Chapter 5.4: Lilith Winterburn

Chapter 5.4: Lilith Winterburn

Blare wore a sand summer business suit. Like the name suggests, her suit is the same colour as the white sand, as well as her slim-fit trousers that end just right at her ankle. Blare also wore a three inches heels that had the same colour as her outfit.

Blare drove her Pilmico blue |×|MG ZS SUV that she bought 3 months ago for £12,000. Her Maybach Exelero car and 2 of the seductive dresses was successfully sold online so she bought the cheapest car after. Moreover, Blare currently has £450,000 on her personal bank account. While she invested £3,000,000 on an internet cafe that is currently being built. It was inspired by the Japanese Internet Cafe that Blare has in her world.

She already researched the internet Cafe in this world, particularly in Japan. It does exist but it's just a simple place for gamers and |×|otakus.

Blare copied the innovative Internet Cafe in her world that offers manga and unlimited free drinks. However, Blare will place books in the cafe that is for academics. Those free drinks are either juice, wine or beer.

Of course, those students will need to present their ID's to drink the other two.

It basically became a library but with unlimited free drinks and private rooms. There are a total of 20 small rooms, each can be occupied by a single person and 10 big rooms that can occupy 15 people in one room. Naturally, the internet cafe will have computers and internet connection.

It was located close to a few universities. Blare targeted the students who needed to study or make themselves comfortable, alone or by a group.

'Credits to the creator' Blare clasp her hand together to show her gratitude. She decided to put her faith in this internet cafe to complete the third wish.

Blare arrived 5 minutes early on purpose. Arriving too early will make her beautiful face too desperate. Also, somehow, Blare's gut is telling her that the Rosenthal Conglomerate is getting suspicious.

'Is it because I've been targeting their company? Tsk. Then my gut feeling may be correct.' Blare has been feeling like this ever since she dressed up. Why would it take months? Why hire her in the main building considering that she has no job experience? Those thoughts run in her mind.

Her happy thoughts last night is embarrassing her at the moment.

Now that she's inside the company, she started watching her own actions to avoid suspicion.

Blare walked up on the front desk counter. The woman on the counter sensed her and asked, "How may I help you, Ma'am?"

"I'll be starting my training in the marketing department." Blare smiled slightly.

The woman looked at her weirdly. Blare saw this and thought, 'Of course, who would hire a newbie in a conglomerate? This is definitely fishy.' Blare only smiled in response to her look.

"May I.. have your name please?" the woman reluctantly said. They are still trained to act professionally and not act rashly. Moreover, Blare's whole aura was confident. They have even thought she was a boss in another company. Who would have thought that she was here for training?

Stolen novel; please report.

"Lilith Winterburn." Blare said, a smile never leaving her mouth.

The woman flinched at her last name. Winterburn may not be powerful but they are known in the business world. Even if they're not in Charleston and LeCoultre's level of power and influence.

The woman hurriedly called the HR for confirmation. Sure enough, it was confirmed that Lilith was going to be trained. As the woman informed Blare, a handsome man in his early 30s appeared and offer assistance to guide her.

That man was the current CEO of Rosenthal Conglomerate and the one who accepted Blare in the company, Ace Jaeger LeCoultre. Before the woman in the counter could greet him, Ace eyes squint at her for a second, which made the woman stood in her place and turned to Blare.

Blare was staring at the man and his squinted eyes that lasted a second did not escape her eyes. Blare only smiled innocently and turned her attention to the woman.

"Ms. Winterburn, please follow him. He'll guide you to your training." The woman said and smiled back at Blare respectfully.

Blare thanked the woman and followed Ace.

Both did not talk on the way. Ace led her in an elevator that is clearly used by higher-ups only.

"Sir... I don't think I have the privilege to use this" Blare's expression remained the same. A small smile in her lips.

Ace stiffened for a moment. He thought that the woman would be more arrogant since she was allowed to use the elevator for the CEO. Now, who could blame him? According to his sources, Lilith was a brainless and arrogant woman.

Why?

Because she kept chasing Aiken Charleston like an abandoned pet. Moreover, the woman would always act like an aunt in the market, without an ounce of dignity.

Ace quickly regained composure and smiled. His smile not reaching his eyes.

"I apologize, Ms. Winterburn. Looks like I made a mistake." Ace eyes glint and led Blare in another elevator.

Blare snickered inside, 'Mistake? I doubt it. If this whole "you're hired" situation is fake... I might get a little revenge by being successful.' Blare's facade never faltered.

Ace and Blare entered the elevator. None of them uttered a word to each other. Not until they got out of the elevator.

"Before your training Ms. Winterburn, you have to meet the CEO first." Ace said with seriousness in his tone. Since he was walking forward, Blare did not see the mockery on his eyes.

Blare pretended to be shocked, "I see... I understand" Blare said reluctantly. It was an act to show that she really needed a job. Because in Blare's perspective, what's happening right now was a trap. Moreover, she's starting to get suspicious of him.

From the moment that he assisted her, the employees shocked expression did not escape Blare's eyes. Also, the moment that they left the elevator, the people nearby also gazed at the man and would quickly look away.

'I'm certain he's not just an employee.' Blare's warily looked at the man's back.

The two entered the CEO's office. The spacious place is almost the same size as her apartment.

'Wow,' Blare can't help but admire the office as she looked around. The room's hue is black, grey and white. A very soothing colour fitting for a strict CEO.

Blare really wanted to work in a building like this. Maybe if she worked hard, she might even become a CEO in her own company.

"Ms. Winterburn?" Ace noticed the admiration in Blare's eyes as she scanned his office.

Blare's daydreaming was cut off, "I'm sorry, did you say something?" she looked apologetically at the man.

"Not yet... I can see that you like the room. Please take a seat first." Ace hid his amused smile.

"Thank you" Blare sat,

"The office is just very soothing and it definitely suits the CEO. Speaking of the CEO... please don't mind me asking but, where is he or she?" Blare looked curiously at Ace.

Ace smiled innocently. He still thinks that Blare was clueless of what's happening. In truth, he was really planning to make her wait for hours and watch her go on a rampage.

Before Ace could do that, Blare spoke,

"Unless he's in front of me" Blare smiled, but this time, it was sweet but would make one uncomfortable.

Ace flinched and quickly shot Blare a surprised look.

Blare giggle and mockingly said, "You must think I'm an idiot."
