Duke, the dad of my family. Was kind of shocked at my ability to get free shit, Osgar wasn't. When Duke asked me how I did that I gave the valid excuse "I don't want to waste a penny, so I got some random merchant to haggle with for a skill." It was believable, skills can do anything in the minds of these savages.
After a while the merchant appeared again, behind him a child followed with cold lifeless eyes. Those eyes still had a mind in them, but it was full of despair. Good for my evil plans, I then looked further. The hair was a mix of brown and black, it did seem that there was some blue hidden. There was a collar on her neck, this was just to say 'This is a slave.', it isn't really neccassary.
She wore rags that covered her completely, I didn't see any big scars on her. Doesn't seem a popular pick, if you're wondering. It's pretty normal for a rich guy with sadistic tendencies to buy a slave, beat them severly for 'not working enough', then give them back to the slave merchant for a small amount of the original price, around 5-10% of the one they payed to buy. You'd be surprised how much this happens, especially children. Slaves are also the subject of pedofilia, yep, no matter how disgusting it is, slaves have no rights.
"Virgin?" I asked, she had good skin, even if hidden behind dirt and dust. It's pretty unbelieveable that she hasn't been 'used', but its standard practice to make sure the system isn't lying. Maybe the merchant used an item to hide the fact that she had been used for some extra cash "Yes." Huh, weird "She's disgusting, and covered by dirt and manure, she looks horrible. She had blue tints in her hair when she was young, but it was just a few hairs. No one would buy a dirty child with no light in their eyes to be 'used', and since she's a child and physically weak so she won't be able to work in labor intensive jobs after being nurtured."
So pretty much, it wouldn't even be a problem to get sold for a few bronze. I turned to him and said "Mister, you really did a good job. Here, a tip" I took out 1 bronze coin, and made an inoccent smile, then it stopped in the middle "This will be used in the exchangement contract to solidify my ownership over the slave, you'll be giving me 50 copper back. Wow! Look! 50 copper, isn't that a fortune? Make sure not to spend it all in one place." The merchant walked outside of the room to cry tears of anguish, and get the contract ready
I started to inspect the girl more closely, she hid herself well, but she couldn't hide herself from me. I'm the customer, there was almost a 100% chance that the merchant ordered her to show anything I ask her to show, it was his head on the line afterall. It isn't the truth, but a child doesn't lie much and can easily be presured into telling the truth. Making it easy to play him like a pawn, one of the benifits of having a child's body.
Though in truth, I was quite suprised that he didn't see through the girls ugly make-up job. It is said that perception is part of the WIS stat, the framework said it. She seems reluctant to go away, must have a family here. That won't be a problem, I smiled to her after my inspection and soft interrogation "Don't worry, I'll take you with me to a better place." All of my true acting skills, no framework involved, were going haywire. My brain was going haywire too stop me from cringing, such a cheezy line was unlike me. I also made a golden light behind me to make the girl see me in a more favorable light, golden light has a positive connotation in this world too.
Osgar thought I was lying, so he made sure to support it "Yea, anywhere else would be better than this place." Before closing his nose with his hands in digust, she did stink.
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
I was annoyed by his statement "Almost anywhere, you have no idea what happens to some slaves."
Osgar said in response "Eh, I'm not really a part of the 'Abuse slaves for my own pleasure' group, I don't have that many slaves too anymore. Was soft to them and released them, ran away immeadiately, they thought I was a pushover so I had them executed for sullying the dignity of a noble." That last part made the girl, what was she called again? 2845 shook, her being bought by nobles is quite strange.
Duke had paused, he saw the golden light and was shocked. He chose to stay silent, like a good boy. Made my job easier "At least I won't rape her, that's good, that's better than average."
Osgar thought for a moment "True, but its suprising how many children slaves get raped."
"Yea, its amazing how many nobles have pedofilic urges, luckily our family sees it as taboo. It doesn't make children, and its a complete waste of time and the slave's sanity." I was proud of myself on that, I made it taboo. Raping children for nothing except pleasure is just, wrong. And a waste of money, money is truth, probably.
2845 was elated at the basic moral good, of not raping children for pleasure. Though it was reasonable in this world, such savages. After a while of me and Osgar proping myself up on a pedestal about how I won't abuse her for no reason just to satisfy the hidden sadist in me, there was no suspicion towards us. Why would nobles lie to trash slave like her, she still thought I thought of her as some cheap slave.
Well, she actually was, a very cheap, but valuable slave. Just 50 copper for one that should cost at least 100 gold, my god, am I dreaming. No, I don't have an irregular amount of fingers, there aren't any other discperancies either. I can pretty confidently say that I wasn't dreaming, I was very happy. This is what it means to become rich! Get expensive shit for cheap then make money off of it, making easy profits like this is great! Even if it doesn't work out I can get a bunch of gold coins, making a enormous profit!
A smile adourned his face, to 2845 it was benovolant, to Duke it was mysterious, to Osgar it was a successful business deal, to the merchant that just entered the room it was a smile signifying that if he didn't hurry up his neck would roll across the city streets.
It was a mix of all of the above, all of them have a certain prejudece towards me that makes them ignore what they aren't expecting. This is my greatest trick, the, umm... I don't have a name for it. I was never going to tell anyone about it anyways, so why give it a name if anyone used mind reading technology so that they can easily blackmail me with the trick's name.
Well, who cares. I read through the contract making changes to anything I didn't like, I made, of course a question about everything that was vague. I ain't letting myself get scammed, I am the scammer, not the merchant! After throughly taking every single drop of blood from the merchant while leaving no way to make a come-back, I accepted the contract, after getting a sensing beast over to make sure no invisible text to fuck him over.
I was happy with my erangements, so I went home, though someone was watching me. Who cares, I am the duke's son. Though she probably knows something, I had Osgar get someone to 'overlook' her actions. She was, what Hemdal said, the woman that will be the one to marry the crown prince. Since there's the cliche Hemdal, the second chancer. There could easily be an etome game isekai protag waiting to be found, and like, how unrealistic is it for a commoner to marry the prince, while staying the only wife and queen. There was something fishy going on, which is novel/anime plots in this world.
It's perfectly reasonable, he came here, and he can apearantly keep on reincarnating. not so crazy for an etome reincarnation victim to appear, and my last piece of evidence from Hemdal. She had a reverse harem with my younger brother and many more high class/powerfull people, that don't happen in real life, I smell etome game bullshit!
-Etome isekai victim- (Yep, the chapter's to short.)
My name is Imazuma Amana, I came from another world, crazy right. I'm still in disbelief, the system and everything else was just like in the novel. I was born as the protagonist, a commoner so talented that she got accepted into the royal academy, with the help of a passing noble that felt like it. I made a lot of friends and became popular in my neigborhood, my friends were nice. My parents loved me, and I loved them as if the were my real parents.
Today I saw a boy in a cairrage, someone who's real face wasn't yet revealed in the novel. It took a hiatus due to the writer's stress and anxiety, but he was a big figure. The runaway noble, his real name wasn't really known to me. Only his parents knew the name, and they didn't tell his younger brother his name or anything else except that he should be feared. He was always hidden by the writer, it was straight-up not ever mentioned in the novel. The younger brother didn't even know from which noble family he was from, to protect him after his parents escaped with him.
But you'd be suprised how easy it was to get his name "Able drake, huh." It was strangly easy, everyone in the novel always said 'Huh, I don't remember. It was from 12 years ago, and he was always an insignificant figure.' You have no idea how annoying it was, and able drake was also what the writer used to hide his real name after a while. The one time the protagonist was smart enough to use the name in a skill to find out what he was doing, it was revealed that the name in his status had changed.
I had been the subject of a sponsorship from both the god of darkness and light, I refused both. Though the god of darkness not having followers was weird, there was an entire chapter about the history of the church of darkness 'So that was all fake too, huh. Aren't there too many plot twists to do with the runaway noble?'
