Today was a typical Saturday, a quiet and seemingly boring day, just the way I like it. There was nothing planned for today other than lying around staring at the ceiling of my house and that's all I really wanted. The sun cast a warm, gentle glow over our serene neighborhood. There was an undeniable sense of calm in the air, a break from the hustle and bustle of our usual routine. It was the kind of day that invited you to do nothing more than lie back and contemplate life while staring at the ceiling of my cozy home. That was exactly how I had planned to spend my day, and I couldn't have been happier about it.
As I lay there, pondering how best to enjoy this rare moment of peace. But it was at this time while I was thinking about how best to spend my time, two identical faces appeared in my field of view. Kazumi and Charlotte were holding hands, their footsteps silent and synchronized as well they approached to talk to me.
"Dad, it's our turn to have our special day!"
"Dad, we want to have our private date with Dad too!"
"????"
"Excuse me?"

"We have the right to have our day alone with Daddy!"
"A day alone?"

"Really?"
I thought a bit about what the androids were saying, not that I was opposed to the idea of having some quality time alone with them, but rather that they both seemed to want to have a special day with their dad which made me feel excited to see that they seemed to be taking another step towards embracing their own humanity, a concept that had always fascinated me. Thinking a little more about what to do to make this occasion more special than just spending time with them, I stared at their emotionless faces, their gazes fixed on a single point and expressionless, as they seemed to be wondering what my next decision would be, the joints of their bodies once again revealed their synthetic origin. And then it made me remember something, as much as I loved my daughters, they had been artificially created, there was no denying it, it was part of who they were after all, which made me realize something. They were both basically born adults from birth.
From the moment they were activated, they possessed a full awareness of life and an understanding of the world around them, they could never experience a childhood because they were never children to begin with, even if they acted a bit like children right now, even if they acted like young girls, even though they were not even a year old yet, they had never had any chance of having a childhood at all. So, I wanted to do something for them. Now I had a mission to accomplish, I had sworn to them that today I was going to have a day where they would enjoy being kids at least for one day even if it killed me!
"Kazumi, Charlotte, get ready, we are going to play a lot today."
After quickly getting ready we set off down the street. There was a place that I had always wanted to visit and had never been able to throughout my life but I had never been able to,and right now we headed straight there in this case to get even the three of us. A trampoline center, a playground that as you might imagine is full of trampolines to jump on, but that’s not the only thing to do here of course. There are plenty of other fun areas to have a crap ton of fun here until we get tired.

As soon as we arrived the first thing we did was to jump a bit on the trampolines to practice, and with that, it seemed that I had discovered for the first time that the twins really didn't know anything at all. It turns out that although they knew how a trampoline worked, they had no idea how to maneuver on it. They had a hard time trying to do low or even high jumps, and they didn't know how to slow down. I had to teach them that if they wanted to jump higher, they had to do it in sync with the trampoline, and if they wanted to stop the best thing to do was to try to keep their legs upright while landing. It seems that no one had ever thought that two combat androids would ever need to use something as silly as a trampoline, yet in no time at all they quickly learned the basics.

The place was a lot of fun, as it was quite similar to the Dark Cloaks training place, but without the death traps or all this padding instead of sharpness. So much so that I started chaining jumps while jumping between trampolines doing one trick after another. After a bit of fooling around even the managers and employees began jokingly asking me if I were working as an acrobat in a circus or something because they were in awe of my moves. There was also an artificial rock-climbing wall next to a foam pool and I couldn't help but want to climb it. now without the possibility of falling into the void like in Atlantis just because the teacher wanted to try to teach how to respond to unforeseen events or die learning it The twins didn't seem to be very good at it because they weren't designed for such extreme activities either, but after all, this was more of a game with the opportunity to learn as an add-on.

There was also an arcade of retro machines, and boy was I thrilled playing some video games from my childhood. The retro machines, adorned with colorful, pixelated graphics, beckoned me to relive fond memories. The truth is that the day had started out trying to give the twins a day to just be children but at this point, I'm starting to enjoy it like a kid myself! The retro-styled arcade looked really cool to my start-filled eyes. Curiously, the liveliest place was a dance machine, where people tried to get the best score by stepping on the squares on the floor as indicated on the screen, and boy was the competition tough when even youth and adults entered the dance floor. Both androids seemed especially attracted to this one when they saw several children trying to get a turn. They waited patiently until it was their turn and then both entered to use the doubles mode. And the truth is that the two of them, although still with their expressionless faces seemed to be having a great time dancing, because normal people just step on the recommended board, but not the two of them, they directly added more complicated steps and not at all required just to add more style to their new record. The Dolls were really having fun and you could really see it in their moves.

When Kazumi and Charlotte found out that there was a laser tag game, they wanted to play against me, even challenging me to see if the two of them could win in combat. Apparently, their reasoning was that because the environment was with neon lights and I was an albino, no doubt I would clash with the darkness and strong colors. Too bad that basically all of Atlantis was a festival of neon colors, the result? predictable, especially when I started to take it seriously as if I was Rambo in the jungle and I almost even used a flash grenade in the dark place just for the thrill, too bad I didn't have time to use it.
After so many games and activities that had tired even me out, I had at some point felt the need to use up the last of the little pills I had been given when I got out of the hospital, it was time to have a little rest. And what could our inner child not love more than to go to a fast-food restaurant and eat some delicious hamburgers! Because of today's theme, I decided to buy both twins part of the children's menu, the one that included the toy, which this time was a pair of stuffed animals. For my part as an adult and responsible person, I also ordered from the children's menu, also combo 2, and combo 6. I was very hungry from playing so much after all.
While we were walking home, I decided to stop at a park where there was an ice cream truck as I wanted to have a couple of ice creams with them, the perfect backdrop for a quiet moment of shared indulgence. We were all quite happy with how much fun the day had been for all of us. I remembered why I was doing this in the first place and looked at Kazumi and Charlotte, both of them were quite concentrated on eating their ice cream. But for some reason, the image of my father doing the same thing with me when I was still little came to mind.
