It had been a few days since Felix and the others left for Italy. I woke up from a scary dream about Ruth getting everyone in danger. She out of all people had a knack of getting around to any new fashion available, but not getting around to the latest danger available. It was only a dream. It might not actually happen. She had sent you one hundred pictures from the trip and that's why I had a dream about it. Then again, freezing time wasn’t a dream or a visit from my mother. But also, I never had a vision before and no one gets visions anymore. On the other hand, no one sees their mother again after she dies with their boyfriend hearing every stitch of secrecy in the meeting. Okay, enough with the contradicting Hope. I should at least check up on them. Sliding out of bed, I felt refreshed and new, but the dream blocked these senses.
I snatched up my phone from my nightstand and texted Felix, “Felix r u ok? I’m worried bout u.”
There, now he’d text me back if anything happened to him or Ruth. Thank you, relief!
I walked into the bathroom as fast as a slug and looked into the mirror for the first time that day. My hair was messed up, make-up smeared, face pale, clothes were wrinkled, and I looked like a zombie. This was definitely going to be my Halloween costume this year, no doubt. This wasn't Halloween though; I needed to bring some life into myself and fast before my little sister came into my room, saw me, giggled, and told my image to all her little twerp friends.
Good grief, how could I survive life?
It took me only thirty minutes tops to suit me up. I marched into the high expectation room waiting for my dad to tell me that he's going on a business trip for a week so I was in charge. Then I would be a slave to my snob sister, Lily and my life would be a living hell. Maybe I should have gone on that stupid Italy trip after all. Adding to the horrid morning, our high expectation room was a disaster. Toys all over the place that I would have to clean up, the kitchen counter littered with fresh spilled milk that I would probably have to clean up, a sink loaded with dishes that I would have to clean up, and the carpet stained with spilled drinks and stuff that I would…
Yeah, I got the idea.
As predicted, my dad came into the room and told me of his paradise trip. He told me to take care of Lily and make sure everything is clean when he gets back. I upside-down frowned. “Sure thing Dad, just remember to do well on your business trip, okay? And if things don't go so well, then come home saying, 'at least I did my best.' Good luck out there, Dad!”
He smiled at me, but then handed me a dog toy. “You're a burning image of your mother and do you know who this is? I found it outside.”
I looked at it and gasped. It was the same one the snowy dog had given to me earlier. Besides, it still had written on it, 'Super Accelerate Valiant dog Extremity. Helpful for dog’s Immense Management.'
“Um, yes.” I responded by taking it. “It's my… lucky charm.”
“A dog toy is your lucky charm!?” cried my idiot sister behind me.
“Yes.” I merely responded by gritting my teeth. “It brings happiness and joy to many. Very symbolic.”
I gave dad another hug. “Have a safe trip.” He smiled again, waved goodbye, and walked out the door with every step bringing me closer to my doom.
I turned to my sister. She was wearing pink jeans, a pink shirt, pink shoes, sucking a pink lollipop, and had two side ponyJake.

“Hey, Lily?” I asked in a threatening yet cheerful manner. “Let's clean this mess up together. It'll be sister bonding time.”
“Why? I didn't make the mess; you did. Right when you came home yesterday.”
“No, I went straight to bed.” I smiled. “Besides, you were in bed by the time I got home.”
“That's not what Daddy said.” Lily said innocently.
“Lily, I know what I did. I went straight to bed. I was exhausted.”
I corrected it. “Now, can you please help me clean up the mess. It'll be fun!”
“If it's so fun then do it by yourself.”
“It's only fun if you help me.” I said. “Remember, sister bonding time.”
“I'm sorry.” She retorted. “I'm adopted. At least I don't have a dead mother”
“Lily,” I continued, my anger levels rising. “She died protecting me.”
“That's what she said.”
“How do you even know those jokes!?” I inquired. “Who do you hang out with, the Devil?”
“Hey,” Lily snapped. “At least my friend didn't get me nearly killed? Who was it? Ah yes? Felix nearly got you killed. How does it feel; knowing that your boyfriend tried to kill you!? Knowing that your friends, Ruth, Truman, and Violet abandoned you leaving you to die!?”
“You're the devil!” I growled. “My friend did everything to help and love me! Ruth, Truman, and Violet spent hours looking for us. Felix held my hand through the entire thing!”
But then, Lily said four words that made me lose it. It pierced my very soul, the sinister thing she said, “Yo mama's the Devil.”
I felt my head rush with hot air. “Don't you dare say that about my mother.” I leapt at her, pinning her straight to the ground.
As I glared at her, I said with a witch's smile, “You know what Ruth taught me?"
“Let me go,” Lily squealed. “I'm telling Daddy.”
Neglecting her comment I continued. “She taught me when people like you made her rage with fire. She took them…” I picked Lily up and pinned her on the wall so her head was facing me. “...she would pin them on the wall, and take a roll of duct tape...” I grabbed the duct tape and taped her arms to it ferociously. “And stick them there so they can get out no matter how hard they try.” I finished strapping her to the wall. “Then, you know what she did?”
“She beat them?” Lily shivered.
I taped her mouth shut. “Nope, she left them there.”
I walked away. “Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have a friendly visit with Violet, where you won't be to pester me.” I opened the door, looked back and said, “Sayonara, Lily Noel Aaron. See you in a couple of hours.” I slammed the door behind me and rushed to Violet's.
"Mom is here," I stopped with the fear of death planted in my essence. Time was frozen.
"Hello, my daughter," said Mom's beautiful songbird voice in my head. It burned me with the emotions of armies and flooded my eyes in tears.
"M-m-mom? What's happening!?"
"Yes my daughter, it is me. Felix, Ruth, Truman, and Khabira are imprisoned in Switzerland. I have reincarnated as a white dog to watch over them. They need you."
Felix, Ruth, Kristy and Truman were in danger in Switzerland? Oh my everything. for the love of my soul, please jot them. Not my best friends in the whole world.
"Help me, Mom, please!"
"You are the safest girl in the world. External light will not move until you reunite. It will be stopped for a long time. Be knowledgeable in reality and in us. Your friends are together. Remember them."
"Thank you. Thank you with everything I am. I love you.
"I love you, my dearest. Thank you for being you till fullness."
"I miss you more and more. I'm sorry I am so mean to Lily. I don't know how to be a big sister without your guidance. I'm so sorry, Mom."
"I'm so sorry I left you. Please, forgive me. Close your eyes."
"Thank you Mom," I said and I closed my eyes.
