It's been a while, I am sorry for the late but here it is.

After passing many hours writing this chapter, I decided to make a few change for the next incoming chapters.

From now on I'll change from the first person to the third person!

Why? Because I feel like the quality of the chapters when I write in the third person is much higher and allow me to avoid a lot of repetition. I also had a hard time writing this chapter because of how annoyed I was with the first person.

The last chapter which I wrote mostly at the third person was in my opinion of better quality and also easier to write.

As I was running down the marketplace while wondering if I was late for our meeting, my attention was suddenly attracted by a certain stall.

It was a simple stall with a few commodities being sold, but what caught my intention was that it was also selling jewelry. There was various type of ring, necklace, earring, etc… A few of them were encrusted with precious gems and pearl.

While most of them were made of iron and copper, there were a few ones made of gold. I wonder how they would look on Kaiyu… should I take one for her? She lent me a large amount of money, after all, the very least I can do to repay her is buying her a gift.

“Hey young man, are you interested in one of those?”

“Humu, what’s the price for those necklaces?”

Glancing at the necklaces, I instantly erased the thought of getting her a ring. What would I do if she took this ring for a wedding proposal and was suddenly forced to marry her? The necklace, on the other hand, is a pretty safe option and are much more significant than earrings or bracelets.

Moreover, most of them are pretty beautiful and well crafted. At least much more than I saw earlier.

“1 gold for an iron one, three for a copper and five for a golden one.”

Seeing how interested I was in his goods, the merchant didn’t bother boasting about his products’ qualities and immediately wore a merchant’s fake smile, giving me his prices.

Checking out each and every of his products, I noticed a black necklace encrusted with a deep red ruby inlaid in it. It looked pretty simple, yet I couldn’t stop myself from imagining how good it would be on Kaiyu. With her black hairs and pale skin, the necklace would definitely match her style and the ruby is definitely adequate with her cold attitude.

“What’s this black necklace?”

The merchant looked surprised as he glanced at the necklace, perhaps he didn’t think I would pay any attention to this kind of pendant since most of the others were more eye-catching and would probably please a girl much more than this simple type.

“This necklace is actually made of black steel. While it’s more common for it to be used in smithing, I wanted to see how it would look if used to make some jewelry… Sadly nobody like this type of ornament.”

I can somehow sympathize with this merchant. While the result is actually quite pleasing to the eyes, for a girl who want to attract people's attention this type of dark pendant isn’t the very appreciated.

From her cold personality I am pretty sure Kaiyu isn’t the type of girl who like drawing people’s attention, otherwise, I would have probably gotten her a golden one.

“How much is this one then?”

“I will let it go for ten gold.”

I couldn’t help but giggle as I heard the merchant’s price, this is two times the price of a gold necklace and he isn’t even sure to sell it.

“You can make the price lower, right?”

“Ten gold is actually the lower price I can give you, just making the necklace cost fifteen gold. I am actually losing money by selling it at this price.”

“I see, then see you.”

As I was leaving, the merchant’s expression suddenly changed into a panicked one and he hurriedly prevented me from leaving.

“W-Wait, seven gold! I’ll sell it for seven gold!”

Hearing his price, I coldly smiled and approached him, picking the black necklace.

“Five gold, I won’t pay more than five gold.”

“Tch, very well… Just take it for five gold.”

Throwing five gold in his hand, I swiftly left with the necklace made of black steel. If it was my money then maybe I wouldn’t have tried to bargain, but this is the money Kaiyu gave me. I can’t afford to waste too much.

The black pendant in my hand, I hurried toward our gathering point.

“Sorry, am I late?”

Running toward her, Kaiyu had already arrived and was waiting for me. Hearing my voice she turned in my direction and faintly smiled as her beautiful eyes looked at me, very quickly her expression changed; her face turned crimson as she blushed.

“...”

Kaiyu didn’t seem to have heard me, she kept staring at me and her eyes were minutely examining every inch of my body. It was like she was in another world, not paying attention to anything around her.

“Kaiyu?”

“Y-Yes?”

Suddenly regaining her mind, she almost appeared startled as I lightly patted her shoulder. Her appearance was similar to a cat’s one on who you sneaked before catching him, her ears were completely red and I could feel her body, her heartbeat accelerating.

“Did you wait for long?”

“Ah, no I just arrived. Please don’t worry.”

Her reactions were slightly different from her normally cold one, but she pretty quickly regained her composure along with her face almost recovering her original color, still retaining a hint of red.

She tried her best to keep her calm and avoid directly looking at me, but I could see her taking a few peek at me despite her resistance. However, she quickly gave up and openly examined them, probably thinking about how strange her reaction looked.

“You look very good in those clothes…”

“T-Thanks.”

Although I knew from her reaction that she liked how I look like with those clothes I couldn’t help but feel embarrassed as she complimented me.

In the end, we ended both flustered and avoiding direct contact. A long and painful silence forced its way between us and lasted a good dozen of second. It was the time it took for both of us to calm down and return to our habitual attitude.

“Did you already buy everything you needed?”

“Yes, since there’s quite a lot it’ll be delivered at home. I always buy a month worth of food to avoid returning too often to the town.”

Starting talking about our day, we slowly returned home as once again Kaiyu forced her way on me and grabbed my arm and pushed her soft chest on it, not showing any reaction to her behavior.

It didn’t take long for us to return home, by the time we returned the sun had set and the stars started to shine in the sky. The atmosphere around it was peaceful and a strange atmosphere had formed between us.

When we arrived, Kaiyu separated herself from me, leaving only behind her body heat on my arm which she had held until now.

After walking all the day and being involved in many fights, I tiredly laid down on a couch in the living room, momentarily resting my body and eyes. Kaiyu who perceived my reaction faintly giggled.

“Do you want to take a bath before eating?”

My sweaty body requested a bath with hot and warm water, yet my legs were opposed to it and not willing to move the slightest from the couch. No matter what I did, they weren’t eager… Or maybe I just lacked the resolve to move right now.

“I’ll take one later…”

“Is that so? Then I’ll take one first.”

Kaiyu suddenly began to undress in front of me, slowly removing each and every piece of her clothes without even caring about me looking. All of her clothes laid on the ground, her beautiful developed curve were exposed to my eyes as well as her snow-like smooth skin.

*Gulp*

I couldn’t take my eyes away from her body, luckily for me she didn’t give me a glimpse otherwise, I am afraid she of how she would have reacted.

Just like that she left the room and walked to her bathroom, leaving all of her clothes and even underwears behind.

Was it intentional? For a woman to undress in front of a man have some meanings… But it looked like she didn’t care and was accustomed to undress here, I know she is in love with me but most of the time I can’t tell what she is thinking.

She might be trying to seduce me and force me to make a move on her, but since I was rejected in my previous life I am somehow afraid of making a move myself. She might be in love with me but it doesn’t mean I can force myself on her.

I know it might seem strange, but while I sometimes regret using that card on her and manipulating her feelings… I at the same time think that if I could go back in the past, I would still do it.

Since I forced myself on her, I want to treat her with sincerity. While I don’t intend to make her my only woman, I will still do my best to protect her and respect her feelings. This is the very least I can do for her.

In this mindset, I suppressed all my evil thoughts and picked up all of her clothes. It didn’t prevent me from reddening when I picked her bra and panties, but I didn’t take it further and folded her clothes before returning lying on the couch.

Kaiyu’s POV:

Tch, was Radus wrong? He indeed picked my clothes but he only folded them… He said it was a trick that most men would fall into, but Yuu didn’t.

I am currently hiding in a corner of the room, right after leaving I swiftly came back in and hid in order to observe his movements.

While Yuu would be taking my clothes and staring at my underwears, I was supposed to enter back in the room and take advantage of his embarrassed to seduce him and let him take the lead... Or at least, this is how it was supposed to go.

But all that he did was folding my clothes… Am I lacking in femininity? Maybe I should purchase some more feminine underwears next time. At least, I could see him staring at my body when I was undressing and his heartbeat was faster than usual so he must still have some interest in me.

What a fearsome opponent, I never felt so tense even when during my first contract. The first plan failed but I can’t give up yet.

...But he seriously looks very attractive in those clothes, I was so surprised earlier when he came, but they are actually of good quality. Aren’t they made of Black Wyrm skin? I remember hunting some of them in my childhood so I can’t be wrong… I wonder where he bought them.

Maybe I should learn how to make some clothes… But it might take me a long time before being able to produce attire of this quality, the handwork is excellent, I hope he had enough money. This type of clothes normally cost four hundred to five hundred golds… I should prepare him some more.

Thinking about it, our first meeting was strange.

Soon this little frail became larger and larger, even if it wasn’t as large as that blaze, it belonged to me and only me. I wasn’t someone else, I stayed myself.

Before I just wanted to devote myself to him and do whatever he wanted me to do. But now, I just want to stay by his side and treasure this moment, treasure this flame which started to burn with even more intensity than yesterday.

Maybe what I felt before was a fake love who vanished after waking up, I was just attracted to him… Perhaps it was just a dream? And after the dream ended everything transformed into smoke. Nevertheless, I now know, what I feel like is true love.

Just what am I thinking?... I should hurry and take my bath, after that it’s time to resume my ‘Yuu’s Heart Capture Plan’. Prepare yourself, I’ll definitely make you mine!

While I was still relaxing, Kaiyu quietly entered the room dressed with for only habiliment a white towel barely covering the most importants part of her body. Her long black hairs were still wet and the sound of a few drop of water echoed in the room.

Her moist body was even more seducing than earlier and her eyes as she warmly looked at me almost stole my soul. My mouth kept opening and closing as I looked at her.

“I’ll start cooking, just wait a little.”

Kaiyu removed her towel and instead wore an white apron. The temperature wasn’t cold so she probably wasn’t feeling cold, but I, on the other hand, felt my head getting hotter and hotter.

Half an hour quickly flew by since I started thinking about my situation, Kaiyu had finished cooking and I had before me a dish composed of a small pig with fried vegetables and a porridge accompanied with a bottle of wine. She had already changed back into her regular clothes.

That make me remember that she didn’t have any alcohol yesterday, I don’t remember seeing any alcohol in the house. Was she avoiding them before?

I didn’t hesitate and began to eat, after only a spoon of porridge I couldn’t stop myself and began to salvage her dishes.

Kaiyu looked pretty tired and lonely as she stared at her meal, she had barely eaten anything and was constantly sighing like she was dissatisfied with something. Was she expecting me to make a move on her?

I too am annoyed by our current situation, both of us are waiting for the other to make the first move, not daring to take the first step. Her saddened expression is just like a little animal’s one who is on the verge of crying, it make me want to give her smile back and protect her.

Should I make it despite everything? This is her wish after all… Looking at her saddened self, waiting for me to make the first move is making my heart ache, at this point I would be blind not seeing she is trying her best to seduce me.

At the begin, I thought it was her habits, but at this point, I would be an idiot if I didn’t realize it.

If waiting is making her suffer, then I should take the first step.

“Kaiyu, can you close your eyes for a moment?”

“?...”

Slowly lifting her head and looking at me with watery eyes, she was almost on the verge of crying and she avoided looking at me in the eyes. Her current appearance shook my heart, Kaiyu most of the time stay expressionless or wear a cold expression making her a cold beauty.

But this current appearance is the same as a child’s one who can’t manage to obtain what she desire, a little girl who despite doing her best can’t succeed.

Complying to my instruction, her expression turned into a curious one and she closed her eyes.

Taking the black steel necklace out, I leaned on the table and tried to tie the necklace around her neck. But as I was tying the necklace the table slid on the ground, making me lose balance and forcing me to hold on her body in order not to fall.

*Smooch*

It was a pure accident, something involuntary yet happened due to the heaven’s will. As I regained my balance my lips were pressed against Kaiyu’s one who suddenly opened widely her eyes.

Both of us stared at each other for a few seconds before I hurriedly made some distance between us.

“S-Sorry, it was an accident…”

Kaiyu’s face turned so crimson that it wouldn’t have surprised if some steam suddenly started to come out of her ears.

Mumbling something in an unknown language, she disappeared from my vision almost instantly without giving me the time to justify myself.

“...What should I do?”

Kaiyu’s POV:

It was only an accident… How could I not know it? Even with my eyes closed, I could still perceive the world around me. But even so, this made me happy, yet extremely embarrassed.

My heart is beating like crazy, I can even hear it beating. My face is without a doubt completely red.

No wonder I didn’t manage to seduce him. If a simple kiss is making me this flushed, then how could I even manage to bring it up to the next step?

My eyes laid on my neck, around it was tied a black necklace, something he had bought for me. Most jewelry are made of copper of gold, but very few only a little are made of black steel. This is the only type of metal which has a black color.

Looking at it, I couldn’t help but make a stupid smile. This is something he personally chose just for me, the first gift he ever gave me. Even if it probably didn’t have a special meaning, it’s not important. I will treasure it as long as I can.

Maybe I shouldn’t rush it, tonight’s events taught me that I should go at my pace. As long as no rival show up, everything should be alright…
