On a small island overseas.
Whumph!
A Fish-Man suddenly emerged from the sea. He shook his head and quickly climbed ashore.
The Fish-Man’s name was Ye Long. He had noticed this ghost ship long ago and had secretly followed it.
He’d been following the ghost ship, occasionally climbing aboard to eavesdrop on their conversations, gradually gathering some key information.
“The Other Shore, the Golden Trident…”
Ye Long pondered as he removed his wet clothes and quickly dried himself. Then, he took out a green card from 079’s game space.
He placed the card on his body. The card instantly shattered, transforming into a black uniform with a bone-like exoskeleton.
This is a one-time-use item that can be opened from chests or bought in 079’s game space.
Single-soldier Bone Exoskeleton Combat Uniform.
Ye Long looked around. The island’s climate was dry and hot, and the vegetation was lush.
Of course, there were also many snakes, insects, rats, and ants.
The Serpent’s Hand members quickly disembarked. Adam waved his hand, instantly shrinking the ghost ship.
The giant ghost ship became the size of his palm.
Ye Long, hiding in the shadows, narrowed his eyes. “The ghost ship, that’s their main mode of transportation. This is international waters, a remote location. If I steal the ghost ship, they’ll most likely be trapped here.”
Swish.
Ye Long’s figure flashed forward several meters. He started to follow the Serpent’s Hand members from the shadows.
They walked through the rocky beach and lush rainforests. By nightfall, they still hadn’t found what they were looking for.
Having no other choice, the Serpent’s Hand members had to set up camp.
They wanted to make a fire, but it seemed like it had just rained. The leaves were very damp and difficult to ignite.
“Damn it, I should have brought some coal!”
“Doesn’t anyone have a fire-related Ancient Artifact?”
“No, why would there be a fire-related characteristic among the Ocean Ancient Artifacts?”
“Set up the tent first. I’ll think of a way to make a fire.”
The Serpent’s Hand members got to work. Adam was still holding the map and the compass.
“Strange. Based on the location, we’re already very close to the target. We should be able to see it by now…”
Adam put down the map and took out a goatskin book from his luggage. He turned to page 67.

“Just as we were about to give up, we found the legendary Other Shore. Walking northwest, through the rocks, through the rainforest, we saw a huge temple.”
“The top of the temple was a person holding a trident…”
Adam looked around but didn’t see the temple.
Meanwhile, a figure was watching Adam’s goatskin book from a tree.
Ye Long’s eyes narrowed. “Old One’s Temple?”
Withdrawing his gaze, Ye Long began to think. “Based on his map and the book, we should be able to see it. But why isn’t it here?”
“Are we missing something, or did we overlook something…” x2
Adam and Ye Long almost said this in unison.
Hm?
Adam seemed to have heard something. He suddenly looked up and saw the trees shaking slightly.
He seemed to have heard someone talking. Was it an illusion?
From another tree in the forest, Ye Long hid behind a rock.
“That was close. Over 100 people. Over twenty people have Ancient Artifacts. Their effects are unclear. I can’t act rashly.”
...
Several days passed.
Ye Long and the Serpent’s Hand searched the island for days, but found nothing.
The Other Shore was very large, but they had searched inside and out. If there was a temple, how could they not find a single trace?
After several days of searching, everyone was exhausted.
The humid environment, plus the countless mosquitoes, and the lack of fire… ever since arriving on the island, no one had a good night’s sleep.
Gradually, some people started to break down. Their spirits crumbled.
Adam was also exhausted. He leaned against a tree, his eyes bloodshot, looking at the goatskin book over and over again.
“What did we miss… Could the Old One’s Temple on the Other Shore be a conspiracy?”
At this moment, a black-robed person suddenly approached.
This black-robed person had a strong fishy smell, but Adam was too exhausted to care.
The person in black walked over, grabbed the goatskin book, and quickly flipped through it.
Adam was stunned. “You…”
The black-robed person didn’t say anything. He quickly found a page. His fingers quickly moved across the lines.
“We thought we were going to die. When we saw the Other Shore, everyone was on the verge of collapse. For a moment, we thought we were hallucinating…”
Then, the black-robed person continued to turn the pages, finding another page.
“After going through the rainforest, we saw a huge temple… but only I could see it. They said I was crazy, but I wasn’t. There really was a huge temple!”
Ye Long closed the book and threw it to Adam.
He really couldn’t stand it anymore. Not to mention the Serpent’s Hand, even his own mind was about to break.
He killed a Serpent’s Hand member, changed into his clothes, and read the contents of the goatskin book.
Through comparing the stories of the two people, he found a common point.
Both Barrosa and Karen found the Old One’s Temple. The commonality between them was that when they found the temple, they were both on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Ye Long quickly walked forward, using his claws to scratch himself, constantly stimulating himself with pain.
The wounds on his body opened and closed, closed and opened again!
Wave after wave of pain made Ye Long feel like he couldn’t continue, but he gritted his teeth and persisted!
“Ugh!”
Sweat dripped from Ye Long’s forehead. His consciousness was about to be swallowed by the pain. His eyes started to glaze over, his steps slowed.
Then, a cold chill suddenly blew toward him!
The cold air hit Ye Long. He instantly stopped harming himself.
He looked forward. He saw an ancient and enormous temple standing before him!
The temple was massive, like a giant pyramid, covered in moss and weeds. A long staircase led to the top.
At the top of the temple was a moss-covered golden statue. Its hand was holding a golden trident, as if it were about to throw it.
Ye Long blankly walked forward. His mind stopped thinking.
His guess was correct.
Ye Long’s battered body walked up the stairs. Each step made him feel weaker.
He seemed to hear a strange whisper, or perhaps, someone was murmuring.
Adam and the others had caught up at this point, but what was happening before their eyes was hard to believe.
A figure was walking, step by step, towards the heavens!
What is this?
Is it an illusion?
Adam took several steps forward, but his hands touched nothing. He couldn’t see the giant temple, and couldn’t feel anything.
“Could it be…”
