Reunion

Ren’s POV

I had left the construction efforts to Rock and Stone after the voice began instructing me. I found a secluded part of the beach and sat down. The voice began to guide me as I sat in a strange position. “Ren, close your eyes, breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose.”

I did as he asked and continued controlling my breathing for about 10 minutes. The voice was silent for a bit but soon began speaking. “Keep breathing like that. Now you should be able to see some lights floating in your vision. Keep your eyes closed and breathing stable. Try collecting some of the lights.”

I did as he asked and noticed there were a good amount of the lights. I found two that were not far apart and pushed them together. They combined into a slightly bigger light. I spent the next hour putting more lights into my now large light.

After the ball of light was much larger the voice spoke again. “Ren, try condensing the light. Make it smaller without losing any of its mass.” I began smushing it together until it was a crude sphere.

The voice once again spoke. “Now combine more lights into the sphere. That sphere is your core. Once there are no lights I will return to instruct you, Good luck.”

The voice disappeared as I sat absorbed by the process. I sat for two hours combining the lights until I got bored. I needed to manage the tribe anyway.

I got up and went to find the camp. I had told Rock to set up somewhere in the forest as it would be safer. I followed their scent as I walked through the forest. The trees were different than when I was younger. They stretched so far into the sky I could barely see the sun.

The animals around me got quieter whenever I went near them. As I walked I wondered what the core did for me. I had been instructed by a god to continue so I would. But as I walked I wondered how it would help.

I stopped suddenly when I heard a familiar voice. “Hello Ren, it's been a while.” I became overwhelmed with joy as Lie-nes continued speaking to me. “Ren, I know your people just settled down but I need you to take them and return home.”

I didn't question him as I immediately sprinted to the camp. I burst in and began giving orders. “Everyone, we're moving out. There's a safe island nearby. At this island we will join up with another tribe. Move out!”

The tribe was hesitant but after smacking a few around they got moving. We got back in the canoes and began following Lie-nes’s directions. It only took a half a day for us to make it to the island.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Once we landed I jumped out of the canoe and sprinted for the camp. I hadn’t eaten in almost a week but it didn't matter. I was home! I entered the camp to see a few familiar faces. 15 Kru stared at me in wonder. I gave them a wave with my long arm. Grinning, I walked into the camp. “My people!” I raised my arms towards the sky and addressed them “I have returned!”

Linus’s POV

I smiled at Ren’s triumphant return and sent a quick message to Chief. It only took a few minutes for him to burst into the clearing and embrace Ren. I turned away from the reunion smiling to see that Terry was asleep.

He didn't have any worshippers so unless I gave him divine energy he couldn’t do much. That was why I decided it was time to expand our influence. But first we needed to talk. I shook him awake and grinned at him.

He turned and asked “So what do you want me to do now?” My grin grew even wider as he began to look concerned. “I want you to form an enclave of secret magic wielding Kru. This way they can expand magical knowledge without being involved with politics.”

He gave me an exasperated look but motioned for me to continue. “Take any of the Kru who have a magic affinity except for Ren. I don’t mean just this tribe. Try to get any Kru capable of becoming a wizard. I found an island nearby that won’t be disturbed. They can become a powerful force we can use while also giving you some worshippers.”

Terry smiled at this and said “I’ll do it m’lord. But don’t you want a few magic users to help your prophet? Also before I leave I need to tell you a bit more about your powers.”

I nodded at this and was once again teleported into the lecture room. Terry began speaking “Currently you know how to use a few powers. You use a divine message quite a lot. You also used a basic smite spell during the first raid. Although you haven't for a while. You also have been able to use your divine energy to enhance your worship. You've only done that with Ren.”

I nodded at all of these and was about to ask something but Terry motioned for me to be quiet. “However, you have forgotten the core power of a god. Creation, the ability to create life.” Terry paused and pulled out a small computer. He brought a slideshow up on a projector and began walking me through it.

“Currently your world is filled with one sentient race, the Kru. However you have the ability to make more. You can also make almost any type of monster or animal. You could create plants as well. I have created a room in the mansion which should let you easily make something.”

I got up and was about to check it when Terry gave me a look. I sat back down and made sure to look interested in the rest. “Before we do that let's plan out what needs to happen. I would be honored if you filled me in on your plans.”

I started talking saying “My plans aren't plans as much as hopes that things will turn out that way. For Ren I’m trying to have him unite the isles. This way they can start advancing out of the stone age. For Chief he’s more of a pet project. I’m hoping to have him create a group of elite rangers. Mostly because that sounds awesome.”

Terry smiled at the idea of Chief leading a secret organization and nodded. “M’lord, I get what you want to do with Ren. I think if you give him a few years he’ll easily conquer the isles. As for your plan with Chief , that might take a while. The mage coven will work out pretty well especially since magical affinity is genetic. If two wizards have a kid, that kid has an affinity for magic.”

I smiled at Terry and we both went off to get to work. I gave him almost all of my divine energy so he could use it to entice a few Kru into his new religion. My plan for Ren dominating the Isles was already in place. So with a childish grin I found the creation room and began playing god.
