their way to school. “I was in the middle of class when I got called to the teacher’s office. Then I was told that my brother was being held at the police station. Did you know how worried I was?” Vincent walked with his sister in a relaxed manner, “Calm down sis. Nothing happened. I just beat up a few bullies, that’s all.” Vincent then fished the thing that the person he saved dropped, out of his pocket. He fiddled with it for a bit before putting it back in his pocket. “I wonder if I’ll ever get to see that guy again. I need to return this thing to him. I don’t know, maybe I’ll get lucky and he’ll be right there.” That was what Vincent thought as he made his way to the school with his sister.
Inside the teacher’s office, a young blonde-haired girl was meeting with a teacher. “So you want to enter the WARFRAME Battle Championship. But Anna, I’m sure you know that you don’t exactly have the required number of members to participate. At the moment, the club only has you and Frank. You need at least three to a team. So, how are you going to solve this problem? There aren’t that many people willing to join you, you know that, right?” Anna argues, “I still have until the deadline to get more members. So please.” The door to the teacher’s office opens and Vincent walks in. Maya was behind him, and spoke a few words into his ears, “Introduce yourself to the teachers and ask them for the location of your class. Right now, you should have homeroom. I have to get back to class. We’ll continue our talk after the school’s over.” After saying what needs to be said, Maya leaves for her class.
Vincent introduces himself, “Good morning, I’m Vincent Porter. The new transfer student.” The teacher turns his attention to Vincent, “So you’re the new transfer student.” Vincent then asks, “By the way, which class should I join?” The teacher picks up a pen and starts to write down Vincent’s information. “Wait a minute. I’ll ask the grade’s headteacher. What was your name again?” Vincent answers, “Vincent Porter”, the teacher then asks, “and your grade?” To which Vincent answers, “The 10th grade.” The teacher recited the information to make sure it was accurate, before leaving, “Wait here for a minute.” Vincent thanks the teacher for his help, “Alright, thank you.”
Vincent turns to Anna, “You’re a student here right?” he asked. Anna nods and extends her right hand, “Hi, I’m Anna, 11th grade. Nice to meet you, new guy.” Vincent hesitated but asks anyway, “Um, Anna, is there an online shooting game club here like Cosmo Wars?” Anna shakes her head, “Sorry. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of a club like that in this school.” Vincent was a bit disappointed but then asks, “How about World War Apocalypse or Battlefield?” Anna shakes her head again, “Sorry, I don’t think clubs like that can be found in this school. We don’t have any online FPS clubs” Vincent was dejected. “Then which club should I join?” Anna’s expression changed as if a light bulb had started to shine atop her head. “Hey, I know. Vincent, do you like WARFRAME?”
Vincent was puzzled, “WARFRAME? What the heck is that?” Anna was surprised, “It’s the game where players assemble cards to make a robot and fight with them inside the game.” Vincent’s expression changed with plenty of question marks floating above his head. Anna then asks, “Haven’t you heard of it before?” Vincent shakes his head, “Nope”. Anna was shocked, “No way. To think that there is actually a guy who’s never heard of WARFRAME.” Anna turns away and mutters, “Did this guy live under a rock or something for the last few years?”
Vincent then asks Anna, “So, this War-whatsit… Is it that famous?” Anna grins and turns around with a kind and happy smile, “Hey, here is an idea. Why don’t you try WARFRAME Battle? It’s like a real… No, wait… It’s like the ultimate form of battle.” Upon hearing her declaration, Vincent got excited, “Ultimate battle!? So you do have FPS. Why didn’t you say so earlier?” Anna grabs Vincent and turns him around before pushing him out the door. “Come on, off to the club room we go.” Vincent was about to refuse but Anna kept pushing and they both left the room. Just as they left, the teacher returned with a piece of paper in hand and he said, “Vincent Porter, 10th grade, class B.” When he looked around he found that both Vincent and Anna were missing.
