The Hobbit looked at me panicking over my god map and rushed over to help. “Alright boss, give me the report.” I had no idea what else I could do so told him about the current attack.
He scratched his chin and shrugged. “This seems like a standard attack boss. Not to be annoying but there's nothing you can do. You've been prepping your people for this. So just sit back and let them work.”
Terry’s easygoing attitude calmed down enough to look at the situation. There were around 20 raiders with about half of them having axes. They probably expected an easy fight. Last time they had lost much more than they had one so I hoped a few more defeats would scare them off.
Terry pulled over a chair and watched readily. The raiders had landed their canoes and were moving quickly through the trees. Something seemed different about this group. They all seemed weirdly confident.
AS the raiders entered a small clearing dozens of small rocks slammed into them. The standard equipment for my Kru was pretty basic. They left one hand open to pick up rocks for the sling. The other hand held a stone ax. Their long arm was the one that held the sling. The extra length gave the sling a level of power that hadn’t been seen when wielded by humans.
The raiders were disoriented by the assault as two of them were down. One was already dead while the other's skull had been cracked open. I watched and again the raiders seemed confident.
Even after getting hit by an unknown attack they didn’t seem to be cowed in the slightest. I saw one dressed in a strange outfit covered in bones step up and began chanting. My Kru began to panic and retreat but I sat there confused.
I continued watching and noticed Terry had a grim look on his face. I was about to ask him what was happening when the strange Kru finished chanting. When he did what could only be described as a yeti popped into existence.
I stared in shock as it grabbed a nearby boulder and hurled it at a Kru. With a sickening crunch, the Kru died. Riker rallied his forces and charged at the yeti. I was still in shock when Terry began to smile. He pointed at a Kru watching the battle.
I grinned as well as the Chief entered the field. His first arrow went right through the shaman's chest. Unfortunately, the yeti was still there. It was around 20 feet tall and with one kick could kill a Kru. This didn’t stop Chief's hounds as they slammed into the yeti bowling it over.
The chief kept shooting arrows into the raiders as the rest of my Kru ran into the fray. It was a brutally short battle as the forces collided. With Chief's help with the yeti the 25 or so Kru managed to overpower the raiders. Chief’s cliffords managed to keep the yeti down long enough for Chief himself to finish it off.
Once the dust settled about half of my Kru had died. 15 new souls entered my afterlife. However, the Kru had won. Riker personally thanked Chief although it looked a bit weird as Riker laid down and showed Chief his belly. Chief surprising just began walking away. Of course before he walked away he cut the yeti’s head off and brought it with him.

I had noticed this throughout the year I had been here. Kru really liked taking trophies. Everytime they killed a Clifford they kept the skull. There was a small pile of Clifford skulls by my altar.
I had hoped Chief would rejoin the tribe after the battle but it seemed he was determined to continue his exile. None of his hounds had died and he seemed overjoyed as they greeted him. I smiled constantly as I watched. Then I walked out to greet the new inhabitants of my domain.
I was once again surprised at the fact that Kru didn't seem that torn up from dying. I greeted the new inhabitants and we spent the day just hanging out. I had found out early on that to them I did not look like a human. Instead I looked like a Kru with pure white fur.
I had no idea how this worked but it kept me from having to explain. After a bit of hanging out I went back to my room. There I found Terry with a serious expression on his face. “ Hello there Linus. It's time we have a little talk about godhood.
Ren’s POV
It was time. The shaman had been one of the biggest threats and now that he was gone along with 20 of the newest warriors the camp was weak. In the early morning, around 100 of the 230 raiders were out of camp. I quickly gathered the slaves and made my move.
I had managed to smuggle small daggers for my band and now we were putting them to good use. I peeked outside and saw that there was only one raider guarding the cell.
I quietly snuck up towards him and when I got close I jumped onto him. He slammed into the dirt as I drove my knife into his skull. After making sure he was dead I got up and motioned for the others to move with me.
I picked up the guard’s ax and began walking towards one of the sleeping areas. Most of the raiders were still asleep which gave us the opportunity to take a few dozen out quickly.
As we were stalking towards the sleeping area I noticed something strange. Usually there would be a few raiders walking around. But for some reason I couldn’t see a single one.
As we walked through a tight part of the camp the raiders attacked. I snarled in fury as over 50 raiders armed with axes charged my group. I dove into the melee using my long arm to rip open a raiders throat. I began engaging one in combat as Stone backed me up.
Unfortunately even the slightly better equipment was too much for my half starved slaves. So with a heavy heart I ordered my troops to retreat. We sprinted for the beach and quickly loaded ourselves into canoes. We stuffed ourselves in as each canoe was only supposed to fit two but now held four. Our group of ten canoes began rowing out.
I began to despair as we paddled away. My revolt had only killed about 10 or 20 raiders. However in the fighting about half our numbers were killed. I turned to Stone who was with me and we began to strategize what to do next.
“Ren, what's the plan?” I answered “We’re getting out of here. There's other islands. We’ll form a new tribe. And once we've gathered enough power we'll wipe the raiders out. I promise you this Stone. No matter what every single raider is gonna pay. All of them are gonna die. And I’m gonna be the one to kill them.”
