I woke up.
"Yume~ Breakfast is ready~."
It’s Mom’s usual voice.
"Okay~."
I reply as usual.
When I go down to the living room, Dad says,
"Good morning, Yume."
He looks at me with his usual kind eyes.
After washing my face, I return to the living room for breakfast.
"Today is a bread festival!"
Various kinds of bread are laid out on the table.
There are all sorts of bread, from plain bread to sweet bread, dessert-like bread, and even German black bread.
Scrambled eggs, yogurt, a salad with chicken breast and root vegetables, homemade sausages, and a strawberry smoothie… It’s like a little café.
"Did you forget anything?"
"Nope!"
After putting on my shoes,
"I'm off!"
"Take care!"

… The usual scene.
As I walk along the school route, I reach the usual intersection.
"Good morning, Yume-chan!"
I walk to school with my usual friends.
We talk about the TV shows we watched yesterday as we walk.
Today marks the beginning of a new term!
I’m now a fourth grader.
I haven’t seen Zeus-san since then.
I want to see him, but no matter how much I focus on my left hand, nothing happens.
More importantly, I’m having fun at school now!
Classes are fun (except for PE), and I love chatting with my friends!
Sometimes we get excited talking about boys we like, and I love those moments!
Even though we’re divided into boys' and girls' groups, my friends from kindergarten are still "mixed."
I love "lunchtime!"
I prefer it when it’s my turn on duty... Why? Because I can serve the boy I like, and maybe my "love" will get through to him?
Originally, I didn’t like that "boy."
He would tease me, calling me "ugly" and playing pranks on me. I thought he was the worst.
But one day…
On my way home alone, a stray dog approached me.
That boy helped me, even though he got hurt. He still asked if I was okay, showing concern for me.
Since then, I’ve somehow become interested in him. I find myself looking at him more often, and when our eyes meet by chance, I quickly look away. Just passing by him in the hallway makes my heart race. The deciding factor was when my friend said, "Yume-chan, you like that boy, don’t you?"
Since then, I’ve liked that "boy."
Now, I like the time I spend thinking about these things and myself.
So, I sometimes forget about Zeus-san.
After school, I spend time at home.
Dad comes home!
"Dad, welcome home!"
I hug Dad, and he says,
"I’m home, Yume. You’ve gotten heavier."
He picks me up.
Dinner with everyone is delicious!
Bath time with Dad is fun!
Wrapped in happiness, I fall asleep again today.
