VERSE EIGHT: LET’S JUST GET ALONG

I, Ilios, Fengari and Cunzai presently facing the wall as our punishment. We just got out of the Vice Priestess office after a long discussions and sermon. Its natural when you fight for three straight hours and have no choice but to have a teacher intervene. Of course I didn’t participate but as the subject of their fight, I am counted to be punished as well.

Ilios: It’s this bastards fault! If only he hadn’t show up, then things will just go smoothly like always.

Cunzai: What?! Now YOU’RE blaming me?? Isn’t this your fault in the first place? If only-

Fengari: stop now. Do you want the teacher to punish us further? Though, MY twin is absolutely right about you being at fault.

Cunzai: You little!

Daina: Okay, that’s enough. I think we are all at fault here. First, I want to say sorry to you Cunzai, I am truly embarrassed.

Cunzai: Ugh, well… I guess I should say sorry to you as well. It’s not your fault really. And now, you even get tangled to our fight.

Ilios: Cunzai is right, Daina! Don’t apologize! It’s totally his fault though.

Daina: *sigh* You guys- Let’s just stop this. I think it’s not nice for us to treat each other this way. There is only four of us in this generation. Meaning there will be a long time that we will be together. And I promise you it won’t just be a few years. We are divylitis, we should uphold to the meaning of our race, peace.

Long silence followed after my speech. Sigh, of course it’s just a farce for me to stop their childish claims. It’s kind of them to care for me but sometimes I just wish them to get along instead of quarrel about me.

Fengari: Since it’s you lil’ sister, we will listen. You always act mature unlike us who always react to every lil’ thing. But the reason we were doing this is because we just want to protect you as your sisters.

Ilios: That’s right! We can’t afford any harm come into you.

Cunzai: I don’t mean any harm! I will never hurt a woman especially Daina so stop your petty accusations.

Fengari: It’s not just an accusation. Don’t tell me you didn’t have any thoughts about ‘other’ things? You can’t fool us. We know you’ve been eyeing her since the beginning. But since Daina want us to get along somehow, then we have no choice aside to endure. Just keep in mind that we were keeping an eye on you.

Ilios: Totally! So be grateful!

I don’t really care what they’re talking about but now they’re at it again… haah… Good thing the twin compromise in one way or another.

A sudden claps startled all of us coming from behind. When I turn around I saw the head priestess Jaunava at the door elegantly clapping her hands together with a small smile in her face. She clearly heard our conversation based on her expression. Now, isn’t eavesdropping a crime? She motions us to relax and sit in the couches. No doubt this woman in front of us is strong. Even though I lack force ability, I can still perceive people around me, or in a better term sense them. Not noticing her presence were clearly enough to prove my assumptions correct.

I’m glad my training with mother somehow paid off by developing this skill. However, it’s pretty useless if you can’t sense those who are stronger than you.

Jaunava: Honestly, I don’t know just what to do to all of you. It’s been two years already when you start your learning here yet you are still hostile with each other. But I am glad to see young Daina here mediate and put you all together.,. What she says has truth in it and we should uphold the meaning of our existence.

Daina: *mutter* I don’t really mean that…. Eh? Does that mean they are like this since that time?  Ahem- I mean, it’s only the right thing to do head priestess. As you can see, we want to refresh our friendship. I hope you can let us go for now as we have learned our lesson.

Jaunava: *chuckle* Very well… I longed to see that refreshed friendship of you children. You may go now.

I hurriedly got up in my feet. I can feel there’s more reason why she is here aside from seeing how we are doing and I am hundred percent sure it is about me. Sadly, because I am technically slow and clumsy, Jaunava manage to catch my arm before I can manage to take my third step.

Jaunava: *smile* All of you may go for now. Daina and I still have something to talk about.
