Chapter 48; dream, how to kill an ogre quickly.

Chapter 48; dream, how to kill an ogre quickly.

Todays my big day, because every day is big, like every other day. You know, a day takes 24 hours of time. Try to do nothing for an hour, it feels like, well... Nothing. It takes so long, but when we're doing something time just flows by like a river. That's one of the many mysteries of the human body, tunnel vision is one way to call it, but it technically isn't.

Magic is one of my interests, a week passed by like nothing. I felt refreshed, my old party showed up and started to try to berate me for leaving and taking so much of the reward, but I cut them off by walking away. Although the tsundere was extremely annoying and stalked me for the last week, but she just gave up. With that, I mean I beat her up and stole her money when she tried to attack me while I was out testing spells on some common monsters. I felt so refreshed after that, and here I was being a good person, controlling my actions. I felt empty for so long, but now that i'm no longer constrained, I feel... Good.

It seemed like it was going to take a while to get this achievement or squire skill/title, so I quickly looked at the build of a few skill choices.

Choices; skill build-up (30)

- Manual undead creation (Legendary) (30)

- Summon greater undead (Legendary) (28)

- Necrotic mana (Legendary) (29)

- Touch of true death (Legendary) (27)

- Infuse death (Legendary) (26)

- Enhance undead (Legendary) (25)

- Control undead (Legendary) (24)

- Aura of death (Legendary) (23)

- Hatred of the living (Legendary) (22)

- Visage of incarnation (Legendary) (21)

- Bone weapon (Epic) (20)

...

I frowned a bit, I hit the limit, and I need an achievement to do with my class at a certain level to break it. Or a squire rank skill, and just one skill point extra and I'd have it. Getting a squire rank skill is hard naturally, without a build up of skill points its practically impossible. My title 'Undead hegemony' Is doing well, but that's about half-way there after 3 years. I got it after gaining a great amount of undead under me because I was able to improve the magic inside an undead, I took the ambient mana harvesting from the enchantment system. It let me not use my mana to mentain undead, creating rolling snow ball to increase into an army of more than ten thousand, going from 'Undead prepotency' to 'Undead hegemony'.

Not like regret can change the past, now what can give the greatest chance at an achievements? 'Visage of incarnation' lets me become a vessel to a soul, the more mana I put in the better the soul summoned. But the achievement could be attributed to the soul and not me, and that soul could kill itself making me die to, so that's a no go.

'Hatred of the living' won't have an effect at first, but the more living things I kill the stronger it becomes. But it's a passive that causes fear and hatred to spread within the living, even the most agreeable and weak willed person in existance will hate me enough to attack me without thought of their own life. And I can't toggle it, so a no go it is.

'Aura of death' will cause damage to all living things in a certain range not including me, but it's pretty weak, but I can toggle it. But the achievements coming from this will be non-existant, so no to the go.

'Control undead' will let me put wild undead or undead under the control of another under my control, but an undead that's stolen from another would need to be mentained even more by my mana than if I made it myself. And the chance to control an undead strong enough for an achiement is miniscule, so go is a no.

'Enhance undead' Will permanently enhance the stats of an undead, but it needs an undead to be there and wouldn't give an achiement. Though sad, go has achieved the prize that is no.

'Infuse death' will infuse an object with the 'death' element temperarily or permanently based on how much energy is used and the caster's proficiency, it's possible, so go has been put on a short delay.

'Touch of true death' Is a passive that fills your body with the 'Death' element with the concept of 'True death' ingraned on it, with 'True death' all spells or skills that bring a soul to the world of the living or animate the body below the power of the spell it is used with to kill from working. Quite powerfull, but hard to improve enough for an achievement, but turning an army corpses with a your breath would be enough of an achiement. So, go has been put on hold.

'Necrotic mana' is a passive that makes all mana using powers and the mana itself have the 'Necrotic' effect, it also makes it that healing spells and purifying spells heal undead instead of damaging them. After a few seconds I came to a choice, since 'Necrotic mana' Empowers damaging spells against the living and makes healing spells damaging spells to the living also damaging spells still work on undead though, it wouldn't help much with achievements. So go has lost it's motivation after an accident and has become alcholic.

'Summon greater undead' gives you a spell that creates an undead that is more powerful than normal undead, but it costs level exp to use, how much you use is up to you though. There were also rituals that let you do it for something like trolls blood and a prematurely born baby and a bunch of otherstuff plus level exp, if this level exp that was used made you go down a level but not lose your skill build up and let you gain another skill build up point I would 100% choose this one, but it doesn't let you get more skill build-up. But a giant undead far beyond my level for 60 levels of advanced profession exp would be unbelieveably powerful. But since summoned beings are usually temperary, and I'd go back to being lvl 1, go has been assasinated by no, no!

'Manual undead creation', huh, I haven't seen that in any records on necromancers. Let's see what it's about.

Manual undead creation

Rank; Legendary

Effect; grants you the knowledge necessary to make undead manually.

Evolution requirement; Make an achievement with an undead created with this skill.

Manual means personally, right? Ugh, that'd mean that I had to do it myself. But the evolution requirement does line up with my current goal... And it works well with my current necromancer build, and some of my normie mage build works well with it too. But it's so... Mysterious and... Unknown. Well... I could go back to the emperor and get the crystal of origin to revert all my class benefits to zero and let me completely undo all the work put into it. Maybe change classes, space mage or astral summoner would be good I guess.

Humans were evolved to seek mystery, and to explore the unknown. I'll do it! Manual undead creation, I choose you!

My body and mind felt nothing, I just looked into my memories and had vague memories with a few clear in them about how to make undead manually. This is just how the framework works, no getting around it. And it's pretty chill, this skill was pretty interesting too.

I like magic a lot, it always has a reason. It's consistant, whenever it is different there is a reason that is there to that even if not seen, it can be manipulated with trail and error in the end. I can learn and improve, slowly over the years create great beings and spells that could contend with even those gifted by the gods themselves to the priests of this land.

It feels nice having an army that blocks out the land, it's a shame undead that have souls usually don't follow orders and those with an artificial mind can't access the framework. I like space magic too, but... There's something about kaiju that I just love, just think of a bone dragon larger than a mountain. It'd be so cool, if I added on a few circles and formations to make blue fire eyes it'd be even cooler.

My imagination is off the charts! Let's find something big first, maybe as big as one of those trulim true royalties. There seemed to be another notification or two.

Your title 'Undead hegemony' responds to the 'Trulim skull crown', allow 'Undead hegemony' to devour the 'Trulim skull crown' Y/N?

Your title 'Undead hegemony' and your skills 'Manual undead creation', 'Create undead' and 'Summon undead' resonate with each other increasing the effects of all parties.

The Trulim skull crown has no value to me, so why not? And so my greatest title has gotten closer to becoming another rank higher and became stronger. I do wonder what this new skill can do, could I make my mountain sized dragon kaiju? Probably not right now, but maybe a big tree sized undead could be possible.

I went back to the city and picked up a quest from the quest crystal, of course it was a easier single target platinum quest.

Ogre slaying

Rank; platinum

Requirements; platinum rank within party

Goal; kill the ogre in the way of a suitable trade route

Reward; 3 gold

Quest giver; golden stream association LT.

Ogres are pretty dangerous and like to eat humans so trade routes are a meal delivery system and the routes that trade routes use are good places for ogres to live, but they strong enough to take time to kill. This perticular quest was made to open up a new trade route, and it was pretty old since the reward wasn't too big. For now I need to keep... Low profile. Growing to quickly is dangerous, while I won't limit my growth, I will limit my official growth. But I shouldn't be too worried about that, since I hit the limit.

I got on a carravan for free because I could protect them, with my platinum power! There were some bandits that came over but a single rend blade was enough to end a life.

When I arrived at the city closest to the quest I bought supplies, a good sword, a fire element magic gem, a bottle of blessed water, some quicksilver, and finally some monster blood. Weirdly monsters and animals were the same thing to the framework, as long as you infuse some mana into chicken blood or something it has the same effects as normal monster blood. And quicksilver is mercury.

To infuse blood you need a magic circle with a circle halfway to the center with a single big rune meaning 'infuse' in the middle, since I didn't have any enchantment liquid, it was what I was making. I engraved it into the earth or stone or whatever it was and filled it with my blood, my blood isn't mana infused but it's good at taking in mana. I put the blood filled bottle in the middle and infused the cicle with my mana, I picked up a random stone and put in a lot of mana.

The mana quickly came off, but before that happened I crushed it above the magic circle immeadiately releasing all the mana I put into it instead of leaking out. The small circle floated above the bottle along with the big rune passing through it, the rune spun a lot while shining more. The rune of light then slowly dissapeared as if dust swept by the wind, the magic circle was still ingraved though. The glowing was caused by my blood, weirdly the metalic red turned into a magical light blue.

I quickly looked at the chicken blood, it wasn't done. Sadly I had to repeat the process a few more times, like a dozen or so times.

The blood, quicksilver and blessed water were mixed together. The blessed water could be someother mana infused water but blessed water is the cheapest, though having the correct element with the crystal and blood would make a better effect, it didn't really matter. It could be made the same as the blood, it just takes a while longer.

I ingraved a few runes on the blade, actually quite a few. the entire blade was filled with a repeat of runes read from the bottom of the blade to the end of the blade, I then permanently used mana to put the quicksilver blood mana water into the engravings for an extended amount of time. The effects were immeadiate, the runes took in the ambient mana and toughened the sword up.

I bottled up the rest of the enchancting liquid, for later use.

I journeyed to the location, and used a basic magic to search for a large mana source. After a day of looking I was able to find the ogre's living area or territory, So it was time to prepare the final preperation.

I took out my bottle of enchanting liquid and a quil, I calmly and carefully drew a magic circle. It had a satan star inside it with two mini circle within with the size of runes between them, this space was filled a repeat of two runes these weren't norse runes but a weird look alike. This was placed on the middle of the hilt, just below the blade.

I heard footsteps behind me, ugh, who is it? I looked over in extreme annoyance, after I used a spell to hide my presence. I also ran away, into the bushes, and also threw two big stones at two other bushes. I saw the tsundere princess and I saw she had more people around her, it was the old party and two other people, probably from the palace.

These people were weaklings, and the palace has a level of support it could give to a princess, and it isn't that high. I walked out of the bushes with an arrogant smile "What is it your highness, what could I do for thee today, preferably me stealing all your stuff again. That was fun, and the profit was good too."

The happy and even more arrogant face she made halted for a second "You!-" Before her small mind could comprehend a comeback, after a few seconds I punched her disgusting face. I showed a refreshed face "Ahh. Oh little princess, you really have good talent as a stress reliever. Whenever I punch you I feel so... delightful." Maybe its my past experience with my 'manager', but seeing that face that says 'I'm better than you' that isn't deserved makes me gain an impulse, to punch.

"Bye losers." I said, I had a job to do, and talking with losers would make me a loser too. I ran away using the spell 'Wind's blessing' to run away to the ogre, I let them eat my dust.

The ogre had no idea what was comming to him, I unsheathed the sword prepared by me. Behind me I saw tsun girl say "I'd like to see you kill that! You're nothing without us!" I ignored it though, reacting to an inferior beings taunts with anything would place me at the same level of inferiority. But I still needed to face slap responsibly, I took out the fire crystal.

I jumped up, and placed my hand with the crystal above the magic cirle on the middle of the hilt. And crushed it, it turned to dust and the magic circle glowed with a firey color. The sword burst in flames showing slight cracks that quickly grew, the power instilled was too much. Before my reinforcement it would turn into a pile of iron and wood scrap in less than a second, but the power wasn't enough. I chanted the names of a few spells, chanting giving less dificultty to my mind "[Flame burst]! [Hell fire]! [Deceased inferno]!" Three spells, the last two having the darkness and death element too respectively.

The flame on the sword bursted out with the colors a normal flame, a black flame and a darkish green flame.

I spun side-ways, passing by the ogre's neck on the way. For some reason I had the sword pointing forwards, sadly killing the poor ogre. Even more depressing was the sword that turned to dust in my hands, I walked toward the corpse and quickly put it into my slightly bigger storage artifact. I wondered what great kaiju I would make with it, all the bones didn't seem to work well with a dragon, but then I remembered a skill that was pretty cheap, 'synthesis' an uncommon unpopular skill, it was commonly found in a bunch of places. It was like a worthless stock that was bought and then sold at a higher price if possible.

That's just how the world works, I ignored the losers and teleported away. infront of the gates, I had gained a 'pass' that let me do it now.

I passed through the gate, and blinked. I got up from the white floor, and started to happily run around. I got something I could use! Those two, an enchantment and a magic circle, aren't hard to copy at all!

Let's think of the materials, I need; Mana infused monster or human blood, mana infused water, quicksilver, and a magic stone or crystal with a bit of mana inside it. Anything with some mana would do actually, as long as I can crush it. I have a few magic stones somewhere in the nooks and crannies of my room, they're really cheap since they're literally in every beast with stats above 20 and has almost no use except jewlery. There's pretty much a few million or billion in circulation right now, I have a few hundred after letting Erebus kill rank 5 beasts in a dungeons.

The blood is easy, just use another magic circle. The water too, magic circle here we go!

While I was cherily running around in my Deais was just sitting there like an abandoned child.
