KADENA AIR BASE, NAKAGAMI DISTRICT, OKINAWA, JAPAN
JULY 29TH
7:00 AM
My mother called all the officers for a meeting and status report. Despite my tiredness, I got up from my tent to go to the place, when I woke up I noticed that only Momo Tifa and Levia were sleeping. Before going to the room I went to the food area to order some breakfast, they only gave me a bag, a ration of combat food, a MRE, today's food is a beef taco, not that bad, but better than eating undercooked dragon meat. The same package contained, first of all, meat, of course, a couple of tortillas, several Pepperoni Pizza Cheese Crackers, some Peanuts Butter, Mango Prach Applesauce, BBQ Sauce, Orange Beverage Powder as a drink, and finally Apple Jelly for dessert. It also includes a Flameless Ration Heater that works with a little water in case you are in the middle of nowhere and several packets of sugar, candy, a couple of gum for nerves, and the all-important coffee to stay awake.

When I got to the living room I found my mother also eating breakfast with my sister, unlike me she did have real food cooked and she had a cup of black coffee. There were still a few people to arrive so I started to eat as well. Looking around I noticed that Tamamo was not there, Adelis told me that she was with the refugees taking care of people and taking care of the children, also it seems that since she was still wearing her red kimono with white they mistook her for a Miko, and wanted her to participate in a ceremony, so it seems that she will be quite busy. Kasumi also showed up to replace her sister who had been working non-stop since yesterday as the central computer. Charlotte moved from her pedestal and came to sit next to me for a while, I gave her the candy and stroked her head as a reward for her good work, she simply looked at me with a smile, or what would be one with the little they can show despite their lack of emotion, and began to eat the candy.
After a few more minutes everyone finally arrived to begin our meeting. Kasumi, seeing my mother's signal, began to speak.

"They are expected to arrive in the area this afternoon"
"Excellent, it's good to have more support"
"No help is too much right now"
The meeting ended a little later with the rest of the officers deciding what they were going to do today. Kasumi was in charge of assigning me to the team that would accompany me, there were only about 8 of us due to the lack of personnel still present. We went to the armory to get weapons at my suggestion since the objective of the mission was to regain control of the island, so surely a show of force could put everything on rails again in case there is some madman on the loose. I also took a bulletproof vest but I still wore my commander's coat and my officer's cap, to try to continue projecting that aura of respect that I lacked so much. After that to look for our transport, because a lot of helicopters were constantly coming and going, Kasumi informed me that it was the blue one, which at the beginning I did not understand well what she meant, but after seeing it, it was clear to me which one it was.
Stolen story; please report.

A Sikorsky UH-60J Blackhawk of the JSDF, with a quite particular color. Still we got on it and got underway. The pilot of the helicopter was quite excited flying with us, he seemed quite happy that we seemed to be in one of those scenes from the Vietnam war movies, he even put the song Fortunate Son on the radio for all of us to listen to. Some soldiers smiled and sang along, I on the other hand was starting to feel nervous.
After a 20-minute trip, we could see the island coming closer. Everything seemed quite normal. I instructed the pilot to fly over the island first to get a better view of the situation. The island appeared to be normal, nothing out of the ordinary as far as we could see. When we arrived to see the other side of the island I could see a town with some of its buildings destroyed by the earthquake and a burned school, but it looked quite recent, it was also strange the lack of firefighters or people in that area. A little farther away in a forest I could see a red distress flare, they were JSDF troops desperately asking for help. But suddenly a beeping sound started to be heard from the helicopter's dashboard, The pilot screamed in panic indicating that it was a SAM missile marking, the flares were deployed and the vehicle turned violently to the left, saving our lives.
"Damn it!"
"What the hell was that?"
"A fucking missile? Where did it come from!?"
"Get this chopper scraping the ground or we're dead!"
"You give me the distress flare pack!"
"What the hell is this?"
"Terrorists? The same ones that attacked Tokyo?"
"Impossible"
"Civilians in Japan don't have access to fucking anti-aircraft missiles!"
The sound of bouncing metal began to sound in some parts of the helicopter.
"They are shooting at us!"
"Damn it, we're fucked!"
"They were waiting to ambush us!"
"Screw him"
"Forget it, pilot, land in the middle of the forest"
"No matter if it's damaged, you're sure to fly back"
"The rest of you get ready to jump!"
"You are crazy!"
"It's suicide!"
"They want to kill us!"
"And is going to do it anyway if we don't do something"
"We have to at least take out the SAMs or the helicopter won't make it"
"The pilot will radio for help to rescue us"
"We have to meet up with the JSDF group and hold out until the extraction arrives!"
"That wasn't our mission, it was to find out what was going on"
"We know what's going on, we have to go!"
"Well, the mission has changed, kid."
"Now follow orders or I'll be the one to shoot you myself!"
"You had time to regret it before you joined the army"
"Ready, this is it, open the doors!"
"Okay, quickly move out!"
"Throw some grenades to create a smoke screen!"
"Then get out and secure the airfield! Hurry up!"
The helicopter stopped near the forest, in the place where we were least likely to be shot at. We immediately got out and started shooting in the general direction where the shots were coming from. We didn't know what the hell was going on but we had to keep going. The most important thing was to secure some high ground to see what the hell was going on, so we walked towards some two-story houses while the helicopter waited for the signal to take off again.
From the houses, I could see some people arriving with rocket launchers so we shot at them to secure the main threat. Then I gave the order to the pilot to leave, which did not take long to leave at full speed. The people shooting at us started to surround the place where we were, so I had to order them to retreat and go into the forest to have any chance. These guys simply had too many guns, they all had assault rifles and were firing like they had plenty of bullets. Several explosions were heard in the area we were in before, they even had a mortar group. Who were these people and why were they so well-equipped to start a war?
It all became an intense chase through the forest in which they desperately tried to find us, we had no time to stop and think for a moment. When I realized we were quite lost, so I took out my compass and started walking south, which from above seemed to be the safest area of the island. A couple of moments later a JSDF soldier showed up to rescue us and take us to where the rest of his group was hiding, in a cave in the middle of the forest. Their group was also quite small, and two of them were dead, so that's where I was able to meet them and ask what was going on. As we guessed, it seemed that a group of rebels or terrorists had attacked the shelter that was being built and seemed to be looking for total control of the island. It seemed that a small civil war had broken out on the small island of Izena.
The situation was dangerous enough, it was almost as if we were in enemy territory in wartime. We had to be extremely careful with our decisions and the truth was that the situation was pretty screwed up, there was nothing we could really do to change the situation. Our only option was to hide, wait for the extraction, and prepare a strong assault on the island with more people later. But sergeant Takara Isamu was quite angry with our decision, he wanted to retake the place as soon as possible and save as many people as possible, but it was foolish, even his own men told him about his ridiculous idea.
After a while a transmission came over our radios, it was a transmission from Kasumi, who using a drone was able to find us and prepare a rescue plan for us. A small group of helicopters would land on the south beach in an hour to get us out of there while a group of drones would fly low to create a distraction to the north. He gave me the coordinates of the location, we had little time to get there but it was part of the plan. I trusted my daughter's ability to take almost everything into account and come up with the right decision, so I ordered us to move to the extraction point immediately, everyone else gladly accepted the new order.
We set off and took shelter in whatever houses we could to avoid being spotted. The closer we got to the beach we could see the helicopters approaching and flying low overhead. But the situation became chaotic again when several civilians saw them and started to gather to ask to be rescued also from the battle that was going on on the island. Mothers with their children fighting for space, a couple of wounded people who needed a doctor urgently, and even a couple of policemen who saw how their police station was being looted by the rebels and their weapons stolen, not to mention our group that was being searched to be executed. There were only three helicopters, so decisions had to be made. The wounded would take one, the mothers with the youngest children another, but when we were organizing the last one where all the soldiers would travel in a huddle, a shooting broke out near us, our group was found and we had to run to take the last one.

We had to leave a lot of people behind who were pretty angry and scared for their lives, but there wasn't much more I could do, right now they were more likely to survive in that place than we were. Besides we were not abandoning them to their fate, we were just retreating to retake the place in force later. The trip back was a fairly silent one. Or at least it was until we heard the emergency order over the radio to all military personnel to return to their respective bases for an emergency meeting, according to Kasumi the Korean Naval Fleet had been engaged in combat and had been sunk while en route to Okinawa.
