Voraci was in a fairly deep hole, where there used to be a clearing in the middle of the forest. Obviously, it was her doing. Voraci had eaten all the grass, and a ton of dirt, and a bit of bacteria.

Voraci poked her eyes and head up, the words were in her head and not close to physical but it was an involuntary reaction. Voraci only needed one more upgrade in color change to get a new node! She still didn’t understand why they were called nodes.

Voraci looked up and out of the hole at one of the tall, lush trees. There wasn’t any grass or dirt left in the hole, so she had to look outwards. Sure she could eat more dirt, but eating something new sounded better. So, trees!

Voraci dropped her weight with weight control and jumped up the wall of the pit. Only a few of her legs were able to get out of the pit but that was enough to pull herself out, even with the grass trying to poke her back into the pit.

Voraci looked at the delicious tree in front of her. She brandished her jaw, along with the mandibles on her sub-mouth. She stepped towards the tree and snapped both closed.

Before Voraci could chop through the tree, a bright light enveloped her. She suddenly could feel that she wasn’t as near to the tree as she once was.

The tree had exploded.

The. Tree. Had. Exploded.

Voraci didn’t know much about trees, but she knew that things didn’t just explode randomly.

Voraci felt her physical resistance help her from instantly dying to the explosion, but she still got hurt from the heat of the explosion. Voraci recovered herself and looked back at the tree. Now, the tree was a burnt out, not as delicious looking husk with chunks blown out of it.

Voraci walked back up to the burnt tree and braced herself in case there was another explosion. She bit into the bark and it, thankfully, didn’t explode. It tasted alright, better than rocks and dirt at least. She took four large bites out of the tree as it started to tip over. The tree landed with a thud, ash blowing out of it. Voraci suddenly heard the boring words once again.

Due to having 15 {Color change} you have gained a reward, {Out-body imbuement (color)} and {multicolor}

{out-body imbuement (color)}: Allows you to change the color of nearby materials.

{multicolor}: allows you to have multiple different colors on you at the same time in different places. You can only have (# of Color change aspect) divided by five disconnected colors.

Voraci wondered, she couldn’t do that already? Well, she knew she couldn’t use the imbuement before she gained this, but she needed to use a special node to have multiple colors on her body? She hadn’t thought of it before, but honestly, she didn’t mind. She had it now!

Voraci looked back at herself now. Yes, she was definitely bigger. She wasn’t sure how summon explosive would work

Voraci paused what she was doing. The yelling words were ‘back’? Where did they go? Why? They could leave? Why for... 'was it 3 days?' Voraci hadn't paid attention to the sky. All very interesting thoughts, but it explained why she was left with the other, not yelling ones.

Oh. Oh! Of course, this was Voraci’s god. She understood… sort of? She didn’t really know what she could do with this information, but it was probably good to know.

Voraci looked back at the charred tree. Voraci would like to eat the other trees, but there was a high risk that they would also explode. However, this one had not shown the possibility of exploding again. So she would eat the entirety of this one, including the parts that had flown away because of the explosion.

Voraci todded over to the fallen tree and took a few more bites. While she was eating, though, she decided to try out summon explosive. Far in front of Voraci and the tree, a pile of dull red dust appeared. Voraci felt in her mind as…

summon explosive went on cooldown? That was strange, nothing else had done that. Well, technically the acid spit on her back had a cooldown, but that was a body part that released material. Obviously it needed to recharge.

Voraci took another bite of the tree and looked back up at the dust while chewing. Another thing she felt in her mind was a detonation button! Voraci backed up a bit from the dark pink dust, grabbing a piece of tree to chew along the way. Voraci activated the button and…

A small fire lit where Voraci had summoned the dust. The dust didn’t instantly vanish, but it seemed to burn up quickly. Voraci was slightly… disappointed. But still, she only had one copy of the aspect, so it might get stronger.

Voraci went back up to the ashen tree and continued eating.
