Voraci was sort of angry at the boring words, the yelling one was fun at least, but the boring one had lied. Not in the technical definition of a lie, but it hadn’t told her everything! It said she could use the “out-body imbuement (weight)” thing to transfer her weight into things, but she could take weight out of things!
She had gained so much weight from this, and that was great, but… the boring words had still lied so she was a bit mad. Voraci picked up another rock and sucked all of the weight out of it. She threw it VERY lightly once gravity stopped affecting it and it flew down the tunnel and presumably into her starting cave. The amount of weight she got from one rock turned out to be a bit more than she would have gotten from just eating it because she had started needing to eat more rocks to get one upgrade.
Voraci punched through a huge amount of rocks and pulled herself up the tunnel, pulling the mass out of the surrounding rocks. She noticed, though, that she had reached another type of rock. It was strange. Layered? She clawed at it lightly and a chunk of it broke off. Voraci picked it up and realized that it was light, much lighter than the other rocks she saw. She ate it.
I WASss READING THOUGHT, HE HE HE HE. YOU WANT LIGHT? I GIVE
{Weight increase} (16 owned) and {Weight decrease} (1 owned) combine into {weight control} (17).
Voraci felt her weight go back down to its normal level, minus the weight she had gained from the imbuement. She felt another thing she could do as she increased her total weight again. ‘That was pretty good,’ Voraci thought, ‘Maybe the boring words aren’t too bad, I mean, it gave me weight control!’ She continued thinking as She ripped through the strange rocks. Voraci stopped clawing as she came upon a strange, off-white material.
BONE?!?! WHY BONE HEREs?
Voraci decided not to break the bone, not yet. She didn’t know what it was, other than bones, but it was very interesting. She also noted that she could see now, if only slightly. Voraci pulled out more of the light-weight rocks around the bone until a defined structure started taking shape, some strange animal. She didn’t totally know what an animal was other than the general shape.
As Voraci pulled the rock away. The bone, which was supported by the rock, fell away. Voraci thought, ‘shouldn’t this have deteriorated?’ She did know what deterioration was, things breaking. She pulled away from the final bone as it fell out, a skull. She didn’t know much about that either.
Voraci pushed at the skull. It didn’t respond, so Voraci decided she would go back down the tunnel she had dug. At that moment however, it responded. The bones lept together, forming into something. It was bigger than Voraci, she could tell that she and it were both fairly small though. It had two, three toed feet, and It was a long animal. In front of it were two small arms, and a sharp toothed jaw.
ASsSKED JOHN, VELOSssARAPTOR
A velociraptor. Voraci looked into its skull, its eyes were purple, glowing and illuminating the cave. Its body was glowing too, though much softer than the eyes. She could sense hostility emanating from the velociraptor as it stalked towards her. Voraci decided at that moment that the tunnels she dug were far too big, and should have just been form fitting. The velociraptor lunged towards her, going at comparatively incredible speeds. The skeleton missed, crashing into one of the walls of the curved tunnel.

Voraci moved further out of the way, dipping most of her weight quickly into the rock, along with lowering it using weight control, so she could move quicker. She moved her weight from the rock below to the rock behind her and pushed all but one of her legs off the rock, using the last one to suck the weight back up.
She curled into a ball to protect from the impact. A clatter ran out as she felt the skeleton’s body and then the wall. She poked her eyes out of her shell but saw the skeleton scattered on the floor.
IT GONNA GET UUUP! AGAIN!! EEAT!
Voraci jumped back up. She quickly walked over and pulled a bone into her mouth.
YOU WANT SOME POWER OF THE VELOSRAPTOR? YOU GET TWOOOooo (THREEEE MAYBE?} FROM IT!
‘I want it’s speed, it was… very fast’
FASssT!
Voraci felt the new power in her. She shot out her sub-mouth and picked up some more pieces of bone. It was definitely faster.
MORE FASssT?
She decided not. Their ability to glow was definitely what interested her, she wanted to see sooner rather than later, and using the bones as a torch probably wouldn’t work.
GLOOOOW!
A small, pinprick sized hole was quickly ripped open, just below her eyes. A new layer of a transparent material wrapped spherically over the pinpricks as light began emanating from it. She got a good look at the remainders of the skeleton and the dull gray walls. It was a bit underwhelming in terms of luminosity, but it was something.
Voraci tested a bit of the lights, and yes, she could control it. She could dim it, concentrate it into a beam, ‘transfer’ all of the light in one to another, making it brighter. She could control the color, purple like the skeleton, a dim white, even infrared and ultraviolet colors. She couldn’t see those colors but she could tell she was emitting them.
Before she could test more, the velociraptor skeleton jumped back up. In fact, it got up two times, and on the first it fell over. On the second, however, it compensated for the weight of the missing ribs and leg sections.
Voraci looked at the skeleton hop around and quickly redid the ramming attack, but the velociraptor dodged. It returned the attack to her by letting go of some more ribs, shifting to be almost directly on top of its one leg. It hopped towards the pile of ribs, bouncing away from it and sending them out as projectiles.
Voraci quickly responded by pulling herself into a ball. The projectiles grazed off of her except for one which lodged itself in between one of her carapace plates. She keeled over in pain, her legs closer to the hit buckling as she lost concentration. Voraci pushed her legs back to normal as a thick substance started coming out of the wound.
Voraci stumbled against a wall then readied a jump. She felt the liquid trailing behind her as she did yet another attack and rammed straight into the head of the skeleton. Its skull shattered as Voraci felt the enemy’s rib dislodge from her flesh because of the impact.
Voraci still felt the pain, but it was more manageable without the rib stuck there, and the wound was clotting, it seemed. She walked over to the broken skull of the skeleton and bashed the pieces with her sub-mouth, the whole skull was still indigestible due to its size.
She pulled the skull’s pieces into her mouth and continued onto the ribs, which could be eaten easily without crushing, along with the arms. Eventually she ate the entire skeleton.
GOOOOOoooD JOB! WHAT WANT?
Voraci replied, she wanted more speed.
YES, YES, FASTER!!!!
Voraci Felt as she suddenly felt the strength enter her body. Voraci decided to try her speed on the wall that she was digging through before. She made a huge dent in it but suddenly felt most of her weight leave her body. Oh of course, she needed to bring the rocks at the bottom area of the tunnel up. Or eat them!
