Insomnia
When I finished telling my story, everyone was sitting down paying great attention to what I was saying, because they were interested in everything that had happened during that time. I was still standing near the fireplace finishing telling what happened, I no longer wanted to continue doing this any longer than it already was.
"After that, I was wandering in the tunnels for another couple of months because it took me a long time to make another map with what I remembered and going back to look for the correct tunnel."
"After I found him again, I had to prepare myself well because it was a rather long trip, so food would be a problem"
"And although thanks to the time I was with Luna I gain confidence in how to deal with little dragons, always try to maintain a safety margin"
"But even if I tried to get enough food, I could only get for about four days, of a trip that would take me at least 2 weeks, so I had to make another difficult decision"
"Betting everything on a one-way trip, through a tunnel that I knew nothing about, would only take me to the origin of everything and where maybe my salvation or my death could be"
"But in the end, I succeeded, otherwise I would not be here talking" I told my audience trying to finally finish my narration.
"Later on I realized that if I managed to make a special kind of dragon, a breeder would eat the gem maybe I would make her revive from one of her eggs"
"But even if I spent the rest of the war searching for one of those, I didn't get the chance. Well, they were well protected within enemy territory, and they were also targets for immediate elimination"
"So I decided to keep the gem and take care of it, maybe take it to one place or another to try to fulfill the promise I made to her." I told my audience trying to finally finish my narration.
When I finished speaking Tamamo approached me and hugged me, she had a sad look in her eyes, but she didn't say anything. Momo, despite her and knowing the story, you could still see that she was dissatisfied with the ending. My mother was talking to Maria because she was crying because she was the most surprised to hear that not always the "hero of history" wins the battles, that there can also be horrible defeats.
"Then his soul is locked in the gem?" asked my mother.
"The truth, I don't know" I answered
"Like Nanami, the angels have not been able to find her"
"But personally I would like to think that yes, she is most likely trapped in this gem"
"So I want to treat her as best as possible"
"If the conflict reaches such a scale, it seems impossible for anyone to know that such an event occurred"
"Why is there no record or proof that such a war happened?" She asked again
"Well, I don't want to get too technical with what happened, so the summary could say that the dragons when they lost the war were completely eliminated from the earth"
"Probably the only evidence that existed are these gems and the body that I now possess"
"Even if I tried my best to figure out how the gem works, we can't understand Luna's core.
"So it is impossible for the angels to know how to bring Luna back without the use of a dragon breeder, which is now extinct" The transparent angel also joined the conversation
After that, Maria got up now with resolution on her face, took the black book that she had near her and began to speak as well.
"What if we try to use magic to bring her back?"
"There must be some spell somewhere that can help us!" she said as she went through the pages of her book anxiously
"Wait a minute!" Tama said as she took the book from Maria's hands
"Several of these spells I know!"
"These are truly dangerous spells!"
"How did you get something like this?"
"I don't think magicians publish books for everyone"
"Well it's old but I found an archive of this book years ago on the internet"
"But do you mean it's a real magic book?" My sister asked happily when she heard the goddess talk about the book that had caused her so much embarrassment.
"What is the internet?"
"Is it close to here? I would like to visit that store if possible" once again the lack of modern knowledge caused problems for my wife.
"It is very difficult to explain"
"Perhaps the easiest way would be to try to say that it is a library with a lot of information that almost anyone can access with a tool" The crystal girl tried to give a quick example so that Tamamo understood more or less what my sister was talking about.
"I don't think magic works, because dragons were very suspicious of angels, so they trusted their bodies and evolutions more"
"If there was a way to get her out of there, that was probably lost with them"
"So it's much more complicated than it already was" my sister said with disappointment.

Despite the suddenness of Momo's arrival, I like how she is calm with the others and how they treat her as if she was also with us for quite some time. Momo is quite reluctant to how people will treat her because of her appearance, but she is also aware that although my mother and my sister try to give it importance, you can see that they stare at her a lot, but she understands that it is normal because I just recently they know her for what she tries to tolerate. Tama, Momo, and my sister were still the three of them trying to see the magic book, when my mother, looking worriedly at the clock on the wall, reminded us that it was already quite late and that we still had to go to school tomorrow morning. what we had to go to sleep now.
"Thanks to Cesar, who didn't say anything about her, we don't have anywhere prepared for Momo to lie down"
"So since you are responsible for that problem, you are going to stay sleeping in the living room until we manage to prepare a place for her to sleep"
"Momo you can sleep next to Tama in the room upstairs, feel free to throw your husband's things in the trash if you need space"
"If you have any complaints about this, Cesar, you can sleep in your own house or on the street"
"It's up to you" said my mother still angry about what happened to the angel
"I had no plans to complain, to begin with" I replied to her
When I'm done talking and getting ready for sleep I went with Momo to show her where she would sleep, then grabbed a pillow and a blanket and went back downstairs to use the sofa as my bed. Although Tama tried to accompany me in the living room, I told her that she better stay in the room, because I don't want to make my mother angrier. Although the Sofa was not as comfortable as the bed, I was still glad not to sleep on the floor, because I had already done that so many times even with a full combat suit that since it was a place to fit and moderately warm it was good for me.
But concerning my desire to sleep it was very different because I had also slept all this week that I even felt bad about having the opportunity to go back to sleep so often. I think that in my unconscious my brain thinks that I do not deserve to go to sleep because something bad could happen, or that someone could need my help at any time and I had to be available immediately. First I tried to do the normal thing, not think about anything, then think of something trivial like what Tama would do tomorrow to torment me at breakfast, or how much I had screwed up with Valentine's gifts. But even so, I was not at all sleepy, in fact, I almost even wanted to go for a run and do a couple of stunts just for the fun of it. So I resorted to slightly more aggressive methods. Since I was a child I always liked to drink chocolate before going to sleep, but when I had difficulty sleeping like now my mother warms it up and adds vanilla along with a couple of marshmallows. So I got up and went to the kitchen to do just that. And even with the cup of hot cocoa almost done, I still didn't have a shred of sleep. But unlike those times where I suffered from nocturnal panic attacks, tonight I was quite relaxed, just not sleepy. At one point I even started looking out the living room window at the street in front just to entertain myself, there was nothing interesting outside, the street was empty, although every once in a while a minivan with people passed by. But although it looked suspenseful after a while it stopped passing and instead a police car began to pass by doing patrol rounds, so it was just nothing other than me being paranoid.
When it was eleven o'clock at night I was still fully awake, and although at first, I tried not to make too much noise around the house so as not to disturb others, I was already sick of my insomnia. So I just turned on the television and started to see what the channels were showing, but I underestimated how really bad Japanese shows are, from the actors overreacted to everything, to the endless talk shows, although that is if you advertise them in the middle. if they were completely unique, they ranged from some of which were more interesting than the shows, to things that were directly "disturbing".
Although after changing the channel for several minutes, I managed to come across a really interesting one. t was about the life of Damien Raven, the head of the I.S.C, from the time his father's store went bankrupt, to how he became one of the richest men on the planet. Although personally, I think the story of my mother's overcoming is more surprising, it is also true that she is not a famous person and also that she wants to stay hidden so they would not make a mini-documentary, but there was a part of the program that was really interesting As they said today, February 14, his wife Rose, the true founder of the I.S.C, died of a sudden heart attack, in her arms during a visit to her hometown, Saint Petersburg. So Damien built there a memorial in honor of his wife and that he was just visiting today, like every year. It even seemed ironic to me everything that had happened since the defeat of the dragons, because during the war against them the I.S.C was a symbol of hope since they were the ones who developed new technologies and weapons to combat those beasts. Rose was even a good friend of mine who helped me a lot, and it was largely thanks to her that we were able to win. She also told me about her husband many times and how they had fallen in love because she loved the protective way Damien treated her. It was thanks to her that I trusted that company so much, but now they are my enemies. And her husband that she loved so much is now my enemy since they decided to hurt my family. I don't know what Damien was thinking when he started doing this after Rose died, but what I'm sure of is that she would never have allowed him to hurt innocent people.
I still felt angry watching TV when something sudden started to happen. From one moment to the next my body began to feel heavy, extremely heavy and almost equally quickly I fell asleep, it was very strange, it was like a sedative, just like the one they put me when I tried to escape from the Alliance. But even though I tried to scream for help, I couldn't do anything and fell down on the couch in the living room.
