Chapter Sixty one: Army Slayers

BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!

Bullets shot towards Joe in a raging torrent.

Joe walked through the bullets with a grin on his face. They simply deflected off his skin.

The trolls slowly started to back up as Joe walked towards them. But they weren't able to back up fast enough to avoid Joe's attack.

Samantha stayed a few feet behind Joe. Her sword was held at the ready at her side.

Joe placed his foot on the Trolls shielding.

"AH!" Joe screamed as he sent his foot into the Trolls shield.

The trolls toppled in rows. And as those trolls fell they reached up to steady themselves on the other Trolls. Which brought those Trolls down with them. The Trolls pulled each other to the ground in waves.

Now they were sprawled out and weakened.

Samantha raised her sword into the sky.

Then she swung it into the ground.

A slash of red shot out from her blade. It grew in size expontially until it was almost the size of a skyscraper.

CRACKCRACKCRACKCRACK

Thousands of shields shattered in the path of the attack. Their bodies were sliced to bits too.

John watched this with genuine terror.

He'd never heard much about the Warriors or seen much about them on TV. The biggest physical feats that John had seen were people completing the world record for running around the world or the strong men who lifted small mountains. Never before had he seen people that could topple armies or cut armies in twain.

"It's incredible to see members of the top three Warriors in action." Whispered one of the Other Warriors in the crowd.

"I heard the Trumpet Bearer is even more terrifying."

The Trumpet Bearer. That name brought something to mind. John wasn't sure what it was. But it was something.

John didn't know it. But the envelope swelled.

Samantha cut six more slashes into the Trolls.

Where there once was a formidable army. There now was just a field of corpses.

"B. O. B. Be On Bearing. I changed the name of this nation. But despite this sacrifice, the nation still fails. EXPLAIN YOUR SIN!"

Screamed Bob as he drove his fist into his golden Throne. Bob's knuckles were bleeding and possibly broken from his striking the throne. But he didn't seem to care.

The acne riddled Seneschal bowed before him.

"Sorry. Sir. I apologize sir. But even after copying the demons stragedy and organizing into a cohesive group. We've still lost. Twenty thousand shoulders are dead. And they only used two hundread of their soldiers to do so." Said the Seneschal

Bob's face became positively drenched in anger.

"Send in the big guns! The pure breeds! The dragons! The mages! Anything dangerous you can find! We'll teach them not to disrespect us!"

The Seneschal nodded.

"Yes, sir. I will get it organized."

…..

....

John looked up at the sky. A look of wonder covered his face.

In the last few minutes, he'd seen armies split. He's seen armies toppled. He'd witnessed people who possessed power so great that it would not be a conservative estimate to call them demigods.

But those feats paled compared to what was happening in front of John.

A gash was carved through the sky. Covering this gash in the sky was a thick green goop.

A large glob of green goop fell from the gash in the sky. It splattered onto the ground but didn't lose a hint of its consistency. It shivered and shook. Then, coming from the glob was a true monster. It was a Dragon.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The dragon screamed into the sky.

More Globs began to fall from the sky.

Trolls. Dragons. Literal mechs. Old, faceless men in grey robes. The goop was turned into a variety of formidable opponents. And it didn't seem like it would stop falling yet.

A fist slammed into John's face. His six hundred pound frame was sent skidding along the ground.

"AIJA JHEN SEEKENTS!" Screamed a Troll

John looked up at where the blow had come from. A massive bald Troll looked down at John. It didn't have a hint of clothing covering its skin and had a feral smile on its face.

Infinity shit

Fire engulfed John's body. A dragon was blowing flames on him from above.

Most people would panic in a situation like this. But John knew had lost his fear of burning long ago.

John calmly pulled himself to his feet and rose a single leg into the air as the fire engulfed him.

When The fire stopped, John slammed his upraised foot into the ground. He was sent flying towards the Troll.

John directed his shoulder towards the troll's body. The troll didn't even have a second to avoid John. John's six hundred-pound frame flew towards the Troll at a breakneck pace.

"UHHH!"

The sheer amount of force produced by John's six hundred pounded frame moving at that speed was insurmountable.

The Trolls body ribcage was crushed like it was just paper mache.

John shot farther forward. He broke through another Troll before his momentum finally abated enough.

John staggered forward a few steps before finally stopping. John stood there wheezing for a few moments.

John glanced around himself. Everywhere he looked, he saw battle. He saw people viciously fighting for their lives. The one thing he couldn't see was his squad. Cassandra, Charles, Rob. They were all gone.

Fuck. I need to find them.

John started speed walking through the battlefield.

"YIP!"

"YIP!"

"YIP!"

John's dragons called out to him as he walked through the battlefield. At least he had them with him.

Come on. Come on. Come on! John screamed to himself.

He was shuffling as fast as he could. But that leap from earlier took a lot out of John cardiovascularly. So all he could do was slowly shuffle.

"MHHHHHHHHHHH!"

John turned his head in the direction of the sound.

Standing to John's left was a shapeless figure. It had skin drawn all over it, taking the vague shape of a human being.

It wore star-dappled robes on it's flesh.

It was a monster that John had never seen before.
