Though the guy tried to make himself believe he could do it, he was not very sure of his action, as he had never killed someone in his life, and his movements look kind of weird, which brought slowness to his attack.
“Thar!”
Emily shouted and raised her right hand towards the guy running towards Thar’s side. The guy's movements suddenly got slower as if a force was pulling him back.
“I got it.”
Thar murmured coldly and returned to his back swiftly, he was already waiting for something like this to happen. He grabbed his club in a fine grip and then swung it right at the guy’s chest. The guy was in a panic now, he was not expecting things to turn like this. He was so sure that he got the upper hand in the situation, that he was simply going to kill Thar, who felt like a wild beast in front of him right now, and going to continue his life in a better position.
“Roy, help…”
But the end of the sentence never came. The last thing he saw was the merciless eyes of Thar. The club met with his sword which he had hardly brought in front of him for defence from his attacking stance. The sword he held in front of him in a sloppy manner was not going to stop Thar’s attack.
By the sheer amount of power of the Thar’s swing, the sword was not able to do anything and just moved together with the club as the club pushed it down towards the guy’s chest. The sword delved into the flesh and stuck inside and the club crushed his ribs. The guy flew off with the impact and crashed to the wall, then fell to the ground face down. The blood started to flow out from his motionless body and spread on the ground slowly.
Everyone looked at the body that lay on the ground without any movement. Kaan was sure he was already dead, as he literally heard the sound of broken bones. He had to be so lucky to survive a fine hit from Thar.
‘So, he was just an idiot in the end.’
Kaan’s focus on him quickly disappeared, no need to give attention to someone more than their worth and gave a glance at Emily’s side. Her power was much more interesting than what had happened in front of him. He tried to understand what it could be but needed a bit more observation.
Roy looked at his friend’s dead body on the ground in great disbelief, he was not expecting him to attack the group as their only duty was to protect the ration. He quickly moved towards his side in a rush. Roy didn’t want to believe that his friend was dead but when he grabbed his limp body and saw his caved-in chest with a sword buried inside, he had to accept the reality that he was gone. He turned towards Thar in a rage and shouted with a deep grudge.
“You… you fucker! How can you… I, I’ll tear your body apart, ARGRH!”
He began to growl toward the end of his sentence as his body began to distort and stretch. He was transforming rather quickly, Kaan could already see that his face had changed to an animal's, yet still, he just looked like a human with a maw. One of his arms was now covered in grey fur and a nasty claw was scratching the ground, his arm got larger towards the claw. At the end of his transformation, he was not fully a human but not fully the thing he was transforming.
His eyes were vertical with green pupils, and his ears which became pointy and got wider were replaced to the top of his head. One of his arms was fully transformed while the other’s only nails got longer and sharper. His body was larger and taller but not that much. He also got significantly hairier. He looked wilder and more dangerous as he growled towards Thar’s side.
“Let me handle this one, you took care of that shirtless one.”
Kaan told the group pointing to the abomination.
“Will you be able to handle him alone?”
Emily asked and Kaan just gave her a reassuring smile. Seeing Kaan was calm with a light smile on his face as he moved the abomination’s side, Emily’s worries were mostly gone but she felt a little strange when he looked into his eyes, they felt so… empty.
No excitement, no fear, no rage nor any stress as if it was an endless void, the more she looked into the depthless abyss it made her depart from the moment as darkness which appeared from nowhere surrounded her body. She felt as if she was sucked by this void and averted her eyes.
The darkness was gone, and she once again regained her perception of her surrounding, yet she felt that the uneasiness followed her from the void. She was unsure if she wanted to know what it was or not, and just wondered what kind of guy Kaan was a little bit more. Yet it was not time to share their stories. She looked at the shirtless guy and got ready, they need to finish what they had started.
Kaan had already opened the skill [I See The Worst] as he moved slowly towards the abomination, the abomination began to run towards the group side after his transformation was over, so he gripped his bat tightly and rushed to meet him. The abomination was holding his clawed arm on the front threateningly and the arm holding the sword was lightly at his back.
When Kaan came into range, he quickly swung the sword at Kaan and the moment his hand began to move Kaan reacted and sidestep the incoming attack then counter-attacked with his bat and hit his arm. The abomination growled angrily and seeing the calm face with a light smile on his opponent’s face just fed his rage. He advanced towards him with his claw but again Kaan just sidestepped.
After their first change of attacks, Kaan was mostly passive. Thanks to [I See The Worst] he was able to dodge the attacks and every second it was analyzing his opponent. Kaan just dodged or redirected when the abomination attacked with his sword as for the claw attack he just dodged because if the abomination grabbed the bat, he would be weaponless.
The abomination didn’t give Kaan any openings after the first counterattack, but whenever he attacked with his claw it took longer for him to recover his stance and from this, Kaan got three good hits on his transformed arm though it didn’t seem to be doing too much damage.
Roy was getting frustrated as he was not able to land a hit on this fucking guy in front of him. Every time he felt like he was going to catch him, but he just reacted too quickly as if he was foreseeing his attacks. It was enough, he needed to kill this bug quickly so he could maul that killer and take his friend's revenge before he hit his limit.
Kaan saw the guy moving swiftly a few steps back. The abomination dropped his sword to the ground and then howled loudly. The other hand also began to transform quickly, and his teeth got sharper and longer, now with a much-defined maw sticking out from his face. He looked at Kaan with bloodthirsty eyes, baring his teeth which were hungry for flesh like a rabid animal. The abomination ran towards Kaan's side on all fours, grasped in his rage and bloodlust. The more he turned into the thing he transformed the more he lost it, yet he was unaware of it.
The moment he began to run towards Kaan on all fours, Kaan saw that the guy was going to jump at him as the skill analyzed he was most probably going to use his maw as his primary weapon and quickly played possible worst scenarios in his mind. Kaan quickly got his stance and held the bat in front of him.
Focusing on the abomination rushing towards his side with a wide-open mouth filled with wicked teeth, Kaan adjusted his stance with the bath raised next to his chest and inhaled deeply. Now the abomination analysed enough, Kaan was able to see through everything about him.
He saw every muscle movement on his body, how fast he was going to attack and calculated when he was going to attack, where he was going to target and how strong would be to attack. The fight was to the advantage of Kaan because even if the abomination had anything else on his hand his mind was grasped by the bloodlust of his transformation. He was nothing more than a mere beast which moved with instincts.
The abomination jumped into the air, aiming at Kaan's vulnerable throat. When the wide-open maw got close enough, he swung the bat with everything he had. With the impact, the abomination was driven away towards the ground and tried to claw Kaan’s arm while flying off. Kaan saw the incoming claw to his right arm after the hit, but even though he was able to realize it he was not fast enough the pull it back without any damage. The claw cut him from his elbow to his wrist, it was not too deep yet still painful. It was a good trade for Kaan.
Now the abomination was on the ground, Kaan quickly ran towards the sword he left on the ground The abomination quickly shook himself off and ignored the pain on his head and the dripping blood from the impact and ran behind Kaan. When Kaan reached the sword, the abomination was already back on his fours and running towards Kaan.
Kaan turned around and once again wait for him to get close, when the abomination reached him to attack, he threw the bat on his face. The abomination quickly reacted and grabbed the bat but then saw the incoming sword which targeted his face and raised his claw to block it, yet he was slow to react. The sword cut his hand and then reached to his face, claiming his right eye. The abomination shouted in pain grabbing his bloody eye, he felt dizzy as his vision was reduced to only one eye. Kaan quickly kicked the abomination who cried out in pain and made him roll on the ground.
‘Time to finish this meaningless fight.’

This fight was simply over for a long while for Kaan, the guy in front of him writhing in pain was unaware that Kaan had the upper hand in the fight for a long while, he was also not fully grasped the control of whatever his skill was from what Kaan could see yet still the abomination fought as he had already won the fight even before it started. Just making things easier for Kaan. So now, Kaan moved towards the vulnerable abomination crying and grunting in pain with the bloody sword in his hand.
Roy felt everything was wrong. He had to be able to kill this guy easily but now he was on the ground, wincing in pain with lost eyes. When he looked at the face of and when he saw the emotionless, he felt unbearable fear get him into its grasp. He had to run, or he was going to die, his mind was warning him. But suddenly he felt that his hand began to distort and get weaker.
‘God damn it, no, not now!’
But the system was not going to listen to his pleas. His transformation came to an end, and he lay down on the ground with an exhausted and beaten-up body as his executioner walked towards his body with the same light smile on his face from the beginning of the fight.
“Don’t you move an inch if you still value your life.”
Seeing those hallow eyes looking down at him with a bloody sword dripping his own blood, Roy lay down limply right there, ready to listen to every word coming from Kaan's mouth for a chance to survive.

The shirtless guy gave a discontent looking at the dead body and the transforming Roy, but he also pushed himself to the front and got his sword ready, targeting Emily with a sinister smile. He was happy at least they got a female in their group, and she exactly looked like how their leader wanted them. He slowly walked towards their side.
Dean and Thar quickly got ready for the conflict and Emily gathered all of her focus. The shirtless man suddenly began to run towards their side. He was very fast; Emily quickly reacted and used her skill [Force of Mind] to slow him down but even with it his speed only decreased to his normal level.
Thar quickly dashed and Dean, though kind of awkwardly, followed with determination in his eyes. They quickly exchanged attacks, Thar would attack, and the guy would deflect it or simply sidestep and then counterattack if he could. After Thar Dean would attack to not give the guy window of attack by keeping him constantly busy.
Emily quickly understood that this guy was not like the one they took care of. The shirtless guy was calm and knew how to fight, he was not directly facing Thar because he couldn’t keep up with his power and saw that Dean was not fully in the mentality of someone ready to kill another, so he was targeting him, the one who he labelled as weak in his mind.
Also, he was constantly moving around to decrease the effectiveness of Emily’s skill and wasn’t giving a chance for any of the two to move into a position where they could attack together at the same time thanks to his skill. But she knew that they were going to win because simply they got the number advantage.
The fight between them continued for a while, Thar was able to land a hit on the guy’s free arm, but then Emily saw that something began to glimmer on the shirtless guy sword-holding hand. She felt drawn by this crimson light and couldn’t avoid her eyes from looking at it and when she came to her senses and tried to avoid looking at it, she was already grasped by its effects. Emily felt thoughts begin to infiltrate her mind, she heard heart-wrenching screams reverberating on her head and this caused her to lose focus on her skill.
With this opportunity, the shirtless guy lunged towards Thar with regained speed and his sword met with the club in the air then he quickly kicked Thar’s leg. Thar didn’t try to dodge, as he wouldn’t be able to, and attempted to grab the incoming kick. Thar was not able to do that and got kicked on his leg, but it was enough to gather all of the shirtless guy's attention on him.
The shirtless guy was taken aback by Thar’s attempt to grab his leg but then saw the Dean nearly right behind him, ready to attack. He cursed and thought about repositioning himself, but Thar was not going to give him this chance and suddenly push forwards with the club, so the shirtless guy was not able to break their clash of weapons.
Dean had a very good opportunity to land a clean hit but for one second, he hesitated as the thought of attempting to kill someone was a very novel and weird idea to accept, and in this second of hesitation, the shirtless guy kicked Thar and this time with a clean hit on his knee Thar's balance was off and fell to his knee.
After that shirtless guy quickly turned around quickly to meet with Dean’s sword. Their sword clashed again and again, Dean was able to hold on well for a while without Thar, but the guy began to suppress him with his speed and then with a kick to his stomach, sent Dean to the ground.
Dean felt his abdomen churn with the pain and wanted to vomit but held it in and tried to ignore it. He cursed himself for wasting the opportunity Thar created for himself, but he didn’t even have time to blame himself as the guy continued to strike him with his sword. His vicious eyes were looking down at him as if he were laughing at him for being an idiot.
Dean quickly raised his sword to welcome the incoming attack, their sword clashed in the air. The shirtless guy once again swung to sword towards Dean's chest and again Dean was able to defend himself against him, but he was not sure how long he would be able to hold the shirtless guy as he was in a disadvantageous position on the ground. Thanks to Thar being able to gather himself quickly and dashing towards his side, the guy let him go with a kick which Dean blocked with his arm.
Thar and the shirtless guy once again exchanged clashes, and though both of them were not able to create dominance in the fight, Thar was getting kicked or punched because he couldn't keep up with his speed. But then suddenly, the shirtless guy once again felt the force weighing him down but this time it was much greater.
He was unsure how she got there, he thought she had to be out of the fight for longer, but he saw the woman standing one meter far from him. He cursed and tried to move away but Thar quickly attacked with the opportunity. When their weapons met in the air, the shirtless guy felt he was being suppressed by Thar’s attack. He felt his arms were going to give in and quickly deflect the club to the ground. His sword hit the ground and with the recoil of the hit, he felt his grip get weaker, but he didn’t let go of his sword.
With the opportunity Thar let go of his club and quickly held the guy from the hand he was holding the sword. At that point, the shirtless guy saw there was no point in holding his sword and also let his sword go and grabbed Thar by his neck then both of them fell to the ground.
They kicked and punched and even bite each other, doing anything that hurt the other party; Thar punched the guy in the face and the guy tried to reach for his eyes, but Thar didn’t give him that chance and pulled his face away. So, the shirtless guy nailed his face. After a while, Thar was able to get the Shirtless guy under him as he was stronger than him. Thar quickly aimed at his neck and surrounded his hands around it. Without any mercy and holding nothing back, only one of them was going to live, and it was going to be him.
The shirtless guy also reached to Thar's neck and tried to push him away under his chin as Thar strangled him. Emily had already stopped using her skill and now seeing the guy trying to break Thar's neck, she lost it and she let go of any moral left in her, it was not going to help the person she loved dearly, and grasped the madness of the situation.
She quickly reached the two and surrounded her arms around the shirtless guy’s neck in a neck lock. The guy tried to bite Emily’s arm but Thar kept him in the place. The shirtless guy suddenly began to shout as he felt he was going to die and tried to do something but with Thar and Emily's power combined his shout didn't live long and a cracking sound of bones declared this conflict’s winners. At that moment Thar and Emily looked each other, both of them breathing heavily as they hold the body of the man they killed in a savage and primal way.
***
When Kaan was over with the abomination the fight on the other side escalated quickly, thanks to [I See The Worst] he also knew how things were on their side. When he turned around Thar and the shirtless guy was fighting for their life on the ground. It was very messy as both tried to kill each other with bare hands, their nails dug into their flesh to drag blood but Thar got the upper hand. Emily was rather quick to react as she got the guy in the neck lock then with their combined power the fight ended.
Kaan saw Thar let go of the dead body quickly and reached for Emily. He dragged her off a little and hugged her, whispering things into her ear while caressing her hair lightly. Emily hugged back to him tightly but didn’t look like she needed someone to comfort her for what happened.
She tried to get over the shock that came with killing someone in such a primitive way and looked happy that they were okay, yet she still very much appreciated Thar being close to her, alive and she didn’t want to think anything else right now. Both got up after a few seconds to look at Kaan’s side to see how he was doing and got rather relieved as they were so focused on their enemy that they were not able to check how it was going.
“Are you alright?”
Kaan asked while checking the team. Dean was already getting up and coming closer to their side. He looked a little beaten up, but it was expected. Thar had also taken damage on his body but nothing serious sort and Emily was OK.
“Yes, yes we are. It was just… harder than I thought it would be.”
Emily answered Kaan’s question as she continued to look at the body with a broken neck. She was still grasped in the strangeness of killing someone but in the end, she knew what they did was for good. He had to be gone or he would continue butchering people. Then her eyes fell on the wound on Kaan’s arm.
“Damn it, you’re wounded Kaan. Are you alright?”
Emily asked worriedly looking at the blood dripping to the ground from the wound.
“Nothing that deep, no need to worry about it.”
Kaan said raising his arm to show them it was not that deep.
“Still let’s bandage it. Dean, what about, you good?”
Thar said looking at Dean. Thar looked indifferent to the situation as if it were a normal thing like Kaan. He had no remorse, he did what needed to be done and he even had the satisfaction of at least he was able to take revenge for those unfortunate souls, and the only thing he felt bad about was that he was not able to finish it quickly which caused Emily to get involved in the messy part.
Dean gave him a thumbs up with a smile on his face, though he could still feel the effect of the kick on his abdomen area, everything was good considering what could have been because he hesitated.
Thar nodded and reached for his bag for bandages, but his eyes were focused on the abomination lying on the ground with a bleached face which came with watching the shirtless guy’s death.
“Alright, then what are we going to do with him?”
Thar said pointing to the abomination’s side. Thar didn’t regard him on the same level as a human being anymore and if it were up to him, he wouldn’t let him live any more seconds.
“He’s in no condition of doing anything and I’ve got some questions. I’m sure he will gladly answer them for us.”
Kaan said with a mild voice and Emily had the same mindset. It was an opportunity to see what kind of madman was causing this.
Seeing the eyes of everyone falling down on him, the abomination felt like the gazes were piercing him, especially the eyes of the guy who cut his eye. He could still see a light smile on his face and his eyes were opening into the void, the abomination gulped in fear, which grasped him more tightly every passing second, for what was about to come.
