The Tale of Yume, the Book Lover
Night Twenty-Four: After the Encounter with the Gods

Night Twenty-Four: After the Encounter with the Gods

When I woke up, I found myself on the sofa. Did I pass out? No, actually, did I switch places with Zeus?

All three of them seemed unusually happy. Is talking to Zeus such a big deal?

I tried to focus on the back of my left hand... but nothing happened...

Before I knew it, it was already evening.

"I think I should head home now. See you tomorrow," said the man as he left.

"Shall we make dinner then? What do you feel like eating?" "How about sushi?" "Sounds good! I'll call the sushi restaurant!"

Tonight's dinner was "sushi delivery."

We laughed as usual while eating, took a bath with dad as usual, and watched TV as usual.

...No one said anything, and no one asked anything.

And then, on the bed, on the desk, there was a stack of blank copy paper and an old book of fairy tales.

No bedtime story tonight.

I felt like I spent more time sleeping today... but I decided to go to bed quietly.

I didn't have any dreams tonight...

...I'm doing fine, but I'm just a first grader.
