Voraci entered the wooden building, but noted something about the doors. The inside of the doors had two handles, one on each side. A lightbulb lit up in Voraci’s head, perhaps she could stick a log into that area… she ran outside, cut down a tree, and got a log.
There was only one large, double door on the building. There weren’t even windows! but if she blocked the door, there would only be one way in, one that she made! And it would be on the roof!
Voraci had enough power to get up to the roof of the building, from the inside or the outside. Really quickly, though, she activated the dash and rocketed through the roof, tearing a hole in it. She looked down the hole and summoned a ton of explosive dust in positions she couldn’t see from here.
The dust that she summoned appeared a much brighter shade of pink this time around, probably because of the upgrades.
Voraci hopped down from the roof and hid in a pile of some long, thin, yellow sticks. She didn’t identify them as straw, but to be fair, she had never seen straw before.
A few minutes later, the adventurers arrived at the building. “Wh- why would somebody make, well, anything out of wood!? This was a farm as well so they totally had those material animals!” They laughed.
It was true, the farm did have some animals. They escaped far before Voraci had arrived though.
They continued laughing until they suddenly heard a pained voice.
“HEEeellpp!!!” it choked out, with rhythmic clicks all the while. The humans didn’t notice the oddity, “The door is blocked from the inside, go through the roof! Be quick! There’s something in here with me!” the hoarse man’s voice yelled.

“Uh, umm, I-” one of the humans yelped, “o- okay! We’re going to help!” he said. The humans all made a grunting noise at the same time for some reason then started climbing the building. As Voraci had expected they stopped at the top before jumping down.
“O-okay guys, you ready guys?” one asked, they traded some words but ended up jumping in all the same. As soon as Voraci heard the thump, she scuttered all the way up the wall and to the roof.
“You’ve been fooled!” Voraci yelled in a clown voice, “Now you will all explode!” she said. Before the humans could get another word in, she activated all of the explosives. In an instant, the humans flew up and out of the barn through the roof. Voraci was surprised that they had survived at all, but then she noticed that one was missing, no, it had been turned into a red mist.
A red mist that looked delicious.
The humans flew up into the air until they started plummeting back down. Another human died on impact, but there were still two alive.
The wooden barn had also been blown to bits, but it had served its purpose, so it didn’t matter.
The humans were wearing multi-colored military gear, the one that had fallen to death was wearing blue, while the ones alive wore orange and green. Calling back her memory to when she had first seen these humans, the one that was obliterated had been wearing yellow.
“AAGH!” the green one screamed when it had impacted the floor. “What is that thing!?”
“I HAVE NO IDEA!!” the orange one yelled, seemingly terrified. Before they could react, Voraci spat a blob of high density acid at green.
“No no please!” the green one whimpered out, but the orange one was somehow able to block the projectile with a magical shield. Voraci could do this, even if orange could block her shots.
“It’s acid!” orange reported, “You can’t get hit kyle!”
“Yeah, I wasn’t planning to,” the green one retorted, “The bug thing is shooting again!”
The green one was correct, and Voraci shot again, only to be dodged by both of them. ‘Are my tells that obvious?’ she thought.
“Shoot for the crack in the armor!” the green one continued. Voraci heard and saw them pull out metal sticks, guns. This was one of the main dangers of humans, a strong ranged weapon that could fire rapidly.
These ones didn’t look right to Voraci though, and she would be right. They were flintlocks. Humans couldn’t fully recreate firearms after three whole months, especially since they were constantly in battles.
Voraci quickly projected part of her carapace over the crack, and focused all tons of weight onto it. The bullet impacted, but didn’t do much.
But suddenly, a spear made of stone punctured straight through her brain.
